I was always at the top of my class, but was mostly ignored (or disliked). I realized in my teens that "harmonizing" - with people, with concepts - was of paramount importance to me. I started as a biology/pre-med major, but quickly found the atomistic, anti-holistic, basis for the inherently artificial (to foster use of patented-for-profit pharmaceutical products) allopathic medical paradigm increasingly limited and disturbing. Ironically (or appropriately, perhaps) that model failed me, I dropped out, and nearly died from lifelong malnutrition (though I had never used drugs, and had never been drunk). I then began a study of nutrition and herbology. I also served in lay ministry in two denominations, before and after my near death. I am an autodidact in various other fields as well, but have no degrees. I eventually discovered the MBTI long ago (via David Keirsey), and scored INTJ three times (100% NT all three times). I recently returned to this personality typology on UA-cam, and have watched numerous videos on this type. All have been more or less applicable, but this is the first one that fully addresses key core aspects of my personality and experience. (It is also my introduction to the sub-types, so I have much to learn.) I was often put in modest positions of leadership in various jobs, due to my intelligence, honesty, and reliability, but I was too weird ("You're not normal!") for advanced promotions. I typically lost favor when I refused to do something unethical (if not statutorily illegal). I have become increasingly reclusive, and now focus on writing a science-fiction series, and composing a variety of choral compositions. My only close remaining friend is an INFP. Neither intelligence nor integrity is as valued in society at large as many profess. Thank you for this video: At least now I know why I am an "odd duck". (I put an INTJ female in my nascent novel. When she is told she is an "odd duck", she replies, "Duck. Class Aves. Order Anseriformes. Water fowl. Do we have those on [their planet]?" So, yeah, I get it.
I really relate to your disillusionment with the allopathic medical model. I was a registered nurse in my youth, left to have a family, and over the ensuing years the scales fell from my eyes. If I were to go back into healthcare, it would definitely be in an alternative field that takes the complexity of the human condition into account and isn't corrupted like modern medicine is. Also glad to have an explanation for being such an "odd duck," particularly why I go non-reactive in many social situations. Having an INTP (husband), ENFP (oldest daughter), and INFJ (friend) in my life has saved my mental health. I'm glad you have your INFP friend and hope you find other like-minded people if you're feeling isolated.
These careers that are listed are some of the things I studied in college. I studied Politics an emphasis on language and culture mostly Spanish and French. I love to watch social activism on UA-cam and took classes on cultural anthropology.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. - Joel
After watching all the lectures with dr Dario and all intj descriptions, I realized I’m a harmonizing INTJ
I think this is my subtype. I am a mother also and a feminine INTJ variant.
