@@gb5634 nah, his vocals aren't sped up in the original song. this was the tempo the original beat was produced at, but before recording Drake supposedly wanted it faster so they just bumped the bpm up a little, but that's all setup before any vocals are laid down. messing with bpm of vocals afterwards in a DAW is kinda wonky because by default the DAW will try to warp the layer to match the bpm of the rest of the layers so then you end up with some weird sounding pitches. it probably just sounds different because logically, if you're recording at a higher bpm you're probably exerting more energy, hence your vocals are stressed more, hence your pitch is higher. so when you strip a song like that back of course the vocals are also going to be mellowed out, so they'll sound more like his typical speaking voice if that makes sense

When i work with audio i always try to do all tracks in the best quality possible, This was one of my earlier uploads at the time i didn't pay attention to this but during the editing of this song the track peaked to high and the bass got somewhat distorted, I could do it over of course and do it better but allot of people enjoy it still.
