I used to work with a German who speaks German, Dutch, French and English. Worked with a Belgian at the same firm who speaks Dutch, German, French, Italian and English. Europeans are so blessed to be exposed to so many languages.

Nico drove carts in the Netherlands and lived couple of years in the Netherlands and he speaks good Dutch but he lived in Germany by the border so he understands and speaks Dutch
Max also speaks German pretty well, But I only see Nico and Max Speaking dutch with each other. Maybe because they know no other driver speaks dutch (maybe Lando a bit he is half Belgium)

I think its more second nature to him, where Verstappen only speaks German with Helmutt? Allthough now I think of it I belief that would be in English.

Wie weet...Ric flirt al met Ferrari, Merc zit potdicht met Hamilton en Bottas, RB lijkt af te glijden en Renault heeft geld zat. Zit gewoon een beetje te freewheelen nu maar zouden prima teammaten zijn. Vergelijkbaar met Ric qua sfeer in ieder geval.

He lived 3 kms away from the Dutch border and used to kart a lot in the Netherlands.
I think he lived close to the Dutch border and i think (im not 100% sure) he drove karts there aswell
