      i wish they would expand on the minor factions like jawal and hidden hand, there is a lot of lore potential here and is sad to see them relegated to just be mercenaries; some of those factions seems capable of much more

      True, I remember back in dev blogs they talked about minor faction bases, where you can recruit special units. That would be a good start!

      @@Artem1s they should really expand on them; some factions are more like special bandit groups, others more like orders, so it would fit if lest say The Shield Brothers have a lil castle or more bandit alike factions like the Brotherhood in Vlandia had something similar to bandit hidehouds and depending how the player goes they can be enemy spots or allies; just dont seclude them to mere mercenaries

    For me i would LOVE more npc interactions, mainly on companions, to help keep the Game feeling alive even if those where some very random dialogues tied to the kind of npc instead of civilian/wanderer/lord allí sharing the same things to say

    Absolutly agree with your points. I wish there were also more quests tied to other mechanics in the game too, like a quest from a lord to present them with a hand-crafted T5 Sword within 100 days or more quests in general to undertake. I feel like an overhaul to the political system would definetly help with that, maybe you take a quest on for a Lord in Exile to muster up 80 trained men, or youre told to track down a lord in exile and eliminate them covertly. I feel like there are some interesting things you could do with rougery and assassination on the player side that would fulfill that fantasy of being a court assassin or whatnot

      (These are conservative and actual Presbyterian churches)
      If you can’t find one of the conservative presby churches then, maybe a Lcms or Wels Lutheran church.
      If you are Scottish, I recommend the Free Church of Scotland and the APC
      (Different from the Church of Scotland)
      If you are English I recommend the Free Church of England.

      Online you can look up church finders for each of the groups and it will show you locations.

    Totally agree about seige layers, another thought about them is it could be used to draw out seiges on the campaign map giving defenders a chance for reinforcements to arrive 👍
    Say you take the walls, a message pops up saying the enemies are falling back, then you go back to the campaign map and have to wait maybe 6-12 hrs before being able to launch the next attack. Then lastly, the keep will take 24 hrs to break into before being able to conquer it. Giving the defenders another 1.5 days grace to allow help to come!

    personally i would love being able to travel by sea and some sort of naval battle system. i know its a really big thing to ask for but i think its one of the most glaring thing missing

      They already did in warband viking conquest dlc so they pretty much have the foundations on it... idk why they are not working on it

      Banner Kings / Banner Kings Culture Expanded mod has expanded the map and allows you and the AI to take ships to islands or fast travel between cities, but the battles are teleported to land.

    Agree on all points but especially on having more things happen in the actual game and not on menus. I especially dislike how i can't just camp in the field like in Warband with a little tent on the map, something so simple yet so meaningful to show you aren't just standing in place doing nothing for hours. I wouldn't stop at features from Warband, i'd take everything from Viking Conquest too.

      Yeah, even ignoring naval warfare, Viking Conquest had a shitload of awesome features that I was sorely disappointed that they didn’t make it into Bannerlord.
      Having your own hideout, advanced siege options like poisoning their water, killing their livestock, setting fire to their grain. Random encounters on the map and in sieges. Religion, monasteries to loot or recruit or buy wine at. Hofs to worship pagan gods and possibly get skill points and recruit berserkers. Quarries to sell slaves, salt mines, farmsteads, lumber yards. Just special areas in general that aren’t just fiefs or bandit hideouts, some of these areas had companions, slave traders, or bosses to fight to get unique weapons and armor. Having a smith make you high tier armor and weapons for a high price so you don’t have to do it yourself. Spears being effective weapons. Selling to bandit hideouts and recruiting bandits if you were a dishonorable character.
      I could go on some more but I’ve said enough.

    Layered siege defences. The fact that there's just one wall and that's it is the biggest letdown for me in Bannerlord.

