I see all comments about the bad experiences. I want to appreciate the bangalore cab driver who took me home safely (almost 2 hours drive) in the middle of night from the airport to extreme south. I judged him bad by his rugged looks. He wad also constantly asking questions.. When I tried to shut him off, he said that the conversations will keep him awake and aware of the road.. He drove me home safely. Thanks to all the good cabbies who needed the appreciation among the bad drivers.
The number of people actually narrating thier own experience is in comment section is very scary😳🥺😥 My heart goes out to all the women who faced such perilous situations❤

It's great that she used her presence of mind and escaped, but the video should have ended with her reporting the driver to the police and the cab company before he targets another girl. That is also an important message that everyone needs to do without hesitating.
@vijaya Practically how many times we face situation where we feel doubted, how many times we have gone for police complaint ? Do our police take complaint on basis he took me on other road then after calling dad, he changed road. Nothing wrong happened to me. Police will make you run out, why are you complaining? What has actually happened wrong?
Few tips I live by when boarding a cab late in the night: 1. Sit next to the driver seat. DO NOT sit in the back! Why? Imagine a situation where you need to get out but the childlock is engaged. What if he has an accomplice? It's so much easier to trap you from either sides if you are sitting in the back seat. Also what if there is access to the trunk and someone is already there? When you are sitting in the front you also have access to the handbrake and other car controls. Moreover, you are at an appropriate distance to inflict injuries to the culprit, if needed. 2. If you are boarding the cab and you have friends with you, ensure they take pictures of the car and the number plate. 3. Check if the driver in the app and the driver in the car are the same. 4. Call someone and tell them your arrival time and share your cab details. 5. Raise an alarm if the driver tries to take a route you do not agree with or he asks you if he can stop somewhere for refuelling or whatever. 6. Carry something sharp with you.
one of my colleagues faced a similar problem with a cab driver when she was going home after the party. realising that something was wrong, she jumped out of the car and ran like anything. she got bruises and was crying on the phone while talking to me. thankfully, she escaped. women safety at night is a major concern and cab companies should never take it lightly.
One important thing that you missed here is that we should also report such incident to police/ the app through which you booked the cab, so that the cab drivers would be watched again. Ensure no such things happen in future to other people as well.
@@whateverboss2272 I live in India. I said you need to report it to the cab agency or the app through which you booked the cab. They could do something atleast.
@@whateverboss2272 if you are making this statement i can assure you dont live in india this is fake number. Its definitely not 50% but less than that. But it is still very depressing.
@@koumei1709 every 14 mins a girl get raped* watch the DNA report. And let’s be honest not all rape cases are been reported due to family reputation and also not all them will be recorded! It’s a shame if the government is too busy making their pockets full then good luck to the public. There should be a strict rule anyone rape hanged to death no excuse or anything else - then we will see who will dare to do that! But again it’s India nothing like that will ever happen!
Around 17 years ago my cousin faced a same issue with an auto driver. She was a school girl. What she could only do was jump out of the auto. Moral of the story is that Presence of mind is the key to all problems.
Same !! I experienced exactly same with a auto driver only🥺 I was seating ahead so I forcefully distracted him and slowed the auto and jumped out but unfortunately I was badly hurt !! 🙃🙃
The same incident happened to me and my 2 daughters in the last month.. I booked a cab since it was quite late, the driver suddenly took a wrong turn and went inside a shady lane which was deserted... i arrogantly asked him why he took this turn and he said it was a mistake.. i asked him to move out immediately..he moved out and once again took another turn.. this scared me and I called my husband immediately and told him about the incident, I also told my husband to followi my live location.. i asked the driver to turn to the main road again. he may have understood my conversation and hence I was dropped home safely.. i mailed the cab company and asked for a call back, but they simply said sorry and said no call backs can be made for this issue. This video is an eye opener. Thank you Rohit and team for this video.

