I know this person, and he is the most foolish person I’ve ever met. He argues online with people who have different opinions but often targets the wrong person - like me, the victim here. He even came to my workplace to cause trouble. After living in the U.S. for 30 years, he still doesn’t understand what freedom of speech is. Someone like him shouldn’t be allowed to stay in the U.S.

My great Uncles had to join the Navy in order to get a US citizenship during the WWII in the Philippines. 2 brother died fighting for America in WWII and that is why how me and my Family became US citizen. Why should someone be given a free pass. There are immigration laws for a reason. This guys had 30 years to make it legal.

He didn’t ignore it, he said he reported to ICE each time but was never deported. He also said he has tried renewing his visas. I think there is some of his story missing in this video but I hope everything works out for them.

I came to the US legally as a student, studied and worked my butt off, followed the rules and waited in line, and got my green card and citizenship. I have sympathy for Mr Zheng, but he did come here illegally.

Was the mother legal when she came to America and sponsored him when he was 17? He overstayed B2 visa. Been in America over 30 years. Received constant work visas, over the years. Where is the wife? Where is the mother? Why could he not apply for citizenship after 10 years of his arrival? Why has he not applied for citizenship since then? If any of the children or his wife are citizens can they not apply for him as sponsor for his citizenship? Something is murky. Video said he is "now married to an American." So what happened to first wife? Lawyer will need to iron out his case. But best to be prepared, just in case.

I am a legal immigrant. I started paying taxes when I was a foreign student in grad school. I wasn’t thinking about to become a U S citizen back then. Obey the law, follow the law. Everyone came here for a better life for their family. Citizenship is not granted but earned if you were not born here. However, if you entered the country illegally you have to get back in line like all the legal immigrants did. Doesn’t matter how long you have been here illegally.

Side note, both of my parents are immigrants who came to the US in the late nineties, one of them overstayed their visa and the other did illegally cross a border into the country, the difference here is that in those 25+ years my parents have been living in this country, they’ve worked hard to fix their legal situation and are now US Citizens. Just say you are too lazy to invest in your family’s stability and be done with it. Lawyers aren’t cheap, but neither is freedom.

Where is the mother? Why could he not apply for citizenship after 10 years of his arrival? Why has he not applied for citizenship since then? If any of the children or his wife are citizens can they not apply for him as sponsor for his citizenship? Something is murky. Video said he is "now married to an American." So what happened to first wife? Lawyer will need to iron out his case. But best to be prepared, just in case.

I am a legal immigrant. I started paying taxes when I was a foreign student in grad school. I wasn’t thinking about to become a U S citizen back then. Obey the law, follow the law. Everyone came here for a better life for their family. Citizenship is not granted but earned if you were not born here. However, if you entered the country illegally you have to get back in line like all the legal immigrants did. Doesn’t matter how long you have been here illegally.
