The roots of the Aussie tradition go further than puck or hardcore right into the proto-punk heavy rock that was in Australia in the early ‘70’s. The band carrying forward the Sharpie culture (look it up for those who know not) - the mullets, the K-mart fashion.... but the tunes remain strong. Lobby Lloyd is the direct influence on this form of Australian garage rock. We the. Go to AC/DC (Lobby Lloyd produced some of there work) right up to grunge with the Cosmic Psychos who were a key inspiration for the Seattle scene. As always us Aussies our geographical isolation definitely “pull our weight”!
Wow, I was around in 77 and the atmosphere was amazing, this band have hit the original punk sound spot on when so many other bands have failed but just being pop. Incredible gritty sound with Joan Jett style vocals. I dont bother too much now with the punk scene but I did purchase this album because it's bloody tremendous.
I saw a heap of ripping bands at the Croc, didnt know they had live music there again but I moved south of the CBD 10 years ago.70's were great days for live music in Melbourne.
@demisoft lol you're probably right mate but us old buggers preferred the late 70s when our knees still worked!! Saw this bunch in London last year absolutely superb from start to finish!
Have you heard her amazing collaboration with Sleaford Mods? The beat is something else,so great seeing quality post punk coming out of the UK.& Aus again x
The best quality this band has that pulls me is not the arrangement, sound or lyrics or anything related to music. It is the Zero f**ks given that is over the top! With all the bullsh*t that has been going on for almost a year with everything around us, and I will expand over the last 6 years and its personal, this is a dose of fresh air!
Never felt so much energy from a front in my puff...................I have seen some great bands live but this girl is on a different scale and the band compliments her well............best band 21st Century for sure
These cats NAIL genuine punk. The real spit of 1977,pogo me benches. Hella musicians, keep getting better. They're channeling everyone, yet sound like themselves. We even hear a dash of Exene Cervenka now and then. Most fun from a band in years. Thanks
Holy crap these are great 👍 to see this raw energy in music again is amazing..remind me of being a kid/ young teen in the mid- late 70' s when punk broke & seeing the late great Poly Styrene & X Ray Spex for the first time..believe me thats some compliment 👍
Son pocas las bandas actuales que tienen buen sonido, buen vocalista, buenos músicos y sobretodo buenas letras, ests banda las cumple todas, me hice fanático de ellos hace poco y no paro de escucharlos
A truly arena worthy performance. You all look awesome, sound perfect and definitely stepped things up quite a bit with that one. Videos have been few and far between lately. Can’t wait for the next album and the next USA tour. Those are also some rock hard looking abs you have there Amy.
Corey UA-cam Channel Good point. Was just saying it was as good as anything I’ve ever seen in such a setting. Would much rather see em in a club taking part in amy crowd surfing over me and watching em with my elbows resting on the stage as I did last year.
Randy Thomas & the Insecures First time I’ve ever clicked on a “Check out my music” link in a comments section that turned out to be actually worth clicking on.
I’m so addicted to this band, even the most amateur of footage on this band is gangster..that’s what timeless authenticity looks smell feels and sounds like🔥 Muhahaha 😈 Do you taste it👅
I grew listening to UK punk in the late 70s. This is like deja vu. The exact same angry, fuck you and fuck right off energy we all thrived on back then. Love it.
AMY WHEN I RACED OUT TO BUY THIS I BROUGHT IT HOME AND FLIPPED THE VINYL TWICE. COMFORT TO ME IS FUCKEN BRILLIANT FROM 1ST TO LAST..THIS SONG WAS MY FAV STRAIGHT OFF... FROM SOUTH AUSSIE YOU FUCKEN ROCK 😊
"Rock at the Crock", Croxton park hotel, I had two phases there, late 70's and early 80's as a teenager and in the 90's trying to hook up at the over 28's after a divorce.if you go back 40 odd years you would hear a similar style of music, sticky carpet and a few fist fights thrown in to boot. They were good days, everything old is new again.
She was born for that stage
Watching this (and their other material), I feel I've gone full circle and ended up back in '76 , and it's all good
Your thinking Wendy O
She's got the souls of Chrissy Amphlett Wendy O and gg Allin
@@matthewcoase8763 YES!....just need a few chainsaws.

people keep comparing this group to 70's bands...no this is a 2020's band, and there's no greater time to be alive than now.

I'm a 97 yo punk and I really got to say. I haven't seen this much energy in a band since I saw the ramones play there first show in 1974
Getting "Raw Power" vibes from this! 🤟🏻
Kinda "Bondage up yours" vibe for me