I see the comment section has everyone sharing their experiences. It's truly terrifying how many people have faced similar cab/auto situations. I'll share a story from my college days. It was the summer break after first year in college in Bangalore. That's the first time I was traveling to airport. There are two ways to the airport, with toll and toll free. The driver took a toll free route and I was instantly scared. Didn't know kannada so started mock calling my father in english. After a few minutes the driver turned around and with an amused expression, told me not to worry and to look behind and infront of our car, there were other ola/Uber that's going to the airport in the same way. And it was true, there were considerable number of cars behind us, also one infront of us. Not that it helped my situation, because I don't know if they have real passengers or not. Anyway we safely reached the airport and the other cars were infact airport passengers. The driver told me that he too has a daughter and fully understood what was going on, so he had tried to reassure me. On asking what it was that gave me away, he said that no one will speak to their family in full articulated english.
I faced a similar situation in 2020 at Chennai. My sister booked a cab on my behalf. I boarded the cab around 8.30 PM. It was a 20 mins travel to the destination. The cab driver was on a conference call with some of his friends and they were discussing about some trips in Tamil. Amidst the conversation he mentioned a statement ‘oga pilla dhaan undhi’ it means ‘there is a girl around’ in telugu. The moment he said that, I realized he was mentioning me. Although I panicked, I dint make it obvious for him to figure out. I called up my sister and mentioned that ‘i don’t feel safe and please stay on call and if anything please be ready to hit the SOS button’. The moment I said that, he dropped off his phone call and without uttering a word he dropped me off and left even before I gave him the cash. This incident gives me chills even if I think about it now. What if I hadn’t understood the language. What if my phone was dead. What if those guys boarded on to the cab somewhere in the middle of the travel as a gang. Can’t imagine !
@Rangavallika it’s a feature on Ola/Uber ma. Upon selecting the nearby police station will be alerted and they will get you in less than 2 - 5 mins. Not sure, if that actually works as expected in India !
Lovely video. Even I share all my cab details and live location when I am travelling by cab. I always call my parents and husband and talk to them in a language which is easily understood by the cab driver
As a male it's so hard to even think about this situation because i haven't faced anything like that. And i feel really ashamed as a male that women have to face such a issues till now. Sorry and respect
I and my friend faced a similar situation in 2005 when we were in 12th standard, the only shop we cud see in that lane is a small toys shop , we panicked at first and then tricked the driver by asking him to stop at shop to buy a small toy and come back again , the auto driver waited for an hour and came inside to see us , we said we are not coming and there were only 2 aunties in that shop , they understood the matter and we reached our respective homes by calling our father with their help and left shaken .
"I asked my brother in the morning about what time did he reach home after his night out and who dropped him off. he said it was around 4am and his friend booked an uber for him bc he was in a hangover. I asked him why did he not call me, i could have picked him up. he replied that he was too drunk to be aware of everything happening around and even slept the whole time during his ride home." my family doesn't ever allows me to book an uber/ola, they send the driver and ask him to wait just outside even if he has to for the whole day but, boys are literally so safer outside that they won't even think twice before getting into some taxi and on the other hand, we are in such a bad mental space, one step away from an anxiety attack, too conscious during the ride. we send our location every single time we get into a cab with those disturbing 'what if..?' thoughts in our minds. can't see those days coming when we dont have to worry about all that stuff anymore.
Exactly! Why is our situation like we've to be worrying and making all those precautions like sharing live location, taking a pic etc.. ? Won't a day come when girls can travel in cab or stay in a hotel without any hesitation or fear just like a normal human being?! 😔
It's totally women's fault because women don't want to become cab drivers and make you all comfortable travelling with female drivers. More than 99% of the drivers in India are men, why is that, who is stopping women from being drivers?
Sharing an incident that happened on the night of 20th Jan this year. .I live in Singapore and had booked a flight for my new helper from Delhi to Mumbai and Mumbai to Singapore ..She is originally from Punjab but can speak hindi..So when she reached Mumbai Airport we realised that she wasn't carrying an important document (Vaccinated Travel Pass )without which she couldn't board the connecting flight from Mumbai to Singapore..:( And so some airport authorities in Mumbai Airport told her that she wouldn't be allowed to wait at the airport if she doesn't have another flight booked and advised her to take a taxi at 4am in the morning to some nearby hotel.I was in the meanwhile trying to book another flight for her and I presumed it would be safe for her to board a paid taxi from the airport..The moment she stepped out of the airport she was approached by a tall, dark guy asking her where she intended to go .She asked him to drop her at a nearby hotel to which he agreed initially ,and then t he put her luggage at the back seat and asked her to sit next to him !! On the way he started asking her weird questions like," Have you ever had any operation? " And is she happy in her marriage ..And that he was not happy in his marriage !!:/ She knew that she had boarded the wrong cab the moment she noticed him taking a route that had no vehicles , not even a dog on the street..They reached a shoddy house around 4:30 am ..When they reached there two more men came out of the house and took her luggage in and asked her to stay there. She hated that place and she had asked the driver multiple times to drop her another hotel but he was adamant and left her there..She had no choice but to stay there..She didn't know how to turn the location on on her phone..She locked her roomed from the inside when one of the men knocked on her door to ask her if she wants to turn the AC on ..They even asked her to remove her pull over when they were assisting her with her luggage..telling her, " madam Garmi hai bohot, sweater utaar do" !! The taxi driver had left the scene telling her to stay there for 2 days !! He certainly had some big plans..But my helper , after staying in that room for about 3 and half hours opened the room and insisted on leaving that place yo which they objected and didn't allow her to take her luggage..She happened to spot another taxi driver at a short distance from that house and called out to him..He came and asked them to return her luggage but they charged her extra money and gave her luggage back..It was around 8am I'm the morning and she spotted a few other people there..She reached the airport and boarded another flight that day but right before the boarding the taxi driver started calling her and called atleast 20 times since he was expecting he rto stay in that house for atleast 2 days and I'm quite sure he had some big plans..Btw 2 of the windows at the backseat were completely broken according to my helper and she was totally shaken after that incident..she knew that she could have possibly been killed/raped that night..I can't believe these kind of taxi drivers are allowed to trick passengers right outside an international airport!!??
@Julia Creations i completely agree!! Hats off to the lady traveling for the courage. But At least the other one could have talked and explained the problem to the authorities at airport..damn sure they could have helped! Sometime it happened with me too..due to recently changed policy of airline ..i missed boarding my flight and was told to check-in in some hotel and take other flight next morning without any refund .. i decided to not go out and talked to officials...after some time they understood my problem and helped me adjust in next fully occupied flight and i safely reached although at very late night!! Gratitude universe 🙏 Point is sometimes calmly we have to look for reasonable resource for help.
Nice video, this needs to be shared across all friends and family. This doesn’t just apply to ladies but even for men and also irrespective of time. I had a similar experience when I was in Delhi for the first time, my flight was delayed and I had to pick up cab to went to my hotel in the night. My driver irritated me to the core and was showing signs to rob me. I was checking all the areas from airport to my hotel in a map and gave an impression to driver that I am on call with my friend explaining him what area I am in, how’s the traffic and what area is famous for what etc. And it worked really well. Sometimes it takes time to come out of shock when we sense something bad is happening, but we must console ourselves, gather strength and confidence and act Smartly.

