In my opinion, Season 5 was when Step by Step .... 'Jumped the Shark'
1. The "Cousin Oliver" situation of adding Lily to the show
2. Sasha Mitchell being forced off because of a domestic violence issue (which he was cleared of)
3. Having Flash as a replacement for Cody.

He was the original Hobie, Hasselhoff's son. He grew to big to continue into season 2 and got the 'Step by Step' job instead.
