- In this filter review I test out the K&F Concept ND2-400 Variable Neutral Density Filter. This variable ND filter has a range of 1 to 8 stop in theory, but upon testing this filter the range is closer to 1 to 6stops.

Charles, thanks for your efforts to explain us in detail what its possibilities/limitations are. Keep up the good work!
My pleasure!, thank you for letting me know
you made it so easy to understand the nd filters for the people like me who want to use them but dont know anything about these..Thank you so much for your effort Charles..as a subscriber i am looking forward for more informative videos on this channal..
Awesome, thank you!
Conscious as always of my fixed income budget and after a lot of YT research, I recently ordered a K&F NANO-B series ND2-400 variable filter. According to the reviews read, this series has cancelled out the dreaded X-Factor. When it arrives I’ll test it out and revisit your page. Thanks for your in-depth episode Charles. By the way, from what I have seen, using these filters gives rise to very very long exposures. As in tripod only and remote shutter releases, yet your stopped down exes are quite short🤔…✌️🌻🇦🇺
Exposure length depends on how much light is available, so if you shoot in the middle of the day the exposure will be much shorter than early morning or late afternoon.
Also the Variable filters that state no X also state the focal length of the lens you can use and the strength of the filter.
Hi Charles, thanks for this. Recently got this filter and found your vlog both useful and instructional. Total newbie when it comes to filters.
Great to hear! and glad that this tutorial was helpful. Check out this video that may help you as well.

Does this still allow you to use the lens hood included in the lens?
Yes, I can still use the lens hood
@@CharlesNPhotography Thanks!
@@kmon9871 You're welcome
KnF or K&F...?
Is this new brand filter lens..?
Yes, but they have been around for a while. But are promoting their filters much more these days. But I don't think that they are as good as Haida or NiSi
K&F is the name
Worried about Charles…you maybe experiencing early signs of Parkinson’s disease… get checked out ! CBD oils will help you! God bless !
Thank you for your heart felt concerns about my health. I have recently been tested for Parkinson’s and it has come back negative. a Specialist has mentioned that it is most likely caused by my PTSD.
@@CharlesNPhotography I wish you the best of health!