First of all some1 with having more night shifts or jobs or travels mostly at night should have phone with long battery withstanding feature. She should carry like pepper spray and Knife with her. If the driver doesnt go in right way. She can threaten him from the back seat with the knife. And if things go wrong she can even kill him and escape. Its either him or her. She can choose herself.

My wife used to say when she is all alone in some cab she keeps on speaking to their parents all through the ride and giving constant updates about the location. I never understand this logic but rogue drivers are afraid of it, i guess
What another tip could be here: always sit at the back seat of driver so that his throat can be held tightly until he stops the car Or gets on the right path again. Stay safe and alert, ladies!

Same thing happened to me n my amma. Auto driver took us in a different route. I made a call to my brother and both amma and me started arguing in a loud voice with each other and made a scene ,just got off and started walking towards the nearest apartment. It was definitely God's grace that nothing happened.
This happened to me too, all I could do was jump out of the cab even after constantly telling the driver that he took the wrong turn he wouldn't comply. Thankfully there was another cab near and the driver was very understanding of my situation and took me to the right location.
Happened to me at day time . I needed to pick up my lehenga for my wedding from Hauz khas . It was raining that day . Booked an Ola . I was in hurry so while getting inside I didn’t notice that driver was drunk . He started making rounds on green park, aiims & Safdarjung road . I was locked inside . It was raining cats & Dogs . I kept on asking him to stop he acted as if he is deaf. I finally put my handbag’s strap around his neck & threatened to strangle him . He slowed down a little . Luckily I police van was passing through they saw me agitated . Stopped car , arrested him there only . My designer was kind enough to come & pick me up , arranged a drop for airport . Ola sacked him but the case is still on , that person is out on bail . But I ll make sure that he get sentenced legally . Worst nightmare that too 20 days before my wedding . Luckily I have a supportive husband & father . Since then when can arrives I take good 2 minutes to assess or smell , share journey details, click a pic of cab . Few object , but my security supersedes above that .

I was always safe in Germany. But since 2015 many things happens here. The last time I was very late outside alone, a Cab Driver followed me through the streets in the middle of the City. Sharing live location and trip details should definitely be done but what about the mental state of a woman for that duration while she's in the cab. It's really unimaginable.

