Hey Marie Trucker, thanks so much! You save me a ton of money, and I never had to bring my truck to the shop :-) I even learned how to get that wiring harness off and made my own video showing that as well. Thanks again!
There are actually several steps to take before just jumping in. First be sure you have power from the main harness to insure the problem is not in the actual assembly. Switch the module from the other side to test if it works its the DRL module. If it doesn't work switch the known good ULB module, it's the other ,square , module on the assembly. If the ULB module is bad, it could essentially destroy a newly installed DRL module. Ask me how I know, lol. Power passes through the ULB to the DRL.If you replace one, then replace both. As in the above video if the DRL looks burnt, but works, it won't be long before it's toast. Personally, freightliner has aftermarket replacement assemblies for half the cost of a factory replacement. Just buy 2 and get it over with.
This guy is right, thats the part number as described. Many freightliner dealerships dont have the part, but keep calliny and you will find it. It costs around $200! I found mine
Both of my dash light running light are currently dim and the turning signal does not work on them. I'm guessing try replacing both of the modules first?
@nikolaveskovic3910 yes, I bought new headlamps from the dealer. The OEM headlamps come with modules on them so no need to buy modules separately. $767.00 for 1 headlamp at the dealer.
I got the same problem with my casacadia but the lights is dim so is turn signal any chance I can do anything to make it go bright again? I haven't touched anything because I looked and saw it was a set up I'm unfamiliar with and don't want to make things worse. Also can you tell me what that part name is you replaced and where you found it? I'd appreciate it thanks
I just changed mine for the second time it was the passanger turn signal everything worked fine ,second time it blew now passanger turn signal and passanger daytime running don't work even after I changed it I'm trying to look for the fuse for it can't make out witch one it is can anyone help plz thank u
thanks for this, i have the same lights what is happening to mine is that the daytime running light and the amber turn is dim. it works only very dim. any suggestions?
That’s not true go to another Freightliner. They are trying to rip you off a lot of money. My video clearly shows that you can replace just the part. There are some honest dealerships, very few but there are some. I’m thinking about buying a bunch of them and then resale them to people that have dealers trying to scam them. I do this for other parts. Charge maybe an extra 5 or 10 bucks on top of cost just for my gas and time. I don’t know. What do you think?
Both my turns signals are doing this, dim when on and not flashing, do I need to replace this one in each side of head light or just driver side. I find it hard that they both went bad at same time?
If they are dim it’s most likely a voltage problem in the wiring harness on the truck side I’m tackling this right now. Did you get this problem resolved if so what was the problem?
I looked into them. They are about the same price but they have to be an all in one with one power source. Freightliner said to change out the harnesses and reprogram would just cost more. But I agree. They are a complete pain
Take the headlight out replace the module which I showed in the video, then put the headlight back in. If you want a step by step video I can do that but it’s very simple.
Hey brother I'm having and issue were the DRL IS working but the blinker is really dim and not blinking any ideas , it lights up orange but really dim with no blinking
It’s the part that I replaced and the updated part number is in the description. That part serves a couple of purposes. Not only the LEDs but it also is the function for the turn signals. If you replace that and it doesn’t fix your issue it’s going to be the harness connector. But 9 out of 10 times it’s that part I showed how to replace.
Hey brother I replaced the module on the back for the blinker like you said it worked fixed the problem, but it only lasted 2 months and blew again, and I also noticed when I replaced it the first time the back of the headlight where the module sits in place it was slightly melted
The part is from Freightliner. They try to sell you the entire assembly but they sale just the part. You can also google the part number and find it elsewhere
Hey Marine Trucker do you have any idea why this part keeps dying on me, I’ve replaced one 2 months ago and now both the replaced one and the other one died. Thanks for any ideas
Hey buddy. Sorry for the delay. So they keep updating that part. Since I purchased it I believe they have updated it 3 times. I actually had mine for two or so months and it went out on me and they said it would take a few days to get the updated one in so I just purchased a after market headlight to keep rolling and I just haven’t went and got the new updated part to reinstall it on the old headlight. I’m not paying $1200 for an oem headlight lol. So I have a spare if need be. The old version that I had originally got was part of the last batch before the update. Seems to be a heating issue from what I’m being told between the part and the harness. I honestly think the QC just doesn’t matter anymore. Look into getting the new updated one that I posted. And if you have good luck with it. Post again and let us know.
On eBay I just try to switch from my passenger to driver side But it not working ether So I think have to replace whole headlight or check the fuse My signal not working but day light is working
These trucks are completely trash. The company I work for bought 40 of them in 2019. Been nothing but trouble since day one. And a real nightmare now they are all approaching 700,000km. They will be updating the fleet and will definitely not be going with crappy overpriced cascadia's
All truck makes have their issues and design flaws. IMO after owning several, Cascadia’s are cheaper and easier to maintain. Emissions are the issue with them. My dream truck is a KW W900L
Hey Marie Trucker, thanks so much! You save me a ton of money, and I never had to bring my truck to the shop :-) I even learned how to get that wiring harness off and made my own video showing that as well. Thanks again!
Thank you for this. I was told you have to replace the whole thing. Got the part and replaced it myself you saved me some money thanks for the video
Glad I was able to help in a small way

You’re very welcome
Do you remember when you could just buy a 5 dollar bulb at the truckstop? Gahhhh

I have this problem too, how did you solve it?@@dre7021
I switch from my passenger to my driver but it still not working for a signal
Running day light is good
But no signal
Any advice?
Thank you!
What about a light that doesn't want turn off. actually the headlight keep blinking on and off when I have my truck in idle mode for the APU
I couldn’t answer that. Sounds like an electrical issue with the harness. I’m not a mechanic. I own a trucking company and have my own trucks.
This video helped me just happened to me thanks man....
I have the same problem Can you mention the part name and where can I get it?
I have the same problem but with the amber turn signal, can you give me the part number or the name of the part

So Freightliner told you its not possible/very impractical to convert from the all-in-one to the conventional bulb-type headlight housings?
Yes they said due to the harness needed and computer software.
If you know of a way let me know
So I have the daytime running lights out and the amber one in the same spot. Can I replace it. Instead of buying the headlight
Yes. This controlls both.
Where did you find the part freightliner says you have to buy the whole head light assembly $1250 X 2🤯🤯
I purchase them at Freightliner.
On eBay or Amazon only $350 each headlight
Module part $180 😅
Hi sir you think we can buy that part and where tnx
Day time running light is working but signal light not working? Any guess
If you have the all in one headlight like in the video it’s the part I replaced.

Thanks how to change bulb plse reply
You can change the low beam or high beam bulbs on an all in one enclosed headlight like this
New subscriber after watching ya on Nevada live stream.
Hi, Where you got the ELD Bulb from?
Did you put new headlight or aftermarket part
OEM parts straight from Freightliner
Thank you very much.. God bless you 🙏
Thank u brother. Will try to fix it at weekend
I just had the yellow signal light go out. Do I have to replace the whole headlight?
No this part will fix it.
You can’t change the turn signal bulbs on these newer models?
If you have a all in one headlight your right you can’t replace the bulbs individually exceptThis part is the running light and turn signal light.
Thanks freightliner to replace the part you have to replace the the hole hosing

Is it possible to switch the bulbs for brighter light in this model??
No it’s a completely enclosed headlight.
Thanks this video helped me much bro
These new trucks are a pain in the rear!! Get an aftermarket headlights assembly & save the headache. I had a 2014 FL, and it was a consistent problem
I looked into them. They are about the same price but they have to be an all in one with one power source. Freightliner said to change out the harnesses and reprogram would just cost more. But I agree. They are a complete pain
