Some really good products picked up there Anthony. I'm sure they're going to assist in the natural camping. I get what natural your speaking of. It's fully immersive for sure. And thanks for the book share. I'll be looking out for that. Welk, have a great week. All the best. Mark
Great video, have been thinking of buying these two items for a while now, you just convinced me, cheers. Keep them coming, and have a great day, thank you. 👍🙏
As I gather ...TBS design their own billy cans and then have them manufactured. This 750ml billy/pot is quite possibly the best on the market right now? (2023). Check out the video on the TBS site for a (pot) comparison and the design goals. I've just placed an order for the TBS Salamander Kit ❤...which includes the above 750ml billy. As 750ml would be "to the brim", I intend to use the billy as a 500ml kettle. The draining holes in the lid will clearly show when boiling. I have other kits (eg. MSR Alpine) for cooking, but wanted a simple setup for fresh hot drinks during day excursions. The 750ml billy will fit quite nicely over a "Trangia" burner (with cross arms), although the secondary burning (Salamander) fire stove can (it appears) be used as a wind screen for a "Trangia" type burner. As I prefer stainless bottles for water storage (in addition to any bladder setup, it is great that the TBS items can fit around such bottles. This saves space without using a flat pack stove. I normally cook with a gas stove, but who knows what future supply chain disruptions could do to the availability or affordability of cartridges ...or solid fuel stove kits? Like to be prepared to harness any fuel source!😊
I’m like a kid in a sweet shop when I go in The Bushcraft Store. Their own brand,TBS, is excellent. TBS knives are top draw as well as the Cook systems. Great helpful friendly staff too.
@@warwickshireoutdoors You're welcome. Videos like yours really help people, keep it up. I am very well, I'm out camping on 18th Nov, looking forward to that.
Thank you very much. It’s nice to hear from you. Glad you like the reviews as I do enjoy doing them and I am looking forward to doing a few more. ATB🏕👍🍻
Hi Antony great to see you back we have missed your videos. Looks like you have a nice wood to stay in and explore. I’m rubbish at identifying trees brought a pocket sized book by Collins called trees ( really good ). Look forward to you and your brother giving us some pointers. Great review on the TBS kit and love the knife too. My Christmas list is growing already : ) Thanks great video
Good video, Antony, thank you. I don’t have the TBS pot and bottle setup, but have something similar made by Pathfinder out of the US. Excellent piece of kit that has provided me with many hot beverages and soups/stews. DD tarps are excellent, if used appropriately. The hammock looks interesting and I will have to look into hammock use for next year. Nice sheath for your Casstrom sliplock. I’d be a bit concerned about the antler tip handled firesteel jabbing me in the side as a result of an awkward fall. Rhyder’s tracking book, while focused on the UK, looks to demonstrate some general principles of tracking. On a personal note, I’m hoping your back infection is responding well to treatment. Take care, get well, my friend!
Harry yes I’m making a ferry rod with a smaller handle for this one as it is a bit long and I have plenty of antler to use. I was going to saw this one but it’s the first one I made and don’t want to butcher it. The system is very much like the Pathfinder one isn’t it. Speak soon. ATB🏕👍🍻
Hi, I don’t know I’m afraid. They are based in the south of England. Here is a link to their website. www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk/ I would have thought shipping would bump up the cost but it might be worth checking. ATB🏕🍻
The TBS checkout process includes an option to specify a country. I just ordered their Salamander kit, but as I am in the UK, I didn't click to see the list of countries options. I would guess that North America would naturally be an option?
3 items I'm saving for so helped me decide this one love my sabre 45 which I bought after your review
Hi David
I’m glad you like it and really humbled by your comments. Thank you. I’m glad you like it otherwise you’d blame me😆🍻ATB

Thank you very much mate it’s great to get positive feed back. Thanks for taking your time to watch. ATB🏕👍🍻
The Chinese have made some decent kit there, I wonder how much of a premium the TBS logo adds.
Ha ha thanks mate. Well, either way it’s cool😆🏕🍻Thanks for watching.

@@gibbo573 cool. Is that local?
@@warwickshireoutdoors Yes, I live in Kent now. Not exactly the Garden of England anymore but still some good woodland.
Nice product review! Also nice pieces of gear you have. Nice forest you may use 😎
Thank you. Its still my favourite combination. Seasons greetings to you🏕🎄🍻

Excellent. Have fun with it🏕
Thanks for the review. Can you tell me the internal diameter of the pot please?
I’ll have a look. 🏕