Amazing.. I too always share my ride details with my husband. In today's time, we can't predict what could happen.... But, I wonder if that locality doesn't have network.. How he himself was getting calls.. Nevertheless, lovely message to women.. Presence of mind is important but best is to share the ride details.. Do it ladies!!
I have been in a similar situation although it was not in cab. But two of the men started following me and there was no one near by to whom I could ask help. I was walking and unfortunately even I forgot to recharge my number. Initially, I was worried but I thought that I can't deal with situation if I panic. So, I pretended I am talking to my brother who is near by and coming to pick me and luckily this worked. Being a girl, I can understand how terrible it feels to be in such situation but all I want to say is that do not panic and try to smartly deal with the situation. Always remember, safety comes first. Also, I use cabs regularly so I definitely want to thank all the good cab drivers who have safely dropped me to my locations and some of them were sweet enough to ensure that if I am travelling late in night, I am comfortable.

Very smart move. That lady just saved herself from having God only knows what happen to her. I don't even want to think about what that man had planned for her.
Girls be aware of your surroundings , always give details of your cab to your friends and family , also say it in a manner where they also know that their details are with your family 👍
Be vigilant whilst taking cabs, share your location immediately and try snapping a pic of the registration number before getting in, whilst driving turn off the sound of your camera and snap a pic of the cab driver, even if its just the side of his face. Try to remember landmarks, like shop names road names, buildings etc. Share it with family and friends on social media, make them aware that you feel uncomfortable with your cab driver. Carry pepper spray or a tazer. May Allah grant us safety wherever we are, Aameen. Human trafficking is real and we need to try extremely hard to protect ourselves from the predators out there.
One most important thing could be, if you find the driver suspicious, let the driver know that you are clicking a picture of him, so that he thinks twice, fake calls to family members are best in this situation, would make the person awake that your family members are informed. Even you can fake say that i have sent you the picture of the driver, incase of emergency. Also try to click the picture of the cab number, auto number beforehand, so the driver doesn't think of any mishap
Damn!!! I would like to thanks to this entire team this video so helpful for all the girls and working women who takes Cab and all. Thank you very much 😭❤️
You should always check the child lock before getting into the cab and sit behind the driver to make you more safer and to get control in your hand. While driving driver cannot attack you or touch you if you sit behind him and not across him.
This is unfortunate that even till this date, girls constantly are being harrassed not only by cab drivers, but by men generally. This cannot be changed, maybe laws can be put in place for this to not happen to anyone. Girls need respect, not harrasment, thank you.

similar situation happened with me, not with cab though, I was dropped off at delhi in 5 in the morning by a bus in winters, and the location was 1.5km away from main bus and metro station, so i started walking towards the station, the road was dark and secluded, felt someone following, I panicked and started walking fast, then a auto driver came and ask where to drop, I had one choice to trust auto driver or continue with the same path, I went with auto driver, he noticed my anxiousness and calmed me down telling me where to stay in metro station till gates opened and every, I was lucky that he was a good guy!
The cab app should include in built safety features for women that can be optionally selected by the rider while booking the ride. For ex. a Live location record of the route sent to her pre chosen contacts. Which is captured by the main server through the cab drivers app. when the female user selects this option while booking the ride. This way her phones on status or battery status can be immaterial as the cab drivers live location will be monitored and kept as a record. Additionally, the app should include atleast 3 mandatory video calls as part of this women safety feature such that the main app server women safety cell makes a video call with the passenger through the drivers app to confirm if their situation is okay. Also the terms and conditions of the contract with the driver should include adherence to keeping his phone on and location accessible at all times, failing which a red flag raused and immediate disciplinary action as part of suspicion flagged. Finally these extra safety option should be made mandatory by the central govt. (Provided as an added value extra cost feature by all cab firms) in all cab/taxi apps so that women can immedistely use this feature for their own safety and protection. Furthermore all cabs should be provided with a safety button that a female passenger can press to get immediate action/video call from.the taxi women safety cell. Such features will discourage unscrupulous drivers from enrolling with the cab service. . Until the above initiatives become available as a standard feature, women can become acquainted with and use the emergency safety feature available on every android os (most current os) smart phone, which once programmed with your predetermined emergency contacts can be easily activated using a volume key combination press on the phone easily and discreetly. It will periodically send the phone location, sound and take photos silently using the camera as a distress message automatically to the predetermined contacts. Anyone with a suitably current android can utilise this feature which will instantly send evidence to the predetermined contacts to trap the culprits in any hostile scenario.

Everytime I take an auto or cab, I always share the details with my parents so that they can track my live location. Plus, I ensure that my phone has enough charge when I book an auto or cab
Once I had got stuck in same situation with my friends but We managed to escape from the situation. I remembered that scary moment after watching your video.
Great, she felt relieved after the guy dropped her. But ideally she should've noted down the cab number and informed police about the cab or given them a hint about whats wrong with this cab driver.

