I just bought my Brother PE800 Embroidery machine, so I am watching all videos that I can. I really enjoyed watching your video. You were great. Thank you very much. 😄
Thanks for the tutorial! I love the step by step instructions! I just received my PE800 and I'm trying to learn as much as I can before my first project.
I did the same thing before I got mine! I read the entire manual too but I found the best way for me was to do is along with someones video. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!
It’s allot little things you have to get to get started outside of the machine that I didn’t realize! Allot of you ladies on UA-cam are extremely helpful because I really didn’t want to read the instructions it I would have! Lol
I have purchased from Amazon, spool thread holders that are made of a rubber or acrylic material that I write the color number on using a Sharpie or other permanent markers so you always know what color you have.
But how do you make sure it doesn’t continue to embroider with the same color? Does it stop on its own and allow you to change the thread color? Or do you have to stop it manually and change the thread color
I just ordered mine; the design turned out quite nice. I does seem loud - is that normal? Also, the thread looks very nice. I am a quilter and have no experience with an embroidery machine, but would like to see if I can embroider my quilt blocks.
Wow!!! Just received my machine today!! Can’t wait to get started!! You did a beautiful teaching job!! Does a certain brand of needle and thread work best with this machine?
would you say the pe800 is designed to stitch close to (or sometimes overlap) existing embroidery stitching? when i attempt this on my se600, it sometimes plucks or pulls the entire hoop up and it bounces, like it's catching, otherwise it does for the most part work out despite doing this.. and it only seems to do it when it slows down to get ready for the next jump stitch.
Love the Purple...it turned out great! My favorite color! This was my first project as well but I am having tention problems. Can you give any advice? Thanks!
clark lane thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I would recommend that you read the manual and use a notebook to make notes on different projects. Having a quick reference guide for stabilizers will save you time. Also I would say, use old clothing to test samples so you don’t destroy new items.
I recently purchased the PE800. I'm wondering about digitizing software. Did you purchase the PE 10 or 11 software? Is digitizing software necessary? What is the purpose of digitizing? I would like to create my own designs. Thank you
@@bevsnyman857 --- Good luck on finding that out. Most of these embroidery businesses want you to pay them and they will create your design for you and you have to pay them. Don't buy fake software on eBay. Did you notice they did not respond?
@@bevsnyman857 at the time of this video, I did not have embroidery software. I have since purchased and use Embrilliance as it was the one I found to be best for me. I could purchase the different levels as I grew. I’ve seen others use Sew What Pro and Wilcom software. It’s really about your personal preference. Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for watching!
Very pretty! I’d like to see the project you put that on ... I forgot if u said what it’ll be. thanks for sharing ... I got the project runway brother embroidery/sewing machine and haven’t tried the embroidery part yet but you’ve inspired me!
Amber Light thank you! I had no idea of what to do with it, I think I’ll just frame it and hang in my room. I was looking at that machine too. Thanks for watching!!
Hi where did you get the thread chart from please, and what’s it called? I know you said you’re husband bought it for you , but from where . Regards Steve in uk
Did you have to swap out the color spools one by one in order to achieve the full design? Does the machine automatically stop when each color is complete & does it follow the order of colors displayed on the screen? This video is super helpful, thank you so much for sharing!
Yes, you will have to change each color spool (re-thread machine). With each color change the machine stop and the colors are displayed on screen to show you the color selection. I am uploading a video to show how to make changes and color substitutions so check back for that video. Thanks for watching!
Hi ! How do you avoid puckering? Most of my embroideries are on stretchy type of cottons (tshirt) but still 100% cotton , and it comes out all puckered
Can you program your own design/logo into this model or no? I'm looking to purchase one but want to be able to embroider my logo instead of paying someone else to do it
Can you tell me if you change out the bobbin colors too? And I would have liked to see the transitions from one color to the next and if it stops automatically or what? How do you know when to change the color?
I've kept the same bobbin color in, but there are some designs that all for the same color bobbin as the top color. My PE800 stops for each color change.
You really don't need to use the same color as the top color unless you are stitching on a sheer fabric that you can see both the top and bottom. It makes changing the colors take much longer and you take the chance of un-hooping your project. I use white for most of my embroidery bobbin thread. I also use black at times if I am stitching on dark colored fabric. I have been doing machine embroidery for over 25 years.
I need a embriodery machine that can embrioder 8x8 design for womens clothingline. I want to use it for denim, polyester and hoodies. Any suggestions? Ive done my research and im just stuck.
There are quite a few that have a 7.8” field Janome Memory Craft or you should check out the 6x10 hoops but you’ll have to re-hoop for larger images. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Somebody like Lavender/purple. You've done better than me. Can't wait to see more projects with your machine.
Yes, I LOVE PURPLE! I do plan to do more videos so stay tuned!!
YES!! Gingher scissors are the BEST!! Ive used them for years and they are still excellent!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Very pretty design.
I like purple too. Great video. I’m considering purchasing this machine.

your nails are beautiful!!! (great video too!)
Loved the video
But how do you make sure it doesn’t continue to embroider with the same color? Does it stop on its own and allow you to change the thread color? Or do you have to stop it manually and change the thread color
For these smaller machines , they stop and then you manually change the color.
Just use a fine point permanent marker pen and write number on spool
The best tutorial i have seen i just SUB
Wonderful, informative video!!
When do you use the stabilizer paper/sheet?

Please let us know which digitizing software is best to use for the PE800 ?

do you not have to change the thread color when you select the different color to use? like the green and the blue ?

Stabilizer on the front and back is absolutely essential for stretchy fabrics. You can use tear away for the front.

Does the PE800 support png format? Or what format does it support? I’m trying to figure out how to put my lock in the usb
PES files.
For a project that requires you to change the thread colors, what color do you use for the bobbin?
I use the white bobbin thread for all projects unless you can see the back in which case you would want to match the thread.
Does the machine stop each time it’s done the colour?xx
Yes, for each color change.
What is the best tension?
I haven’t changed the tension, it’s best to leave it. Have you had problems with the bobbin showing on top?
@@LenaRayAtl yes is in the top
@@hooked_fish there is a bobbin tension file you can use to make the adjustment. You can get them from Esty just search “tension check”.
I’ve been reading anywhere between 2.3 & 3 works for most people

Elsa Traynor congratulations! The serial number is located on the back of the machine (silver sticker).
What was the size of this design?
This design was about 5” tall, 3” wide. Thanks for watching!
Do you have an embroidery program
Double Dees Tumblers I use Embrillance, I tried SewWhat Pro but found Embrillance easier to learn. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Thank you I purchased Embrilliance...do you know if I can download to Ipad as well?
@@LenaRayAtl what program would I use to create my own designs from fonts that I already have?
The thread keeps on coming out of the needle when ever the machine starts doing its thing 😭😭😭 what’s going on with this?! HELP?!!!!!!
Can we write our own name on our tshirt
Yes! You can use the built in fonts on the machine or buy them online.