      Supposedly there are keep battles but i have never witnessed one once in my 250h of playtime.
      Meanwhile in Warband i always semi-dreaded having to fight a keep battle almost every siege because i would have to be careful not to take too much dmg on the way in (wich is hard because of the grueling nature of Warband sieges) and then being outnumbered on the actual keep battle also added a bit more of a skill check/tension

      @@cherryrook8684 I've had to fight many keep battles in my playthrough. The key - the garrison + militia usually has to be reasonably large (250+ or so) and you need around 30-40+ minimum enemy defenders to physically flee the battle when you win the initial attack.
      Keep battles are much easier than Warband's version. Yes, you usually bring 18 attackers personally (+ friendly lords) and there can be from 30 to up to 60 or so defenders, but the attacking team is usually stacked with high quality units like lords, your companion heroes and T6 units while the defenders are almost always entirely militia units who don't present a united defense. It's just a slaughter really.

      @@Talinoth I frequently fight sieges with 500+ defenders and i see a lot fleeing but still not a single keep battle fought. It just goes straight to after battle victory screen

    before i got a PC i always used to watch M&B warband and napoleon videos on YT and i was so amazed as a kid and always wanted to play it. When i finally built a pc in 2016, Warband was my first game i bought for my pc and it was the best experience i had for a very long time! The world seemed so alive and every playthrough felt so different and personal (granted i was 15 and overlooked a lot of the errors and technical shortcomming but i just didnt care or notice). I remember building up my mercanery company from lowly peasants to a band of armored knights that would go from town to town to join in the tournaments. At some point I met a Lord (forgot whichc one but he was the swadian grumpy one with the black goatee) and i messed up the quest he gave me (probably bc i couldnt find a bandit camp or something) but after a while i befriended some other lord that was in hte middle of the swadian kingdom. We basically became best friends and he made me join the kingdom. Oh and i got some kind of rivalry with that lord from before and we actually fought over a lady at some point and later i jus kept looking for him in tournaments and beat him up. At the end my best friend lord (who turns out was my father in law now) jolined the saranids and it becaem a whole thing how i defended the lands in the north and east from swadias enemies and even destroyed rodok by myself only for Harlaus to keep all the stuff and i started a rebellion... all that story just happened naturally with flavour texts and random messing around. Bannerlord is really missing a lot of stuff

    I've given up hope at this rate. I've got enough hours out of it. Modders kept this game alive and they're rewarded with their mods being broken by pointless mini updates.
    There are so many great mods that should have been part of the base game (like Serve As A Soldier)

    like I said, nowhere near a finished product. but it's not "laughable", it's tragic - the game of our dreams hasn't even come close to realizing its full potential. this is a disaster of Duke Nukem Forever proportions.

    I feel like taleworlds just abandoned the game after the "full" release. Progress is excruciatingly slow and updates are minimal.

    4:20 (heh) This is actually how I thought the system worked when I bought the game. I thought the top bar is just a preview of "Here, these are the nobles you will encounter in this area. A facial preview, so you won't walk around like a headless chicken talking to everyone until you found every noble, but you *will* have to physically go into the map and find them, afterwards you can just talk to them via the top bar"
    I went around for hours just going from village to village to talk to every noble, just to later on then figure out that I could've just talked to them through that overlay without even knowing them at all.
    I still sometimes do just walk around the maps and physically talk to the nobles, just because it gives me a more immersive feeling, but the looming undertone of "You don't have to do that. Just be lazy, the game made it easier for you. Play the game like a game journalist would" is always there

    They owe you an apology for only being able to do so much in all these years. If it wasn't for the modders, we would have forgotten this game long ago. I'm sorry but I'm very disappointed, they're lucky to have such a dominant game. For a good game you need to download some mods so you don't bore yourself to death, I think that says it all.