Excellent...I also share cab details to my husband n brother whenever I book a cab...I think everyone should do this. I think not only girls but also old age peoples traveling alone must share the details with their family member.
@Mithilesh M If only govt of India thought about public/women's safety this much India would become a better country to live in...its sad when me nd my friends tell each other how unsafe and double standard society we live in
@Mithilesh M isn't it already a rule? here in hyderabad every auto has a identification plate, where driver info like name number and auto number is written along with a qr code
I'm really Thankful that I've not been in such a situation. Mumbai feels much safer. I wish more women would feel safe travelling around in their own city. .
I want to share my experience that similiar to this. I once order a car at 11pm and ride it alone. When i got inside and the car was already moving the driver said "sorry ma'am my friend is taking a free ride behind because he is sleepy". Yes its a seven seater car. Yes i sit at the center part of the car. And yes when i turned around, there is someone behind me. Then i tell the person to move to the front to sit beside the driver since "they are friends and it would be more convenient" but he declined, saying he was sleepy and wants to sleep at the back. I was so scared that if i annoyed them or if i looked scared that i realized something was not right or asked them to stop the car, they will attacked me (since it was going to be easy attacking someone from behind) so i stay silenced. Thank GOD i bring my power bank so i can keep my phone active. I immediately share the driver detail from the app to my friends and sending live location to whatsapp groupchat. Then I got an idea to call my friend and pretend that someone was in an accident (yes i was acting as histeric as possible while yelling and stuff lol) so that the driver will be surprised and caught off guard. And then i tell him immediately to stop the car in the middle of the street because my friend was in an accident and i want to go back. At first he offered to take me there but i refused and said that i was going to order motorcycle taxi to get there because it will be faster. And then after i got off the car i called my friend immediately to pick me up and take home (thank god it was near my friend's house and he available). Moral of the story: 1. ALWAYS check the back of the seat to see if there is someone. If it's dark then turn the light for a bit to check. 2. If there is someone else in the car (no matter if it was in the front, middle, or the back) no matter the reason of the driver is, DON'T TAKE THE RIDE. 3. Always bring a charged power bank everywhere!! 4. Always bring something that contains alcohol like perfume or sanitizer (thank god we bring it everywhere nowadays). A taxi driver once told me as women this is the least that we should always bring in case something happen, spray it to their eyes. Stay safe guys!!
For close to 2 years now mobile companies due to government regulations probably have made it difficult to make urgent calls. Whenever you make a call they force you to hear covid guidelines for a minute. This irritating stuff is going on blindly.
I Hate that Women have to go through this sort of nonsense. A Woman should be able to go anywhere without someone trying to take advantage of them. I am so very glad that this Woman was able to escape from this cab driver evil plan to abduct her.
True and sad. On the contrary, this is turning upside down since a few years, especially with all the women falsely accusing men and thus making it hard for the actual women who are victims.
Took a cab from the train station in Delhi a few years back early in the morning....he took some weird route saying traffic Kam milega...i pretended to talk to my husband on the Phone saying I've sent a pic of the licence plate . On reaching my destination i realised that I couldn't open the windows or the two doors at the back where I was sitting. I was horrified ....got out and told him I'm going to report him to the police as he isn't fit to run a cab ....i regret that I didn't report him. This is just to tell everyone to check for the doors before sitting in an unknown vehicle.
This video is such a great move. Even I do the same after my father told me this trick. Plus I want to tell a bonus tip told by my father what I am also doing since 5 years I take a pic of a cab or auto driver by telling them frankly that this merely for my safety (Get alert if he gets very irked by this move) and send it immediately to my father along with the cab no. and live location and also act like all the details are received by my parents (Even if it's not sent) before starting my journey. I also talk to someone about the same along my journey or act to do so. These steps will get your driver a check that his information has been sent to someone along with his photo so he will have to drop you safely even he doesn't want to. Lastly have a safe and happy journey.
What a tactics applied by this lady... great...but most of the time this kind of tactics don't act...so, it is better to keep your mobile phone full charge sharing the live location is important if anything suspicious... Anyway nice informative video
I just shocked more than the video people's comments 'happened to me' and it's filled the comment section this my first time seeing reality across cinema and video's it's hits me hard
I used ola bikes for long distance travel, as it is pocket friendly. Today itself, driver took a short cut, and my panic was unimaginable, my fingers were to dial police. He did told me before he us going to take short cut, but the shady road had me. Thankfully I reach home safely, and I realised I could be wrong, I should have been more firm and strictly told the driver to take usual road. Edit : I do not take ride at midnight, it was 2 pm in the afternoon, proper traffic on road. I will not accept, that I will blamed for using a cost saving method. You all need to have a little bit of sense of empathy and put yourself in others shoes before commenting anything. P.S : read the comment section, people has faced same situation, while they take 'other safer options for travelling'. So the cause of this issue, is some where else.
The comment section is so disappointing. I don't know how people here not realising, but the financial situation of not everyone is not good, are we forgetting, we are living amid pandemic and it has created a lot financial issues. can we admit how expensive it is to take cabs? Infact ola bikes rides are costly to me, but it saves my time. In the video itself, it is shown, even cabs are not safe for women, late at night. This is so sad how victims get blame. The sad reality is, if a man start treating woman as a human being and treat them with respect and not the object of lust, such incidents won't happen. We are not save from our own kind.
