I went straight to Eden herself: "I made up "cheimonette", so technically it doesn't have a real pronunciation. In fact, *I* kind of mispronounce it. The Greek word "cheimon" (storm) is pronounced with a Arabic/Hebrew guttural "ch", like CHai-moan. And plus the French feminine diminutive at the end, the word should probably be pronounced "chai-moan-ett". I usually say "shai-moan-ett". ;)" ... Continuing the geek fest (not to be confused with Greek fest): so classical and modern greek are sometimes pronounced differently & usually the pronunciation of the classical greek goes for a hard "K" instead of this sort of aspirated sound.... like the "ch" in "chaos" ... as in the productive chaos of this little storm!! -- Dang! The challenge at Mindful Tarot will probably be less challenging than figuring out the name! xoxoxo

I've had this deck for a while but very rarely use it -- and i don't know why. It's SO beautiful and i love the size, makes it feel more intimate. Now I know which deck I'll be playing with today :-) Keep the reviews coming, honey! x
Just bought the deck! I think this deck would work great combined in a reading with more traditional RWS decsk to see what other interpretations the Cheimonette deck may inspire. Can't wait to try it when mine arrives!

I agree about the back of the cards, I find them way too busy. Love the black and white fool. The artwork is gorgeous. Not sure about changing names of majors. Time for the Hermit???Thank you for sharing
+Christine Hilliard yeah right, finding cards facing the wrong direction drives me nuts lol! Ithink th hermit change is wonderful, he was often seen as father time in lots of older tarot decks- that one really works for me since id been reading with those older decks already. I dont think it necessarily has to change the card meaning much, especially not with the way she's drawn him in this deck. Thanks so much for watching! xoxo

the sun card... it's the woman on the left and softer looking (than some) male on the right isn't it? And for the 4 of staves is it a girl with pixie crop or male? Is the other a sage or is it being sexual/perversely sexual for this particular deck I'm not use to the sexual decks..
