The saxophonist nailed the solo! Nearly played like the original version...while competently AND completley performing it with feeling and personal ownership. Great cover of a beautiful song.
Better than . . . .
I didn't think The back up singer girls didnt quite the saprano pitch as originals but the song has always been one of my very favorites.
just like the lyrics of the song, he plays just what he feels
Everyone but the lead singer nailed it. Shit he was crap. I sing first tenor and I would be ashamed of such a performance.
Donald and the late Walter Becker would be proud! Excellent job guys! Keep doing what your doing .
It is great how Steely Dan brings people together across the generations. A bunch of guys who liked Steely Dan back in the days and two grand daughters to back up the vocals.
All musicians and singers nailed this awesome performance of one of the great Steely Dan songs. Kudos to the excellent bass guitarist
bass guitar was awesome...

Best Steely Dan tribute band I’ve ever heard. Respect to the drummer who nailed the drum part. All the musicians onstage did a hell of a job,
i clicked on this with skepticism about how well someone could do a cover, definitely a really good take on it. he absolutely nailed those sax solos
The sax player has fantastic feel to his playing
I agree. Solid. He takes Pete Christlieb's solo and makes it his own.
He just plays what he feels
yep
Sax player is playing .just what he feels
Agreed. I like how he fattened it up a bit by broadening some of the notes. Super tone, too.
The ladies vocals are on point! And that horn section is delicious, so is the guitarist. The entire group is lovely! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
on point 😂
@@spacejockey4746 And don't forget their vocals are delicious! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

The camera man was impressed with the backup singers too! The were practically the only ones who got closeups. Great band and an awesome cover!
We're so lucky here in San Diego that have this band perform for us.. thank you Hank and the whole band..
The backup girls are great
ALL the subtle nuances as sonically pertein to the song have been captured.
Can you imagine all the art to actually create the song. Thank You Steely Dan and Thanks to this Band for this Superb Cover!!
♥️
Well said. This is ambitious. And very well executed
Wow, that sax solo! Nailed it! Talented musicians!
Steely Dan ...Not the Easiest music to play live. Well Done.
I agree. It takes a lot of people to do a Steely Dan song justice. I counted 12 people on stage, well done.
An obviously to sing.
That's an understatement, Kevin.
I’m on my ass !!!!…. Whaoooouu absolutely amazing cover !!!… amazing band !!! Amazing background vocal.
Perfect.
Many many thanks
Laurent from France
The band is great and the young ladies are fantastic! Great vocals!
The girl on the far-right is Hanks daughter. The lead guitarist extraordinaire... He must feel so proud I know I would.
Hands down an outstanding achievement. All praise to your insight and hard work. Thank You Steely Damned!
Bravo to the background girls also!!!
Simply beautiful and stellar. Donald and Walter would be so proud! Love the look and sound of the ES 335 guitar the lead singer plays.
Those backup singers! Dang wow!
So much work went into this. Thank you so much. Wonderful job.
The sax, the bass, the band! Amazing.
Very obvious that these guys love what their doing as it shows up in the performance of another wonderful Steel Dan tune. Also want to offer a special shout out to the backup singers. They stayed perfectly in their lane for this song.
Your backup singers knock it out of the park , great harmony ! You’re Fantastic
They Call Me What ?
Loved it. Very Impressive band.
You guys are fantastic. Steely Dan rules jazz/rock, and you guys do it with such class.
Holy crap! This was got dam awesome! Hands down one of the best covers of any song I have every heard! And the brass section, fellas you killed it. Hell, everyone killed it. One of my favorite Steely Dan songs off my favorite album and you guys and gals rocked it!
I agree this is the best cover of this song I've ever heard. The sax player is godzilla on it the backup....kudos. this was amazing
Simply.......WOW!!! Amazing 💪🏼
Wow they are absolutely amazing…so tight! Could listen all day.
Look at those girls... All stiff and nervous and yet incredible harmony. Like a great, fresh pair of strings Just great!!!
One of them is Hank's (lead guitar) daughter. Not sure which one.
So I've been told. I was emailing with Ruby(Etoile) about them.@@bfogelstrom
Spectacular cover!!! All vocals, backup instrumentation, solos on point and brought with the enthusiasm this song calls for!!! Congratulations to this band for being able to pull it off!!!
Saw them live in 93. Was the best $5 I ever spent.
I’m loving that bass.
That's a Great! tribute band. They nailed it! Playing live is not easy with that many musicians on stage at once. Hell I would pay to see them. For those who have negative comments or thumbs down I have something to say to you. Get a life! that's real talent in harmony 💯!
Ignore the Trolls, sometimes they are AI generated. It's crazy but true.
Great performance of really great music. I can't believe all the critics here, they probably can't sing or play and no doubt clap on 1 and 3.
Totally agree, to hell with the critics!
What do the critics know anyway. They're just rude to everyone involved in this superb performance.
I've been listening to these tunes since they were released, play multiple instruments and was heavily involved in production and without a DOUBT, this is one of the best tribute bands I've EVER heard...
They not only absolutely nail the orchestration and arrangements, they capture the uber-hipster vibe of Walter and Donald perfectly!
Well done!!!
EXCELLENT. I love the Jazz/rock genre especially Steely Dan. You guys stay right there. You're performances of Steely Dan are awesome. Stay Jazz/Rock cool.