    Here are my suggestions for Bannerlord :
    - More advanced diplomacy, especially with religion and assassinations, or even the possibility of launching crusades.
    - More evolving sieges: for example, once the first wall is taken, the fighting continues in the streets (such as houses that can be occupied with the ability to shoot from windows or roofs, barricades in the streets, a second door to cross, etc.) and this continues until the gate of the keep (which would bring back the interest of having a second enclosure in certain castles).
    - Destructible elements, other than the crenels of the walls, such as the roofs of buildings for a stray cannonball, as well as the possibility of setting buildings on fire with a flaming projectile like a pot (similar to what happened in “Medieval 2: Total War,” for example).
    - Being able to decide whether or not to be mounted on horseback during sieges, to attempt a real-time sortie, for example, or to pursue fleeing enemies after a successful defense.
    - Being able to place our soldiers one by one, especially for sieges and ambush battles, without resorting to mods.
    - The long-awaited naval battles (wanted by everyone anyway).
    - Having more troops on the screen (larger armies allowed by the game engine).
    - Having more diversity in equipment to avoid the “clone effect,” as well as a slight difference in color tone from one soldier to another (or from one garment to another) (for example, for the Vlandians, a more or less dark red depending on the cape/tunic/hood or the soldier).
    - Giving soldiers waiting postures and animations once in battle, such as fatigue or disease effects if morale is low (if food supplies are low or zero, or even perishable over time (and therefore bought/sold at a lower price)), animations that would resemble those of “Attila: Total War.”
    - Being able to place our siege engines ourselves in the location that we find most suitable for firing (while having a limited area, of course, to avoid placing them in too overpowered or unrealistic locations).
    - Not only having double doors for castle entrances, but also sometimes a portcullis, or even a drawbridge, or even all three (which could be obtained with the wall upgrade in the building chain, for example).
    - During city sieges, having the population present (whether it’s people helping on the walls to manipulate stones or defense machines, or people running in panic in the streets).
    - Having more unique rewards when winning a tournament (winning a javelin after defeating all the competitors in a tournament organized by a great noble or even a king is a bit disappointing).
    - Being able to increase tournament bets (within reasonable limits) instead of always being limited to a maximum of 600 gold.
    - When an army is garrisoned in a city, only soldiers should be seen guarding the gates, not knights or elite troops (and with their own weapons, not just a simple lance).
    - Having more life in the streets of cities, such as more passersby, pets, children playing, musicians, workers carrying bags or crates, etc. (a bit like Novigrad in “The Witcher 3”).
    - Of course, getting animals in war. Certainly elephants, but it would also be cool to have war dogs (as the Romans used in battle, as well as some armies in the Middle Ages).
    - Adding a configurable “blood and gore” option to be able to cut off limbs, as well as effects/sounds for hits on armor (and why not mud textures if we wade through it on wet terrain).
    - In character creation, adding an age parameter to display the aging of characters (which would also be displayed over time during a campaign), to avoid people keeping an eternally youthful appearance.
    - More diversity in music on the campaign map, in battles, in cities, and on the main menu (because it can be a bit too repetitive sometimes).
    - Adding a "panic" animation when you fall from a too high location, in order to prevent the "standing" and straight position during the fall
    - Adding a "undermining" mechanic during sieges in order to sap walls, it would be longer to do, but wouldn't need siege machines (with possibility given a chance to defenders to detect it and to attack sappers with a little group)
    - Getting two entrances for each major city at least, it would make 2 sides to attack (attacker could choose side), but also player on Campaign Map wouldn't have to make the whole turn to entering the city

    Diplomacy is the number 1 for me random events in town or something to lure me into towns or villages.

    My biggest issue is the AI but not the Battle AI so much, but the campaign AI. The AI doesn't defend it's territory well, at all. It would be great to see the AI lords staying near their castles / cities and going in to defend if a large army comes there way. Likewise, it would be great to see the AI try to take out weaker enemy armies in the field, if they can. They only focus on taking cities / castles. Finally, the AI needs to realize it needs a larger army to take cities that are defended. It doesn't take into account how effective an advanced army is in defending a city / castle.

    Great video, yes we all agree with your comments. I'm always pushing devs to port warband into BL. 1.2.8 still isn't stable so i think more bug fixes are required.

    This may sound weird but I think they should add a faction that will come in through the boarders of the map at one point and at first have a massive army but over time levels out, like a invasion.

    When I see you fight I ask myself if we were playing the same game. I never had a situation like this. My shild wal most the time holdes and needs to get swarmed to be beaten. Bit is is a good fight. If too many Warriors there is better tactics than just to throw them at each other. No, the fights in Bannerlord is what makes this game great.
    Bridge, Up hil, down hill, Forest if they have fewer numbers, this damn canyon, field, Field with trees, River, Village....ah, I just love this game.

    The AI is my biggest gripe. Failed two merchant export missions because the stupid guards think it's tactically better to stand out in the open and separated so the raiders can easily pick them off

    A decent main quest, like jfc, the main quest is a fucking joke it's so boring and annoying. Compare it to the main quest in Viking Conquest where you have intrigue, betrayal, adventure, etc. Bannerlords main quest is a abysmal...