Each of them should see and actually learn from this video.. I get to understand so many things from your videos.. It's encouraging for girls, we are learning to protect ourselves we are learning to fight back and say NO to things we don't like or don't want.. Remember girls are not weak it's just the society saying talking nonsense.. Fight back and learn to say NO to things you don't like..✨️
Even after being a Male, I felt damn insecure and threatened. I wish that no lady in this world has to ever go through such a situation. And remember guys, *a girl in need, is a responsibility and not an opportunity.*
Fear paralyse. Our sister, cousin are staying away for job and study. I have the habit of worrying. It creates panic attack in me. World is unsafe. You are helpless. Staying miles away. I have found my solution. I pray daily for cousins, my frnds' s safety. Whenever fear strike I just imagine every one is safe under the refuge of Maa Durga. I can't be anywhere. But she is....It calm down the mind. May Maa Durga protect each and everyone. No just females, but even males..In today' s world, anything bad can happen to anyone. Along with our sisters, our brothers may also remain safe and secure. God bless everyone...
Being a man, It makes me feel that the problem is not in the girls, The problem is in ourselves. We should not see girls as a tool to satisfy or do something wrong with her. We should treat her as goddess 🙏 I too have a sister. I will share with her too. This video will help many girls. And To all the woman Sorry and respect 😭🙏 I promise i will never think of doing such things and i promise that if i see something happeneing like this i will stop and i will fight against it 🙏
Thank you Rohit. Good tactical move. Presence of mind is the key. Panic only makes you an easy target. Pepper spray should be used without delay to alert the police. Of course, before boarding a cab, ensure the phone battery is charged. 👍
@Edward Newson jr Why drag God ? We make systems for our convenience. Many a time they are deceptive. Continual improvements are desirable. Then, the same driver in the daytime is timid, when darkness run deep, he becomes a wolf. The legendary Dracula was oozing with evil energy during nights only.
This was really a good one..!! But I wonder when will the day come when girls don't have to be concerned about their safety while being alone at odd hours, and can travel carefree.. Knowing how to protect ourselves is definitely good, but being surrounded by a constant fear that anything untoward may happen..is really not done 😔😣
The solution to travel safely at night is that there should also be woman cab drivers as wel in the city..we should have an option to chose the gender of driver
If the law..gets updated, such that every rapist or molester is given a minimum of life sentence as a punishment. Then they'll dare to play such filthy acts. Hope..feminists don't take advantage of it.. it's just turning toxic.
Actually... I too felt that I faced such a situation once... I was living in Delhi with my elder sister... one day, at nearly 4 in the evening, when I was coming back from my classes, no cabs & autos were available to my location( that was terrifying in itself) except one auto... the driver was a young boy & I had no other option than to get into the auto. It had always been a ritual for me to keep my mum or sister or dad updated about my whereabouts but that day none were taking my calls & I could see that the driver was constantly noticing me and driving really rashly.... the amount of fear that I felt that day is still inexplicable. But then,I pretended as if I'm talking to my dad that I'm coming home and told where I was at that point. Then I told the driver to take right, but instead he took straight, then I told him "bhaiyya right bola tha!" he said "madam aage se bhi raasta hai" I said "nahi aap right se hi lijiye, gaadi ghumaiye aur right lijiye" and all this was while I was constantly pretending to be on call with my dad... on insisting he then turned back and dropped me. But his tone before and after completely changed! & I was shocked by that behaviour!😳 I don't know if that was something scary.... but I was really scared that day!
Actually something similar happened to me. He was like nowadays girls are very egoistic, working in IT etc etc, it was not even late night and people were on the street but not very crowded. I was scared and asked him to stop but he did not the car window was the old model so I opened and started banging the door shouting for help but nobody came to help. Police was the on the street they stopped the car. It was not for sexual assault but the can driver was against women working and earning. I was really scared. It was not even late night
I am male and this made me realise intensity of problems faced by female here. As male we never have to worry about these we can move safely even at midnight. But seems like female life is completely different.
The very sad thing is that every woman knows that they don't deserve to live in fear like this. But we have to, cos every single indian woman has been molested, literally everybody you ask, since we were in school.
@@purplestripes4076 . Woman should also come out of victim mentality and come in fighter mode like this women in video did. In this world everyworld harrases the weak no matter who he is. Even Disabled people are harrased. Women should be strong mentally and physically and understand life is a war.
@@koumei1709 Bhai pata hai hum sabko. Our decisions on traveling and where we're going all depend on whether it's safe. I'm saying it's very annoying to do that. You have this 1 life and so do I. However, I can't go backpacking solo or do certain things in some parts of the country cos men can't keep it in their pants. The fact is, whatever we say about equality, men are physically stronger than women and some situations we can't escape. I just feel that "If you're a real man" than you should reflect the vibes like you do with your sister, cousin or a good friend to each and every woman & women should feel safe around you rather than feeling unsafe and creeped out" !!
other ending could have been you should have really noted the number so authorities can be alarmed so it does not happen with any other girl or passenger .. not just for safety for self
He would have been actually screwed if her phone wasn't dead. And now we know to keep a powerbank with ourselves and make sure that our phones have charge so doesn't matter if they watch it or not. The important thing is we watched it lol