Five star, best ever. Unreal accuracy and precision.Fantastic
WOW !!! My favorite Steely Dan song & they do it justice.
Very nice Hank Easton ! Don't you love it when people think they are instructing you how to play your music ? If they don't like it why are they telling how to sing ? Who needs critics ?
Absolutely incredible delicious song and Melody! Masterpiece!!
Superb instrumental work on this, especially Tripp Sprague on the sax solo. The harmonies from the ladies are spot on, too.
This is superb!!! Very well played and sung. And the sax solos are awesome, I think it's Tripp Sprague soloing (I know him from the Peter Sprague bands). Steely Dan is my ever favorite band. Greetings from Portugal.
Wow, just WoW. That was perfect.
Damn these guys just make me appreciate how good the original group was, light years ahead of their time. These guys are so professionally sound.
Lead and backing vocals are so, so good, and the tenor solo does Pete Christlieb very proud indeed. Met Pete one summer at Gresham, Oregon's Mt. Hood Jazz Festival and he graciously signed my "Aja" album jacket.
the vocals sank the whole thing man. band itself is great, but the vocals are so weak here.
A great rendition of a classic.... backup singers supremo.....lead vocalist, not so much, still a quality performance....
April 17' 2020 still enjoying you guys and girls
Bravo. The best I’ve ever heard. Absolutely amazing!
Wow I have seen Steely Dan dozens of times most times when the Dans play that Ichonic number the Alto Sax misses the mark. Your Sax man brought it, owned it and nailed like Wayne Shorter layed it down for the album Aja! Kudos to you ladies and gents not shabby you made this Dan fan smile from ear to ear, Kudos!
just playing the music of Steely Dan, adds tothe quality of life. Well done,,
Absolutely unreal, you guys should be proud!! I would gladly pay big money to see you. Donald and Walter would be proud !
Sensacional!!! Mandaram bem demais, especialmente o último solo de saxofone, onde ele desenvolve uma linda e criativa linha melódica. Parabéns ao grupo, que soube homenagear o Steely Dan em grande estilo, solucionando o término da música até melhor do que no Aja!
That was great! Thanks for posting!
Too good! Fantastic!!
Amazing, moving , a great performance.
My favourite track and when I used to be a chauffeur I drove the band Deacon Blue who took their name from this track. Absolutely awesome track !
Literally perfect
Wow...just...WOW!
The very best Steely Dan outtake ever. Thank you very very much.
That cat with the axe is playing just what he feels. Hope he doesn't die behind the wheel
Love this Band
Nice tenor solo!
Excellent horns & winds ! Grumpy and growling - just what the writers wanted !
This is perfection. Thx
Everybody is GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Driving late at night early morning headed home listening to this song.. great memories
Beautiful!!!!!
Lovely saxophone solo!
Absolutely beautiful bravo thank you
🎵 These people are great 👍
Awesome, nailed it, my favorite steely song
Loved it. Had to hear it again. As an old drummer loved the "wet slap" tone of Larry Grano's snare.
Absolutely wonderful!
Simply SUPERB. Love it.
Excellent band. I’d REALLY like to hear the lead singer phrasing as Fagen does, which he does not. No one can sound like Fagen, but the phrasing can be accomplished.
Yep. Agree. He's just putting it down rather than getting it. Even the tempo of this cover is stiff and the drummer is tossing salad. Not wanting to shoot them down. They're all good players and doing a great job but it's just a bit wooden in parts. By comparison check out this Chicago cover band. Superb feel. Plus they're Russian! ua-cam.com/video/6aJR_RBF23E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=LeonidVorobyev
Find the video of Bob Tedde singing this at La Bar Bat in Manhatan in 2001. Great singing and front man!!! This is good, but Bob's is better...
You should try playing Larry Carlton or Lee Ritenour guitar parts while simultaneously singing Donald Fagen's lead vocal then we can talk about your preferred nuanced phrasing.
Funny. I thought the same thing as I listen to this for the first time. He nailed the guitar.
Terrific. Just Terrific. Thanks .
This is just awesome, FANTASTIC melodies.
Steely Damned Rule.
Well Done, everybody.
This is on Forever Repeat for me.
The horn solo! Good God in heaven! Amazing
The old guys on brass are brilliant!
So sweet❤!
Great work! Fully enjoyed.
Great lead vocals and the chorus with backup
You nailed it guys...Fantastic music Steely Dan style.
Wonderful.
Steely Dan's music is very hard to play. Excellent job.
A very moving song and in- terpreted here wonderfully.
Love it! Great cover!
Great backup vocals! Everything nice, Super musical rep.
Oh soooo good. Bravo.
holy crap these guys are amazing
Wow! This was amazing.
Brilliant!
Applause! You guys really nailed it! Hope to see you live!
Omgoodness these musicians are awesome!
Beautiful......Hard music to play and sing but you all and I mean ALL nailed it.
A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Perfect!
Drummer is Fantastic
Love it ...Merry Christmas
Wow that blew me away. Musically an very fine rendition. You solo sax player was like hearing the original recording. Thank you.
Superbly done and good harmony.
What a great band ... I Love it
Love it saxophone player killed it water and Donald would be proud
sounds great!
Very nice job! Thanks.
So good, as a life long SD fan. This track is on course. Reminds me of when I heard it 1st time in E. Lancing. MI. Dec 1977
