Plugged my AI hose, and did a Hunterworks muffler tip. The less restrictive tip not only made a noticeable improvement in power, but the the whole rear deck runs cooler (the exhaust winds close under the rear deck). All it cost was was whatever the exhaust tip was. My '22 XTR has been running perfectly for ~1K miles, in various challenging terrains and altitudes.
@@carlosandrade7439 I think a stock Yamaha clutch runs 18gram weights. I’m running stock size tires. The 22 gram weights engage the clutch faster at lower rpm, that way your machine isn’t screaming in your ear. You do lose a little top end, that doesn’t bother me much I’m more of a exploratory rider than a racer. If you reach out to Weller and tell them what you have and what your looking to achieve they are great at helping. Hope this helps
After running it for several hundred miles, I would say it's still too F'ing loud. Not fully sure if it's any more quiet. It does run WAY cooler for all occupants of the vehicle, especially those in the back.
I can't say how much the ECU can make an adjustment for that and still get the air/fuel mix within range. You'd have to ask Weller. I would assume they can tell you from the dyne results that must have done before they developed the flash.
I ordered the stuff from them. They offer a kit with everything. Tuner, tip, weights. $675. Top end 78. Not noisy. Sounds great. Huge improvement from stock. Stock i hated this machine. $675 I kinda like it. Still slow as hell but oh well. At least it doesn’t sound like 90,000 pieces of metal vibrating now. To put into perspective how unbelievably slow this thing is I have the two seat LE. I also have a 2019 Polaris ranger XP 6 seater that is 100% stock other than an ECU flash from Gilomen. Top speed was 57 now it is 83 and it runs and sounds amazing and will absolutely just drive away from my rmax at any speed. So it’s 600lb heavier utility machine and makes this rmax look stupid.
I just did the same I was in Arizona on vacation. I took my computer they juiced it with the weller tune and I bought the tip and block off plate. I did the 22 gram weights in my first 200 miles I owned the ma nine. I have to agree sounds much better and runs a lot smoother.
I would have no idea how to prove what the mileage is because the terrain is always different. But we used to used a full tank on a full day ride and now we use only 3/4 of a tank. So it seems to get better mileage, but I have no idea how to quantify that.

I noticed it's much cooler as well. Back seat passengers would complain about the heat before and that's no longer an issue which is nice.
I did the 22 gram weights next time I will do 23 gram. Now I want the tune! Thanks for sharing
Pardon my ignorance, what’s the purpose for those weights? I have 32” tires on the machine, would changing the weights help with lost power? Thanks

@@craigr6763 Yes, 18 for RMAX2 20gr for RMAX4
Good tip, I want it to quiet down while we're trail riding. I find the noise pretty excessive and don't need more than about 60 MPH.
I’m in the same boat I do more slow mountain scenic driving I hardly ever break 50mph
I wonder if these upgrades will work with my 2024 Wolverine X2 1000 r spec? It runs at about 206-210.
Adding the Wellar exhaust tip, does it make it less noisy? Thank you

With the TIP all you're doing is lessening the exhaust restriction, do you really need the Flash ?

Contact weller about changing your clutch weights you can get that top end back
I was wondering if that might be the issue. Thanks for the heads up.
