As a Stay and Army myself, BTS has officially Best Rapline In Kpop. Period. SKids is second best in kpop and has still has longway to be at same place as BTS. RM,Suga is doing this since12 years old in Underground Hiphop
As a Rap fan since 1995 i have to say Changbin's flow is on another level from both groups for my preference and style at least. But the BTS trio is probably stronger overall vs skz rapline. Changbin might not have the best meaning and layers but his flow and power is insane i love it.
There's a clip of early days Suga doing his part from 2 on a radio show even faster than in this. I love this live, he has so much swag, hope you see it at some point!
Glad to see your reaction to the first 2 Cyphers! Looking forward to the next 2, and surely you'll do the Cypher medley live performance! Context helps appreciate the Cyphers. In a nut shell, (please delve into the whole nut bowl!) Pt. 1 was released in September of 2013. Over the course of the Cyphers, the rapline claps back at those who criticized especially RM and Suga for leaving underground rap and "selling out" and becoming idols. Cypher Pt. 4 is technically the last Cypher and contains their 'final' message to the haters. I leave it to others to suggest which rap songs you should tackle after the Cyphers as I love them all and will be happy to see you check out anything from them. 💜
Love the hair Nelson. Old school ARMY particularly love the Cyphers because it was the one time the BTS rapline really clapped back against their haters (particularly a rapper named B-Free). Tired of being called sellouts for joining a kpop band and being told they can't define themselves rappers because they are too pretty and feminine. Supreme Boi was an initiate with the other boys pre-debut, he backed out and instead became their producer and friend. Cyphers 2 and 3 are possibly my most favorite rap of all time by anyone. As for solo raps they all have lists of great stuff. My personal favorites are JHope: Baseline, RM: Do You, Suga: Interlude : Shadow. Great reactions!!!
Solo recommendations (this I hard by the way lol): -Jin: Awake, Moon, Yours -Yoongi: First Love, Seesaw, 28, People, Song Request, Burn It -RM: Do You (original MV doesn’t have cc so look up music video with English subtitles), Forever Rain, Winter Flower -Jhope: Daybream, Ego, MAMA -Jimin: Promise, Filter -V: Winter Bear, Snow Flower, Christmas Tree -JK: Falling cover, Still With You, Begin
yay glad to see you back reacting to bts! i agree cypher pt 2 is one of rapline's best tracks, i also believe that yoongi's fastest flow is in this part. there are only 4 parts of cypher, but there are other rapline only songs there are live performances for each song individually but there is also a medley version that's pretty popular
supreme boi was a BTS rapper trainee when they were supposed to be a hip hop group, with RM and Suga (and some others) , then he leave as trainee when the project change for a idol group et became one of the in house songwriter and producer for Big Hit. He produced a lot of BTS song, during years . Bts rap line make me fall in love with this type of music , I really enjoy Cypher 2 and 3. The rap line have a live performance with a Cypher medley, feat Suprem Boi, it's incredible !
If you're looking for solos from the rap line, anything on RM's "Mono" mixtape is wonderful, and Suga as Augst-D is amazing. J-Hope's "Hope World" mixtape is full of gems, too. J-Hope's "Daydream", Agust-D "Daechwita" an RM's "Moonchild" are my favorites. You can't go wrong with any of them, though.
Part 2 is definitely my favorite 😍 but part 3 is also a Banger 😄 There is a live medley of all 4, so if your interested in watching a live after hearing all 4 you should definitely check this out! And if you liked RM‘s part here, I definitely recommend for you to here „throw away“ and „Do you“ 😬 Thanks for the reaction, be safe 💜
For solos, it's really hard to recommend just one from each, cause I guess we all have diff tastes. For example, I know a fan favorite of JK's is Euphoria but that's my least fav of his three BTS solos :D So I would recommend to listen to each member's solos at a time for comparison (with a lot of them you'll find that there's genre diversity so it will be interesting). I know you reacted to some already tho. Here's the list, chronologically starting from the first album they added official solos (Wings): Jin: Awake, Epiphany, Moon Suga: First Love, Trivia: Seesaw, Interlude: Shadow JHope: Mama, Trivia: Just Dance, Outro: Ego RM: Reflection, Trivia: Love, Intro: Persona Jimin: Lie, Serendipity, Filter V: Stigma, Singularity, Inner Child Jungkook: Begin, Euphoria, My Time. Note: The Trivias are part of their Love Yourself trilogy that illustrates different stages of love (honeymoon stage, pain/toxicity in the relationship, then the realization you have to love yourself) and they help with illustrating that narrative. It's not a must to listen to them at the same time, but if you choose to, they were in this order: Just Dance, Love, Seesaw. And also, Intro: Persona, Interlude: Shadow, Outro: Ego are also in this particular order illustrating Carl Jung's concepts of a person's ego, shadow etc. That's another way to check these if you want, combined with a quick explanation of the concepts/lyrics. If you're not delving into the concepts/meaning behind it, I suggest just listening to them separately. They're great songs anyway. And another note that might help: Jin's solos are usually ballads/pop and this extends to his non-BTS solos like Abyss and Tonight (I know you already listened to Yours). V's in a similar vein, he goes for chill ballads and R&B (non-BTS solos: Snow Flower, Sweet Night, Winter Bear, Scenery, Christmas Tree, 4 o'clock). I love these two singers to freaking bits but you won't find as much variety in genre if that's what you're looking for. Jimin also has a non-BTS solo, chill: Promise (but his BTS solos are very diverse). I think JK also has smth but I am not 100% if those are his or covers (I've been out of fandom till recently) and those are also chill. His BTS solos are also slightly more diverse than Jin/V. The rap-line is where most of the diversity lies imo. And if you want more of that, you can also check out their past intros, (underrated) masterpieces imo: What Am I To You (RM), Nevermind + The Most Beautiful Moment In Life (Suga), Boy Meets Evil (JHope). Highly recommend checking the lyrics tho :P I hope I didn't leave anything out, other armys please fill in the blanks :D I also hope this will help you know what to expect, more or less.