Few tips I live by when boarding a cab late in the night:
Very good idea
Sounds like cabs need to be avoided...jeez

A pocket knife or multi use nail cutter always works

one of my colleagues faced a similar problem with a cab driver when she was going home after the party. realising that something was wrong, she jumped out of the car and ran like anything. she got bruises and was crying on the phone while talking to me. thankfully, she escaped. women safety at night is a major concern and cab companies should never take it lightly.
One important thing that you missed here is that we should also report such incident to police/ the app through which you booked the cab, so that the cab drivers would be watched again. Ensure no such things happen in future to other people as well.

Sharing an incident that happened on the night of 20th Jan this year. .I live in Singapore and had booked a flight for my new helper from Delhi to Mumbai and Mumbai to Singapore ..She is originally from Punjab but can speak hindi..So when she reached Mumbai Airport we realised that she wasn't carrying an important document (Vaccinated Travel Pass )without which she couldn't board the connecting flight from Mumbai to Singapore..:( And so some airport authorities in Mumbai Airport told her that she wouldn't be allowed to wait at the airport if she doesn't have another flight booked and advised her to take a taxi at 4am in the morning to some nearby hotel.I was in the meanwhile trying to book another flight for her and I presumed it would be safe for her to board a paid taxi from the airport..The moment she stepped out of the airport she was approached by a tall, dark guy asking her where she intended to go .She asked him to drop her at a nearby hotel to which he agreed initially ,and then t
he put her luggage at the back seat and asked her to sit next to him !!
Can you summaries in short? 20 January to aayi nahi he.

I have goen through something way way similar but I was only 7 or 8 years old and currently I am 12 but at that tiem I wasn't alone I was with my grandma and my mom we were in a traumatizing situation that and things took an unexpected turn we were actually supposed to fly from Chennai to Miami and we came to Chennai through plane but then once we reached the Chennai Airport (note that it was 12 am midnight) so I am actually an American citizen and before leaving India we forgot to apply fir the exit visa amd then they didn't allow us to board the plane, we only had dollar bills and no indian currency we called our relatives and they weren't able to book us a flight back with no choice in absentmidedly we hopped into a taxi which was supposed to take us from Chennai to coimbatore back and the taxi driver was way drunk and so wleh was making calls through the drive and note that it take more the 5 hours to ride from Chennai to coimbatore and the calls were so sus my grandma noticed it right away and told him to top the car in which he denied but he was continuously askign and forcing us to give him money and on the way he was taking alot of wrong turns and making continuous pit stops and making alarming calls but fortunately when he got out of the car my mom and grandma discussed abt the relatives we had nearby in turn we did so when he came back we told him to go to our relatives house instead to make him know that we have people related to us nearby and then soon later we called the police 🚔 and then we switched taxis and went home for a more detailed story of what happened text me in the comments tbh that day still haunts me to death thinking of the possibilities of rape and abuse that could have happened to us and note the fact that I wa sonly 8 I didn't knwo much abt what was happening until now as I am 12 I understood

I was walking and unfortunately even I forgot to recharge my number. Initially, I was worried but I thought that I can't deal with situation if I panic. So, I pretended I am talking to my brother who is near by and coming to pick me and luckily this worked. Girls be aware of your surroundings , always give details of your cab to your friends and family , also say it in a manner where they also know that their details are with your family 👍
Can't the government provide more security.