    My Thoughts and proposed changes to Bannerlord Gameplay:
    Settlement management and buildings should function in a similar way to total war games:
    Castles and Towns
    Rather than every town having the same buildings the owner has to choose which buildings are in their settlements. There will be limited slots so settlements will have to play a specific role for the clan which owns them (and for a faction overall). Some settlements will produce good archers while others will produce good infantrymen. Others will be focused on the economy. As the settlement levels up more slots will become available. Faction specialisations will increase variety.
    Buildings will include:
    Resource Manufacture Buildings
    Some individual towns have access to special resources in their villages like mines. In these cases the settlement may have a special building chain to go with it (e.g Foundry)
    Infrastructure
    Infrastructure buildings will generally come in 4 varieties.
    • Food buildings which increase growth and ability to withstand sieges (e.g granary and aqueducts).
    • Economic buildings which increase monetary income (e.g markets, guilds, tax collectors).
    • Buildings which increase public order (religious and civic buildings) .
    • Defence buildings which increase the garrison or provide increased security (watchtowers, walls, garrison barracks).
    Ports
    Coastal settlements have access to a port building chain which usually increases growth and income, while allowing trade routes to other factions with ports on the same sea. Several settlements also have special ports.
    Military recruitment / Basic military
    Once built in a province, these buildings allow recruitment of core men at arms units (number scales with building level, perks and population)
    • Archery Range
    • Infantry Barracks
    • Stables
    • Siege workshop
    Military support / Advanced military
    These buildings improve quality of troops including levies, men at arms and knights by improving equipment and training. Some may provide access to elite troops (in each cultures capital).
    Unique Buildings
    Special buildings (including landmarks) are unique to that specific settlement on the campaign map. Landmarks often provide unique bonuses and may not be available to build for other cultures.
    Villages
    Villages are mostly focused on resource extraction and defence so most of the available buildings relate to these functions.
    Basic Walls and Towers
    Small Garrisons
    Farming and Forestry Buildings
    Churches
    Town Halls
    Resource buildings (corresponding to village resource)
    Recruitment
    Recruitment should function in a similar way to crusader kings
    The owner of the settlement will be able to raise levies, men at arms, and knights from their settlement and it’s hinterland. The number of each available to the ruler will be determined by settlement population, wealth and buildings as well as policies and personal buffs. Knight populations are largely related to families with land holdings that exist in your settlements. Mustering troops takes time and troops will take time to regenerate if killed. Losing significant proportions of your knights and levies can have knock on economic and social impacts. Allowing populations to grow too large may also cause problems.
    Until you own a settlement the only troops you can recruit are companions, mercenaries (from taverns), bandits (from gang leaders) and deserters (after defeating them in battle or from taverns). You can also serve as a soldier and become captain of a battle formation.
    To get your first settlement you either need to take it with a party made up of mercenaries, buy a plot of land with money made from trade, or join a noble as a soldier and work towards knighthood and the ownership of a plot of land. From here you will have to work your way up the social ladder to grow your titles and land holdings.
    Alternative campaign starts will allow you to start the game as one of the faction leaders, a duke (own a town), an earl (a castle), a baron (a village) or a knight (land in a village)
    Once you own a settlement (castle or town) you can recruit quotas of levies, men at arms and knights based on the population and other buffs outlined above. Barons and knights only have access to levies. Each level of title provides access to some troops so a knight, baron and earl would each be entitled to their own portion of levies (like crusader kings). Earls would be able to call their barons and knights to battle when needed through the mustering tool. Alternatively they can leave them in situ if they feel defence of a particular settlement is more important.

    I’ve been playing and notice when you have a big army the enemy will abandon the walls and attempt to hold the courtyard honestly not a bad strategy

    I absolutely hated walking around town before I could deal with the town/village head man. The towns and stuff are nice, but I hate to be forced into them.

