MOM HACK: use a hard glasses case to put granola bars or cereal bars in so they dont get squished & break apart while in your purse or diaper bag! I have the one that came with my glasses and can fit 2 granola bars in it.
I used to always carry a mini jar of bubbles around. When you are waiting in the car, but the air conditioning on 2 and put the bubble wand in front of it. The kids love to pop them as they go into the back seat and it helps keep them occupied while you are waiting in a drive through or a pick up lane situation.
Oh I looooooove this. You’re so tidy and stocked thoughtfully. There’s nothing better than the feeling of having what you need when you need it! I made a list for my bags based on yours!!!
I still remember your walking pharmacy video and blog post from 2014! I still have the bag from Target you showed back then and use it every now and then. 😊
Phew! I was able to get that backpack. There were only 2 left. Yay! I’m going to use mine for work where I bring a little of everything. Nothing gets me excited like a bunch of compartments, pockets and zippered ares.😆
Definitely checking out that backpack! LOVE all the compartments! That’s what I look for when getting a bag. Need to look at that wallet too. Have a great weekend and a lovely Mother’s Day!💕🌼
I love these original types of videos. Please keep it coming. I don’t have kids but I have a fur baby. I love the what’s in my bag, let’s chat, and favorites videos. Oh, and the Utah videos. I’m a longtime viewer so you are a friend in my head that gives me a pick me up when I’m feeling bummed. Love u, Jen! Thanks for sharing your life with us. It means more than u know.
This makes me realize how lucky I was when my daughter was a baby. I usually threw a diaper and wipes in my purse and maybe a bottle if it was during her mealtime. She never had any instances of requiring anything more! I think she was making up for my horrible pregnancy- hyperemesis !
I had 3 kids and I also just threw a diaper and a few wipes in a ziplock and that was it. I breast fed so no bottles. I traveled very light with my kids.
Ha! I keep my keys on the strap of my back pack too! I have my house key on one of those retractable lanyards (the one people use for work badges and such) so when I'm carrying the baby, I just reach behind me to unlock the door and let go and it just retracts back!
I LOVE the bumkins little bags for snacks... they also make little bigger ones that I use a lot in summer for changes of clothes or swimsuits at the pool, etc ... LOVE their line!!! I have had the bags for a couple years now👍👍
Nice to see we enjoy many of the same products....the blue teether is really great. Pur gum is a hit at our house and I feel better about giving it to the big kids. Aquafor is a wonder cream!! I will check out bumpkins bags! Thanks.
Just thought I’d mention.....I use and love Hurraw lip balms. Probably have 4 or 5 around my house and purse. I get mine on Amazon. My fav is the grapefruit-it has a super subtle color. Very subtle but I love how moisturizing they are without being gloppy.
Love the video Jen! I also enjoy these videos of yours as we share the same mindset of “just in case”. My diaper bag had pretty much the same items as yours except they didn’t make all the cute pouches like they do today. My daughter just got married and I’m already thinking of all the cute things I can have in my future grandchild’s bag!! 😜
ChefsWifeLife i believe jen has all those things in her car for winnie, maybe you could check out her videos on the winniethetzu channel if you like seeing doggie videos and the video on this channel about what’s in their car. Love!
I keep my keys on the outside of my bag too. It’s just convenient. I’m an Itzy Ritzy girl, but I’m going to have to check out the Disney collection at Bumpkins now. ☺️
Backpack purses are my favorite too. I use a Travelon convertible backpack / shoulder / body bag. It’s about 15”L x 10”W x 1/2”-2”D max. so, it’s not cumbersome. It has a metal mesh sandwiched between the outside fabric & inner fabric to prevent slash and dash robberies. The straps have a braided metal rope inside of it to prevent being cut off of you, they also have locking carabiners so you can lock the bag to your chair at restaurants, or to the shopping cart should you want to take it off. The zippers can lock, and it’s RFID protected with a built in wallet. I feel more secure when walking in public, not only because of robberies but, so idiots don’t put things in my bag so I set the store alarm off. 😒 There’s a smaller zippered area on the front, main w/ small inside, and slip pocket on the back where you house the other strap, that’s attached, if not in a backpack design. The fabric is a slick / textured almost thick raincoat fabric. It was only $50, and it’s my go-to. I rarely if ever use a Dooney & Bourke, Hobo, or Tignanello, as they are investment bags, and I just want to “admire” them or use on special occasions. I mean, a Target run does not require a $300-400 bag, in my world. 😂 🤷🏻♀️ 😂 ♥️