@@guardianoftime2 thanks though ! Idk who else it helps but it did help me structure their solo works (in my mind) since I am comparatively very new ARMY. So Thanks again😅
@@ProProcrastinator108 oooh I'm so happy it helps! To add to that, there's also JK's countless covers (you can find on youtube and soundcloud), and Jin has a couple covers too, plus rapline's mixtapes and collaborations with other people, it's so hard to keep track of all 😁 like, I just recently discovered a couple of RM's collabs with other korean artists, and I don't think they are promoted as much among international armies so it's easy to miss out on stuff 😭. Anyway if there's anything you need to know more about don't hesitate to ask! And enjoy the musical journey! 💜💜💜
For solos, I'd recommend one of each member that you haven't watched yet. I'd recommend their solos in their Love Yourself: Answer album but since you have reacted to Jin, Jimin and V solo from that album, I'd suggest other songs. For the rap line, I'd recommend the Trivia songs starting from Jhope then RM then Suga (because this is the order of the story of their song lyrics) 1. Jhope - Trivia: Just Dance 2. RM - Trivia: Love 3. Suga - Trivia: Seesaw For the vocal line, 4. Jin - Awake (Wings album) 5. Jimin - Filter (MOTS: 7 album) 6. V - Stigma (Wings album) 7. Jungkook - Euphoria It's best to watch a lyric video then a live performance. Hoping to see your reaction to these songs soon. :)
Supreme Boi is one of the music producers of Big Hit. Not sure about this but I heard he was one of the trainees to be part of BTS but quits when BTS became an idol group instead of a rap group. He decided to be just a producer so Bang PD convinced Suga to join BTS instead. (ARMYs please correct me if this is not true) There is a live performance of Cypher Pt. 2, Pt. 3, P.4 and a Cypher Medley ft. Supreme Boi. I haven't seen a Cypher Pt. 1 live though. Edit: Cypher Pt. 2 is my favorite but Cypher Pt. 4 is better if watched live because you can sing along a little and the beat is so cool.
@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971 I knew I've read it somewhere a couple of times. But I also have read misinformation about BTS before so I have to make sure. Thanks! :)
Hmm, pt.1 was on 2013... Hmm ale part 4 the last one was from 2016, so this is quiet old staff. (so like one in year) Hmm so there are lives for all parts, and I know people will tell you to watch Medlay (but it is fragments of all cyphers) and it us great they did it on 2017 so we didn't here older cyphers live for some time so it was the best gift, but I honestly think if you liked pt2 then watch it the same goes for pt3, bc there won't be full songs in Medlay except cypher pt 4 it is all in this performance. 😉 They stoped with 4, but then they give is Ddaeng. Then we have Her, Tear and Ugh from rap line, all great songs.
2 and 4 are my favorite cyphers but Jhope kills 3. You can see Jhope’s growth through these cyphers and how he finds his own style. Also they sound a lot better live.
RM for sure is widely acclaimed for his lyrics but you haven't really come across his earlier more aggressive raps. That's probably why you were taken by surprise at how hard he went . There is a reason why he took the name of Rap Monster( yes even he accepts it's kinda cringey now). He has tamed or rather changed his rap style for it to be more poetic n meaningful rather than hard hitting outright bangers. So, wait till to get to other stuff from him like Ddaeng, Ugh, Cypher 3, Joke, Do You etc. Man can RAP rap. He is famously called The Philosopher Who Raps. Great reaction btw ! Glad you enjoyed 😅 PS: I understand what you were trying to imply( about how u know they can rap but they have to do lots overall so....) but kinda left off bc well people would misunderstand😂. You were obviously saturated with too much BTS n hence took your time off which is a great thing. I hope now that you come with a fresh perspective, you would realise even if the Rapline do all the other stuff that entails with being BTS, they are innately HipHop heads n never compromise on that aspect while making their music. They do take a back seat in the group songs( the more recent poppier ones) but their solo work or the rap heavy ot7 songs , they give it their all.
@@AggressivelySweet it's very good, the music suits jimin a lot, I recommend you react to those videos with the lyrics, because jimin's friend also sings, then you'll know who's singing that part, but there's also mv, but it's scenes from the drama

Cypher 1 was okay, was not underwhelming. It only gets underwhelming when there is a comparison. Cypher 2 is just impressive.
Still 1 is better than many rap cyphers
cypher is basically a circle of rappers freestyling one after the other. usually semi improvisational