    The keep battle is there and there are different scenes, modders should be clear when they speak about the game as they confuse people.
    The thing is that yes, the game should much go deeper with granularity of outcomes and make you choose to go for the kitchens by reading the environment if one plays no HUD or checking with ALT where it is, or go to nursery if you go for extermination and else, or go to high rooms if you go for capture\kill HVTs, or for armory... and also time you take should make potentially the HVTs and wives and kids escape... this means they will not be able to be seen in the map because they "or took a tunnel" or "escaped from windows and or secret paths or guards have opened them a way"... This stuff should be possible also for you and you could press a commmand : Tell x number of the troops to go inside to fight in keep... and you retire in and depending on situation usually can't pick troops for that and then once inside you can decide to disappear and start escaping or fighting enemy in there...
    OR even Parlay
    egociate.

    I want a stealth "break-in" siege where you sneak with 10 men and try to open the gate against like 40-50 guys hut have to be stealthy with a time limit. If you open it maybe then your siege the gate with be stuck open or broken. Might be cool.

    I had big hopes in this game like in many others. I was like: 'it has nice potential. give it some time to develop, after knowing things come out unfinished and much too early these days.' Sadly most games and also other things in life dont get 'finished' or polished to a nearly 'perfect' state. Most times the developers arent the ones to blame, as they would like to create very good things they could be proud of. But they are not the ones who decide. Its just about the simple mechanics of marketingstrategies. Every product has a lifespan and u rather bring out a new product than investing immense developmentpowers to make a product from like 90%-state, which u can reach easily by just following standards taking no risks, to near 100% where things get tricky. Thats why we all only get mediocre stuff and pearls are extremely rare. The only chance u have is to make the deciders feel, the community is ready to give out another big pile of money, enough to make them consider breaking their own rules of their strategic. Still most times they wont take any risks or just give a damn. Get used to average tasting cakes with mould on top. Welcome to reality everyone...

    an ACTUAL in-game Banner editor would be nice...but I know they too lazy to implement it! so until then we'll keep having RED VS BLUE Calradian boogaloo for the next 4 years

    Honestly my number one priority is late game content. the mid and early game are great but the late game is an awful slog. I think it could really be fixed by diplomacy features (obvious I know), the game really needs to add improved npc relations and have it better effect the overall world. Like if someone hates you, why not have them try to kill you or set up an alliance against you. We need effects for our actions. I also think an overall goal for the storymode would help alot with the fatigue you get in a playthrough, conquer the world is not an objective, its a punishment. Give us a proper goal (or a few different goals) to aim for so your plathrough can have a satisfying conclusion.
    The game really still needs alot of work but I think if they focus on endgame content and diplomacy we could see some serious improvements in 2024

    Two features I'd like to see in Bannerlord (if they are within the realm of possibility, that is):
    1. Animal companion (pet eagle, dog, etc)
    2. Wielding two weapons simultaneously (for example, wielding a sword and a dagger at the same time).

    Working control+X cheats. I found out today that they don't work. They are very useful for testing things.
    The white tabard over mail and similar items should not have a permanent low res Vladian lion on it.
    These two fixes would be nice to get this year

    Honestly I'd be happy already if they got the game to a stable state with all Warband features so the modders could get to work. Barely played vanilla Warband so I'm not sure what was vanilla and what was mod anymore.

    Honestly i am 90% sure that most bannerlord devs never playtested warband, seeing as so many features from warband are missing.
    The ones that get added are only so because a modder made a mod to include a missing feature

    The one where you mentioed city battles are the most important, that and diplomacy. when attacking a city, the gates and walls are only the basic parts. taking the city by fighting through clustered chokepoints is sorely needed.
    I'm ever so bored of just taking a gate and winning a siege.

    I believe there are some MODS that should be implemented into main game. Because I am sure that almost all gamers who still playing this game they do it because of these MODS. For example Diplomacy - in current state game has ZERO logic then it comes to it. That's why we use MOD for it. Other example - improved garrison - can't think my games without it. And according to nexus download history - most ppl as well. In other words every MOD that makes this game more immersive, more fun, more dynamic - should have a potential to become part of main game.
    I personally would like to see a change in AI regarding fief distribution. For example: if a lord has a fief. His priority must be to hold it. that means garrisoning troops and giving an effort at least. But if after 3th time town was taken from him because it had 10 garrisoned troops - maybe try giving a fief to someone else? I believe that would help to reduce AI playing PING-PONG with their enemies on Taking A, but loosing B, then going to take B back while loosing A..
    And I have one idea about economics of the game and I am thinking to try and do a MOD for it.. However, I have zero understandings how MODS are made, so it gonna take me some time :D Anyone haves any advice - please - shout them out :)

    to me one weird thing that really stands out in bannerlord is that everyones face is pretty much the same no matter how you customizez it. Its like everyone in calradia is fuckin inbred lmao. Actually kind of immersion breaking.