You can add water resistance or waterproofing to fabric bags or they do make handbag raincoats and some are very stylish. I have have the L.L Bean Everyday Tri-Color in Bright Navy. I currently have the large but upon realizing that I could fit what I carry in the medium size I ordered it when that colorway came back in stock and it should be arriving in five days. I can still use the large though for an overnight or carry on bag but the medium would be best for my everyday bag. The inside had a coating that made it waterproof but I had to wash it once and now water will eventually soak in so I need to re--waterproof it since we can often get soaking rain here in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Last soaking rain some got into the bottom of my bag. Not sure if I should get the Nikwax spray on kind or wash in kind though. I love the colorway since blue and green is my favorite color combination lately. Dark blue has always been my favorite color and light green to olive green reminds me of my deceased son Thomas' eye color. I love all shades of blue so the aqua pocket is also nice. I also love the long key lanyard which is located in the inner zipper pocket. The outside slip pocket fits the entry level Kindle Fire and e-reader or slightly larger ones. My travel bag as my older son Daniel is potty trained for the most part (he'll go to the bathroom but won't wipe off his butt after he poops) is a Outdoor Products camping backpack . It holds spare clothing, our chargers, wipes, and drinks. It used to hold his pull ups. I often use that when I go to the laundry mat as it's large and has many pockets. Plus it's durable. My old regular laundry bag fell apart. I fell in love with the colorway as it's mostly navy with light green accents. Also has some grey but I also like that color. The only colors I dislike are black and white.
You should message Disney World and ask if they found your baby sunglasses 😎!! We did that with my son’s favourite baseball cap. They had it and mailed it to Canada 🇨🇦!
Thanks for video. Love these. I feel inspired to re-organize my bags. As a mom of two little ones with food allergies, might I suggest not giving the kids the peanut snacks when you're in public places, just because peanut butter is so sticky and can easily get transferred from little fingers to a shopping cart, for example, where it could make its way into another child's mouth....my toddler is forever finding a way to touch unclean surfaces and then find an excuse to get his fingers in his mouth....something he doesn't do at home ironically....even before I can wipe down the cart, high chair, surface etc...
Have you tried the Aquaphor lip balm? I'm new to Aquaphor, just bought some because of you. Can you use it on cuts & scrapes? Can it replace Neosporin?
Hi Jen. Question for you. My son and daughter-in-law have a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn (today!) and wonder what double stroller you would recommend. Thanks so much!❤️
im pregnant with baby #1, and so I liked learning what you put in your bag as tips. I am confused about the diaper pad. Do you put it in a public restroom and then put it in your bag?
I've always used either the change pad on the change table or a small blanket. Yes you do have to put them back in your bag, but germs aren't really going to transfer that way. You can just wipe the change pad down with a wipe before leaving the bathroom or put the blanket in its own pocket & wash when you get home. 🤷♀️
Thank you so much for sharing. I just ordered the Freshly Picked diaper bag! I was contemplating the new Lilly Jade Anna backpack. But for right now I think the bigger bag wins.

Going back to the good old fashioned videos I love it! I love the wallet has its own section! So handy! ❤️🥰
I used to always carry a mini jar of bubbles around. When you are waiting in the car, but the air conditioning on 2 and put the bubble wand in front of it. Congratulations! 🎉 It's a wild ride, but the best one EVER 💕
I'm so excited that you've posted a what's in my bag vid. It makes me feel nostalgic.lol. @prettyneatliving
I felt very nostalgic filming this 😉
You could spray the bag with scotchgard or shoe protection to make it more waterproof
Great tip!

This is so helpful Jen! Thank you!
I found if I keep a big diaper bag in the trunk of my car I could use the small one everywhere because the emergency on in the car is always close by

How did you fold the EC bags?
Where is winnie??

Hmm, I haven't had that experience
I’ve honestly only ever noticed stores doing that when they’re in more low income/high crime areas where theft might be common.

debyrah just saying from my experience I live in a big city in a high crime area and a lot of stores do that here to prevent theft.
Can you do a potty training tips video?

You should get botox for your forehead. It's never too early to start
