I don't really have any advice on face powder shades as I pretty much always use Translucent. I don't personally like to use anything too tinted. I always think just matching your skin is the best way to go when using a tinted powder.
If you wanted to do a little natural contour that would be totally fine; I was just trying to stick to what the average woman would have been doing at the time.

I remember my grandmother used vaseline as lipgloss, interesting video, I loved learning all the little tidbits about the history of the makeup!