    rant: vanilla battles most of time take 2minutes with over half just moving. a players missed swings or a 10 second delay has massive consequences to a 30sec battle- a player might hit few guys and all your cavalry might be dead the next time you look back up..
    its laughable

    Would love more ways to gain/farm trait points. - Like through making court/town decisions when you are a ruler or interacting with a town's people in certain ways.
    Better ways to train your clan members/companions - It takes too long for your companions to reach their max potential. Simply exposing them to combat isn't enough and it doesn't help that stat distribution sucks at the moment. Sending off to missions is decent but for the most part only improves the skill that the companion/clan member passed the prerequisite for. Clan members after coming of age suck too. You tellin me that hiring the best teachers/trainers and sending off my kid to real life experiences throughout their entire life so far - things my character never had - only gets me max 50-60 points on a skill I focused on? There's literally an option to send your teenaged kid to get bloodied in tourneys and all I get is 5 points in a melee skill from that? Minimum skill requirement is 100 in a melee skill, my kid should be ready to join in tourneys from the get go, but nope, 50 points is apparently all that he gathered since we started training in their whole life. This only applies to you btw, NPC children start out with so many points at coming of age. Either they should add better point rewards, better trainers, or just increase Clan Member XP gain by a lot cuz this part just adds another unnecessary grind.
    Add some cool things we had from Viking Conquest - Outside of ship combat, VC added a lot of other cool things that made me played that so much more over Warband. We had refuges that we could improve over time with money and supplies. We had quarters to store troops in (I used these to reduce my troop sizes so I can hunt local bandits). We had random events happen during siege - this is a little controversial since it puts so many of your troops at risk but man did it make the waiting fun and interesting. It had a lot of ways to undermine your enemy's defenses. This could've been a great way to farm certain traits too. We could actually go inside towns and raze it if we chose to devastate them. So much stuff we could add from there that isn't even ship combat.
    Would love to switch between our clan members without having to retire our own character. Not sure how many are aware of this but NPC clans tend to switch who their main parties are. They do this on many occasions mostly if the clan leaders is captured by the enemy (though sometimes the leader would just chill at a fief as well). This is why sometimes you will see one of their vassals lead armies instead of the clan leader. This would have many great uses: Training companions skills manually, Running an army with someone who is best suited for it, saving your own character in case they get captured (this is especially great cuz I've seen screenshots of people who have been captured for months), it would actually let your main character make use of governor skills! Like so many options man! There IS a mod exactly like this. Obviously it can be a bit buggy since the game does not work like this, but it is awesome. It is called the Player Switcher - make sure you get the one from the ACTUAL author. But it is a great mod that I use for the reasons I mentioned above. Edit: judging from some posts off the mod page it doesn't seem to be working/working well in 1.2.8 which is unfortunate. But keep on a lookout for that mod :)

    I can expect them to remove the ranking system from multiplayer so we can create partys and just join matchmaking, 1.,7.2 really killed the multiplayer for me and my friends

    The menus are a godsend for console players, loading screens take almost 2 minutes. If there weren't shortcuts in the menus and i would have to wait that long every time i want to go to the tavern i wouldn't play the game anymore.

    Diplomacy in the game is "non-existent". on or off isnt diplomacy..
    Atleast you have mods for pc atleast - aptly named "Diplomacy" that fixes this aspect of the game (I'd still wish it was abit more deep though).

    I would love to see different political systems with a "line of succession" feature that the player can set. Depending on who succeeds could contribute to relations within families and clans causing more civil wars. Example. I set a younger son to succeed which causes all the other brothers and sisters to get pissed off. so on so forth. Right now the democratic nature of leader selection has always baffled me.

