Sometimes we have to sit and think how people earn money and spend it. When we give money for our churches or mosques we wish that the money goes to the betterment of poor people who can not support themselves. But the day we find out one or priest abuse that money we go cray about it til we are no more sure if we can ever contribute to that particular religion at least. But contributing for a guy singing the song almost all Ethiopian can makes me confused and the way he use the money has nothing to do with our country makes me sad and think why we love such a person at all. Dont you think people he is exploiting us playig by our emotion? I dont know about you but for me he gives me an idea to think the now Ethiopia in particular and any country in general. Why dont people like in Norway sing about their country the way we do? I expect they sing 1If 00 times more than we do if country means what a country do for its citizens. Infact they should cry and get hysterical every time they sing or hear any song about their country because what they country do to them is beyond any word can describe. If every citizen in the world sing for his or her land the way we do i think our world is the most beautiful thing ever. But the dont do. In short i love my country but dont deserve such unconditional love. We have to check our songs about our country, the texts the message,etc etc. Doing this wont reduce our love for our country. Not at all.
NORTAMRAT MELESSE. There is not wrong in loving your country. Singing is his job. We all do try to do our best in our job and some people may like what we do. That is what he is doing. He is doing his job and it's good and we like it. You said why other like Norway don't sing for their country like we do.. My answers is Norway is not in the the middle of cawos, it's not divide by trib like we are. They are not leaving there country for better life because of dictators and so on. So we need a song to get us united, strong and hopeful in the future. I think that is a good thing
