In a small space, the goal should be to have multi-functional gear. The fuel efficiency of the alcohol fireplace is low, not a good thing. The saving grace for this unit is that it quickly warmed you up. It can keep food warm on the top surface and as we noted in the video, the pot support in the hot gas stream in the exhaust will bring a pot of food/water to the boil. For the price of extra fuel, the pleasure of a fireplace might be well be worth the extara expense to many. Any improvements you make will be an added benefit!
