Unforntunately Nobel peace price is of limits to a nation or a state. As I don't like Andrzej Duda his participation and mandate from the people od Poland (he is the only guy there that is elected by majority of voting Poles) could be recognized as an ambasador od deeds done by the Poland.
It's "better to give a nobel peace prize to somebody" who facilitates, encourages, mediates and is successful in achieving a lasting peace between adversaries ,than to a someone who fuels the war and criticizes anyone, who would like to end the conflict
After receiving this award, will I be able to park in spaces marked as "Nobel Laureates Only"? They are, for example, at the entrance to Harvard Medical School ... No more chasing from the end of the parking lot? Life would be beautiful... 🙂
As soon as the current government starts to change Poland back to an unquestionabe democracy, I would agree with that. Now it merely looks as a diversion from what they have done with the judicial system and the state of the free press in Poland, at the same time as they got a lot of able bodied people to supplement the Polish workforce. The Nobel peace prize is not the right form of recognition for the current situation, but it is nice to once again be able to be proud of being Polish.