    One of my biggest issues is marriage. I've had multiple sons and I've wanted to get them wives. Oh hey look, a 20 year old woman from this clan, has good stats, and is eligible to be married, great, let's talk to the leader. Leader says he's only offering the 60 year old unmarried woman in the clan.... No selection, no negotiating, just 'marry whoever I say you have to marry.' More often than not I need to wait until my sons are in their 30s to actually marry them to someone young enough to have children.

    About menus and immersion, i totally disagree. Yeah it would work if you need to talk to nobles first time and then they would be in menu. But full immersion is for masochists. I don't really liked that part in Warband, there are a lot of villages and town and you need to find village elder or town keeper for missions and buying workshops. And ambushes, ambush in Warband trggered on going to shops and forces player into small 1v3 fight, it can totally be in menus too, like when you go to arena you see strange group of looters, if you ignore them they would ambush you, but you would have ability to avoid them if you don't want battle. Similar can be done with taverns and ambush in it, and ambushes in taverns would be more intersting due to how companions works right now.
    As for me, they should add additional passives to weapon parts, like heavy hitter that increase chance to knock down opponent, or cut through everything so some 2h swords and 2h polearms would cut hordes of looters and recruits. Add new traits for spears so finally spearmen would be normal role to have, spears have like very cool animations and can deliver high amount of pierce damage, but they so easily blockable, but in real life it is hard to block spear if you don't have a shield.

    Yes all of these are great but if I were to choose any of these it would definitely have to be the realistic battle mod, it would make it so much better and make battles longer, as it currently stands infantry angagement is just suicide, line battle just turns into a moshpit that ends in less than a minute and you loose so many troops too so the formation breaks instantly, no time to strategize or do formation tactics, more akin to Hollywood battles, no discipline no maneuvering, just terrible. I'd love for there to be better formation battle, instead of loosing all your infantry in the first angagement, slowly as you are loosing men more should be spawning to reinforce the line, instead of all at once, completely breaking the pace and cohesiveness of the battle. We can only hope

    It's a nope for me to the city battles, ai already struggling with routing and there is a bug when the last defender is trapped in a wall and you can't finish the battle.

      @@Gizz101 Until in one of those "nothing is going to happen" jumps you actually die and your campaign and your day are ruined. It's not that I don't know how to deal with the bug, it's that the game is not actually ready for proper urban combat in the current iteration.

    I cannot bear to play Bannerlord for more than a few hours. Everytime I tried, I just can’t. I hate what they’ve done with the leveling system, the stupid main quest that takes away from the roleplay by giving you a fixes background, horsemen who cant use their lances properly, the AI running from a fight when they are about to WIN, the repetitive battlefield scenes reused over and over. There’s even more to talk about, but let’s just say I keep going back to Warband and even with all it’s limitations I can still at least have fun with it.

    I agree vanilla bannerlord is a good functional battle game. But map play is fun for a short while. I stopped playing and just have a new game on beta’s. I haven’t finished one play through I get bored. In my current campaign through I added A.I executioner, Fourbirie , true relations and diplomacy and it’s such massive difference. I now have enemies at least . I had my loyal companion executed by a evil murdering Aseri lord after we were defeated in battle . In return I hired an Assassin to kill him as he was to powerful on the battlefield. The Assassin failed and now the Aseri lord is blackmailing me. I only hope he get captured by Monchug as he is now a bad mutha who executes his enemies.

    Diplomacy, naval battles, naval trade, island cities, there are so many important things missing. I sincerely do not understand what is going on at TaleWorlds. At this point I don't think we'll ever get a proper diplomacy system.

    Bannerlord is really missing a dynamic layer in regard to territory. There needs to be some sort of Border System to the game. Instead of armies mindlessly going around sieging castles and raiding villages deep in your Kingdom, they would tend to siege castles on their borders. Also another layer where you could see borders of territory's held by lords as well. So, 2 Layers. One of borders on Kingdoms, another one of borders with lords. I think people who enjoy seeing colors change on a map would enjoy that feature. Add some flavor to the end game

      That's a really good idea. I think something like the system they have in ck3 where when you zoom out the map changes to display borders but when you zoom in you get a more detailed view of fiefs would work great.
