Do you think patients are abused where you work?
Years ago, I was inpatient after an overdose. I was forced to do a strip search upon be admitted. It was humiliating. I thought the staff were rude. I refused to go to groups so I dont know about that…
I basically told the psychiatrist what they wanted to hear so they discharged me after 72 hours. Later I found out that that UHS facility was closed down for fraud. But ya my stay was horrible. It didnt make things better. Its been about 20 years but I have refused to see anyone in the MH field ever since! Randomly this video popped up so I decided to watch
I have one more question. If patients want to report a nurse or Doctor for abuse are they allowed? What about a lawyer?
