A cure came around in 1950, 9/10 incurable cases were cured. The sciencist who invented the cure was mysteriously killed and all his work was destroyed. Was trying to find a link to this but Google has really sensored the information avaliable on literally anything now.
If we ever become a space fairing species, this technology will come very handy if not essential. Further research on this I would say, is money well spent. Important added benefit, meat without animal suffering.
You should, lol. Anything grown in a lab like this to replicate meat should need to go through rigorous, multi-year, preferably decades-long studies to see what side effects there are on it's consumption.
@@Xellot you probably had fruits and vegetables and possibly some type's of meat like some kind of rare type of fish and other sea creatures that didn't have any studies on it and you didn't care why suddenly lab grown meat is bad ?
I mean it is going through extensive testing there is a reason I cannot buy it yet so I am happy enough that when it is made available it won't kill me
I mean, all it's really doing is growing the cells themselves, the only way this could be poison (as in, the product itself) would be if the growing medium for the cells was intoxicated... But if it was, then the cells you know, wouldn't live, they'd die, thus no meat, thus nothing to eat... Lastly (and this is speculation on my part as I'm not that knowledgeable on the particular subject to say this with confidence), it's possible that this might, if anything, be safer since it would likely reduce the risk of infecting humans with other animals' diseases as this meat would be well, lab-grown, in a controlled environment and with human consumption in mind...
If it looks like meat, has the texture of meat, has the flavor of meat and the price of meat, then it's a winning combo. Probably better for us than the majority of fast food anyway.
Our current mass meat production process is probably worse (antibiotics, slaughter, unknown feed, non-transparent). Here there is more control and possible transparency.
I think those companies use plants to make it taste like meat. But, the lab in the video uses cells straight from the animal (stem cells, which turn into any cells). Theoretically, this will allow the manufacturers to get the meat taste easily since it is from animals anyway. It's the texture and the nutrients that will be missing. Cells grow into cells, not into fats, carbs, and proteins. If you think about it, 50% of the work is already done (the taste), and all they need to recreate is the texture of meat and the nutritional values we expect in any meat. Loads of R&D and money would be saved already. So this method of making meat would be far cheaper. 😊
It'll be interesting how they can mimic a meat structure so that it would be indistinguishable. I mean, a steak vs. beef, but put in a blender would give a different texture and a weird sensation. They would have to distribute the fat and protein throughout the meat to make it similar to a normally produced meat. If they can do this on mass production and much cheaper than today's meat, perhaps the number of people in poverty may improve - or at least access to better nutrition. 😊
Beyond Meat and impossible Burgers have got the taste and texture figured it out. But, at $1.00 an ounce, this stuff is going to remain a cute, well-meaning niche product for a long time to come. 🙄
Can we just cure cancer?

Im sure this will help with cancer.
Then where would all that money people pay for? Those poor health care CEOs might need to sell one of their homes.
Why it's difficult just to eat normal natural products?
Who and why wants us to do it?

@@sellotape06wow 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ you must’ve forgotten COVID and all the people that suffer from the so well tested vaccine 👍
Of course it's future. Bio reactors can even produce for example sugars way more efficient. 'Lab' grown meat should be cheaper than common ones.
I really want such meat. But they need to get the cost down.
Interesting 😊
Progress!
What's the carbon footprint for this process
So does that mean the meat has no grisle?
This is not food, this is poison.
Thank you for this thoughtful take

They're cells. Just like meat. This kind of meat production is more natural than vitamins from a tablet or protein shakes 😅
Your brain is already poisoned so who cares
Explain then big man

No thanks, rather eat bugs
you will
More for us then 😋
Total food control. Never
The science is awesome, i think i just became a vegetarian tho
I'll never ever eat that artificial foid.

Never.
Aren't similar products sold in most supermarkets and restaurants already (i.e. Beyond Meat, Impossible, etc.)?

no thanks, I'll eat real chickens
Vile, absolutely vile
what you’d rather eat chicken pumped with hormones and antibiotics? On paper this is a far better alternative.
Explain your thoughts
@@Teebs131 I'd rather eat grass fed organic beef. This kind of lab grown food is so bad for human health.
No
The matrix: Amino acids 😅
No chance, I want real animals
No!
Nope. No thanks
Zombie after

Biodiversity of bacteria will be limited then . Our immunity will be compromised.

Crazy I not eating it
THIS WORLD SYSTEM IS NEARLY OVER.
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND!
ST JOHN 3:16! ❤
Eat this and see what happens once you run out of vitamins and other micronutrients...
Do your research, you big ol' goof. Those things can be - and are added - the same way bread is enriched.
This is such a bad thing for human life - how anyone could endorse this in anyway completely beggars belief!