Such features will discourage unscrupulous drivers from enrolling with the cab service. .
Until the above initiatives become available as a standard feature, women can become acquainted with and use the emergency safety feature available on every android os (most current os) smart phone, which once programmed with your predetermined emergency contacts can be easily activated using a volume key combination press on the phone easily and
discreetly. It will periodically send the phone location, sound and take photos silently using the camera as a distress message automatically to the predetermined contacts. Anyone with a suitably current android can utilise this feature which will instantly send evidence to the predetermined contacts to trap the culprits in any hostile scenario.

Moral of the story:

I was horrified ....got out and told him I'm going to report him to the police as he isn't fit to run a cab ....i regret that I didn't report him.
This is just to tell everyone to check for the doors before sitting in an unknown vehicle.
I drive Uber in some other country, passengers sometimes run without paying money, that's why they lock doors.
@@jikhawkin9656 sad...but in India it's highly unlikely that we can get away by not paying.
You rode with a stranger guy on bike? Are you serious?
@@AdvImranAsgar I book a ride on OLA, I didn't take a random lift
@@tasbihataj3694 ola bikes for girls are more dangerous than usual random lift
Are you out of your mind? Better to take open ola auto than ola bike ride or ola cabs. So strange.
This Video made me realize that How confidence and Presence of mind Is very important for a girl...
Fight back and learn to say NO to things you don't like..✨️
Really one needs a lot of guts to tackle this tough situation. Salute to this brave girl...🥰🥰🥰🥰
Even after being a Male, I felt damn insecure and threatened. I wish that no lady in this world has to ever go through such a situation.
And remember guys, *a girl in need, is a responsibility and not an opportunity.*
Very well said 👏
Ya and when men are in need you shouldn't give a f**k about him only feel responsible to help pretty ladies👍👍

Very Nice... Alertness can avoid many crises..... Hats off....
Being a man,
It makes me feel that the problem is not in the girls,
The problem is in ourselves.
We should not see girls as a tool to satisfy or do something wrong with her.
We should treat her as goddess 🙏
I too have a sister. I will share with her too. This video will help many girls. And
To all the woman
Sorry and respect 😭🙏
I promise i will never think of doing such things and i promise that if i see something happeneing like this i will stop and i will fight against it 🙏
Woww👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Every girl has to be this headstrong!!! She doesn’t need anyone to protect her, she’s enough✌🏼
@Edward Newson jr in er
@@lifeisbeautiful562 if that's the case.. who will safeguard the woman cab driver...n what..if she is chosen by a male customer. 🤔
If the law..gets updated, such that every rapist or molester is given a minimum of life sentence as a punishment. Then they'll dare to play such filthy acts. Hope..feminists don't take advantage of it.. it's just turning toxic.
@@parikshthchauhan1539 true..
It’s better to have our own vehicle mostly, that’s safer
Ok I don't want to scare you
But what you were thinking at that time ,could be right
So you took right decision for your safety
So intelligent of her... She didn't lose her calm and didn't panic...
I don't care if a cab driver support working women or not but the main issue is why he didn't stop when you asked him to....that shows his other side.
But when the driver arrives
Don't ask him 'Are you the Uber driver' instead of this ask this
'Who you are here to pick'.
Agreed!!
Good one 👍
Excellent tip 😌👍
Sorry I didn't understand....
@@JackSparrow-qo3dl I mean when the cab driver arrives you should him This 'Who you are here to pick?'
The focus is always on how women should defend themselves, not how to stop men from seeing us as sex objects.
I've done this thing many times seriously it's like a defence mechanism i have while travelling in a cab. God knows when will we females be able to travel without being worried about such things🤦♀️
In which city, do you experience this?
Have been wanting this for years now. Child lock feature should not be there in any cab. The manufacturers need to keep this in mind.
Very important message for girls.. They should always share the cab details and live location especially when they are traveling alone.
You think we don't know we take so many precostions even if are going to somewhere near our house and we get tought about it from the age 10-11 or from more before it . I am not mocking or scolding you just telling this is the most common and basic precaution known to us

My wife did the same thing 10 years ago when there was no Uber or ola . Now they have made nice documentary film to educate youngsters.
