In South Africa, Tourists can go to Johannesburg, Cape town, Durban and even Polokwane. These tourists go there for different reasons. Thus, South Africa isn't just Johannesburg & Pretoria. Part of our problem in Nigeria is hyper focusing on our key destinations of Lagos & Abuja. We have Calabar, where people might want to see former slave routes, TINAPA,OBUDU, we have Enugu where people might want to see traditional ceremonies and masquerade parades, we have Kano where people might want to see the early civilization of northern Nigeria, Just as a class of tourists will want to see Argungu fishing festival in Sokoto. Ours is a very rich country if we approach tourism properly and without restricting Nigeria to A or B like we typically approach everything with artificial restrictions in Nigeria.
+Didi, Please tell Mr. George that the government of Nigeria has absolute right in regulating and mandating business entities into doing business transactions in our local currency. I live here in New York city and I don't believe Mr. George would check into a New York hotel and pay them in Naira. Let's be real here. Regulatory policies is part of the primary responsibilities of any national government all over the world.
That's bullshit. If I wanna sign a contract denominated in north Korean won I can do that in most sane places in the world. It would be insane for me to do so, but there wouldn't be any government preventing me to do it. As for the NY hotel- the hotel can demand to only be paid in local currency and is only obligated to accept payment in local currency but they can accept anything else too if they wish. For ex French stores and supermarkets on the swiss border will happily accept French francs in payment. Where the government regulates these things it's just a cash grab- they wanna make sure the foreign currency gets converted at which point they can get their hands on it.
I keep wondering why tourists keep eyeing Lagos alone! There are so many beautiful places in Nigeria. I think visitors need to explore more. Calabar, Uyo, the Mambillas of Taraba, Enugu is sweet, Kajuru German Castles are there in Kaduna with fantastic facilities, and so forth. Abuja is 5 star! I will however advise tourists that are not so rich not to seek out Abuja
The strength of the dollar is directly related to its preferred use in many places in the world. We are not ready for the policy yet since we rely heavily on imports.
Excellent. Can't wait. Could you please get into the finer details of how someone puts together something of a decent size. For example .... put together a team of people with XYZ background, form a LLC and give shares to your team, raise equity and then find real estate partners. How does that whole process actually work.... this is useful game that many of us would like. Let's say I wanted to establish a $10 mil. mall. How would you do that?
Taking out d dollar policy is d best for Nigeria because it will give the Nigerian currency d chance to dominate d countries market beside dollar is for d US and let it remain there

I too was surprised that Mr George was ignorant of that fact.

C. Lincoln do your research, this show isn't going to spell that out for you! plus you can consult with the companies and entities shown here!
I know and understand that. I was just giving some feedback so they could make the show even better than it already is :).
Enjoy your Sunday.
Hospital is one of the lucrative industry in Nigeria.
Beautiful Africa!
Mr George needs to take a crash course in economics. I'm not sure he can travel to the USA and pay with any currency of his choice.
New-Age-African-Intellectuals Atheists & Theists why not
Mr George, I know you are businessman. Please when next you travel to US, hand the hotel receptionist Euro currency to cover cost of your lodging.
