some subjects... stepping the mast, launching, basic rigging, mast lowering, beaching, anchoring, basic knots.. basic maintenance, using the motor.. just some ideas..
Thanks Daniel, I appreciate the feedback. and will definitely work on some of those ideas between trips. I just watched a vid of a boat that sunk in wathumba creek, and I realised how flawed my anchoring technique was in that instance, line to shore over a fast moving stream of water. Lucky to get away with it.
Amazing how different she is, having seen Mozart after the resto. I didn't realise she had a lifting cabin top either; that is a handy thing too have. Thanks for the sub too. Atb.
@@SmallSailboatCruising Have not been there since my Navy days in about 89. So I will be looking forward to your video so I can put it on my list ;-) Simon Carter would be the one to ask.
I was a bit slow getting this one published. I went straight into stage 2, and published a couple of other videos. So this one goes back a couple of months.
+Sailing Moonlight Thanks for that. I’ve been thinking the same thing. I’ve been thinking about launch and retrieve. Anchoring. Heaving too for a cup of coffee or man overboard or indeed man overboard and a cuppa once retrieved. Perhaps something stronger! What ideas do you have?
great work.. some trailer sailer how to vids would be great.. hardly anything online..

Had to Google that, it came up as "Make the swamp great again"! I get your drift. :-)
Very pleasant to view!
Thanks Roy. Glad you enjoyed it.

Changing from seventies colours gave her a new personality
Your great vid desperately makes me want to get back there, beautiful area it is.
I'm thinking about Magnetic Island next. Do you know that area?

Thanks
Enjoyed your VID... I'm in Sydney and plan to do the exact same trip, hopefully this June / July. Cheers Col
You should!

+Sailing Moonlight I’m thinking Magnetic Island might be next. Any suggestions?
Thé way you mounted the solar panel on a pole at the stern looks great. I might do the same on mine.... kindest regards!
Simple and lighter than a bar. Can be directed anywhere. Uses ties to keep it stiff.

+Ray Davies just back from 5 days away. Ran lossless on solar with fridge running flat out. Only used solar, no motor boost.
Nice work mate. Mozart looks so much at home in the Qld water.
Seems I am heading to Magnetic Island - thinking of leaving Thursday. You are up that way I think?
Sailing Moonlight yes mate. I’m on the mainland from Maggie. Would love to catch up.
Sorry if you’ve covered this question previously. Doing extended trips, do you use antifoul on your trailer sailer?
2 pack polyurethane is virtually self cleaning.
Hoping to do similar when we get out of jail in Vic on our Sonata (not “Moonlight”),thanks for posting, inspirational for us-Peter
+retepekooc hopefully soon. It seems things are improving. It has been a hard time for you.
+Sailing Moonlight hoping to post the next instalment tomorrow. Hervey Bay to Wathumba.
Put in a tack for me tomorrow, fair winds
+Peter Cooke sure will
+retepekooc It seems that things are starting to ease up in Melbourne now. I hope to see you back on the water soon.
