As great as Ant is, I think Rudy is the team's MVP right now. He sets the tone for the whole team. He's a coach on the floor, and his effort is an inspiration to his teammates. I know he has hands of stone some times, but my god, what he did last night was maybe the best defense I've ever seen ANYONE play!! Here's hoping he can stay healthy and get some rest when he needs it.
I am a Jazz fan. You nailed it. The Jazz players basically quit playing defense because Rudy is so good. I am glad he is fitting so well with the Wolves.
Just from watching some of these breakdowns watching Rudy roam, you can see the other guys mostly hustling to their spots... that gives Rudy a higher chance to get back into position again. Can't expect to clamp down on everything, but I think opposing teams when teh Wolves are locked in defensively might have to time the Defensive 3-seconds when the center has to cleanse... that might be the only window to open up a clear driving lane.
And one of the best things is….the players we traded away probably wouldn’t even be in the rotation on this year’s Timberwolves squad. They have soooo much depth! Go wolves 🐺
These breakdowns help me understand the game better. That last Gobert play you showed I knew I was looking at something special when I saw it live, but this helps explain why
Great analysis, I was at the game last night and you’re spot on. Gobert’s energy and enthusiasm was contagious for the whole team. Minnesota fans are in love w Big Rudy!
I love that this team has a true identity to rally around. Even with Jaden and Ant out and Towns having an off game, we can buckle down and grind out a tough win. Go Wolves! 🐺 🌕
Seeing him play defense live is simply awesome. Everyone at Target Center got super into each possession the Thunder had and got louder the longer the possession got. It's incredible and reminds us all of the days of KG.
I’m so thankful for this team. We have all the pieces on offense and defense. Our bench is deep and guys are able to step up when we need it. You love to see it
nearly zero offical stats recorded and the game being effected substantially during these possessions. and Target Center crowd is noticing. Rudy got standing ovations last night and not one of the reasons will be a ESPN Top Ten clip.
Love the vids man. One thing you could think about doing to improve these break downs: maybe show that last play of Gobert shutting down Chet multiple times in real time first, then show the break down. I think it would add more impact to your video.
19 turnovers and they still won LOL okc what are yall doin.....all those missed knock downs, fouls, terrible rebounding, and sloppy ball movement. how the hell are they number 1...nba is so sad....
He is here, he is there, he is every fucking where - GOBERT!!! GOBERT!!!
🤣🤣 That works so well!
@@coletrickle1775Lets make it into a chant!
Dr Seuss but NBA
We need this chanted at target center

He is that type of player that media barely talk about in positive but every opposing coach is having nightmare about
He IS the best defensive player in the league right now, and I don't think it's very close.
Hopefully Rudy can sustain this type of play over an entire season. I also admire his intensity.
What also helps is that he has better defenders on the perimeter vs to what he had in Utah!
Wait until Jaden gets back, then the defense will really be amazing again. Another excellent video presentation Jake, thanks!!

5 players & picks for Gobert!?!?
Anytime all day baby!

I'll only say this wheny they make a deep run/win it all
Funny to see how people were laughing at the wolves for the same reason one year ago 😉 Go wolves 😊

Thank you man. I’m just trying to slow things down and really educate myself while broadcasting it on here. I’m happy it’s helping others too.
This was a great game to be at. Watching the wolves close out on open shooters in the second half allowed this team to win! Great game, Wolves!

people don't realize...rudy is the player general of that def. you watch him... he directs the def and talks/motions about it.
100% DPOY

Rudy took it personal they said during the game 😂 he was on 🔥
Une Défense a la Française 🇨🇵 Aller Rudy !!
Just wait till Jaden gets back. Best defensive duo in the league
RUDYYYYY THAT BATTERY OF ENERGY THAT FUEL THAT INTENSITY THAT GAS LETS GOOOOO🔥

I owe Rudy an apology! I love him!

Thanks man. I think that’s a good idea as well. Appreciate it.
The play on Giddey was insane, Rudy is locked in this year
Rudy's a f'n problem for everybody on the other teams right now. Hope he can keep it up for the length of a season.
You have a good UA-cam channel.
DPOY!
My favorite youtube channel
My favorite player
Thanks!
Whatever happen to the rule where you can’t stand in the paint for a long time without guarding someone
Holy shit this is good
Nice video.
Defensive octopus
The best part is he will be better and better as his teammates mature defensively. Still a long way to go but this team has tough matchups everywhere.
Why do people think KAT had a terrible game? He literally didnt lmao
If you don’t mind me asking what is your premier league team?
how do you say "Seatbelt" in french? asking for Ant.

check out Ausar Thompson for defensive plays. Way more impactful than Gobert.
Is it really creating an impact if your team is 2-15?
