had to come here years later to watch it again... The Lich King was the best villain WoW has ever seen and his raid did everything about him justice...holy fuck i love getting goosebumps from watching this
17:55 Always loved and admired how Arthas is the one NPC who admits that your raid is "The greatest fighting force that the world has ever known" Throughout all of WoW, you character is always doing so much heavy lifting, and yet is always in the shadow of NPCs. Arthas is the only one to ever really acknowledge the skills of you and your friends. The raid came out in 2009, and I can still remember my chest swelling with pride when I heard that line during our server-first kill of Arthas :' )
***** If I'm correct, feel free to correct me lol~ wasn't it if you got to like... 20-15% or something like that, it was a wipefest? been some time since I've done that...
yep good days. Hes wrong about the Lion and the lambs however. They do fear still which is why they are beating the lion to death. They are scared if they stop the lion will escape and bring back friends. The lambs will always fear as its Instinct that drives them to fear. national geographic and nature planet best times .
Still the best WF kill and video of a world first kill in wow. Don’t think that’s gonna change. The music and the in game voice cinematic gives me the fucking chills!
Watch this and then remember Elwynn Forest, its streams, meadows and lakes, and the music... like a far distant land of innocence. This really was a world you could leave your soul in.
"The light will abandon you heroes. Just as it did.... to me..." I really feel sorry for arthas. actually felled a tear. What a great and sad story this is. The best until now
I'm 6 months late but if you wanted an answer: it means that the lambs (the players) should be scared for their lives before the lion (The Lich King), however Arthas is shocked and horrified to find that they don't fear him, it's the opposite, they fight with all their might never showing any reluctance. I think it's at this moment he realises he's defeated.
That's not it at all. It's actually because of team differences. Many didn't want to move to International. And so they've parted ways, some Most of them are still going to be playing - just on different servers. Also, on the point of disappointing raiding and content. WoD had tons of content beyond the shitty garrisons. Mythic was challenging and many big guilds took ages to finish their mythic runs. There was far more to WoD than people give it credit for - but the bandwagon states "lets hate WoD" so people jump on.
+Pokerit Erm... the best part about HotS and HS is that you DON'T HAVE TO SPEND ANY MONEY ON THEM. You're just one of those Blizzard naysayers though. Nobody asked for your cent anyway. Keep it, use it to get a life. :)
Man, and I just quit WoW in January of this year and didn't even hear about Paragon breaking up until I read the comments here. It's almost symbolic 😢😭 I love this game with all my heart. I don't know why this game really hits its players with much more nostalgia and force than any other game, but I will miss everything about it. Early 2004-2016 my life was invested into a game who's memories wil be everlasting.
One of the greatest moments in video gaming ever. This whole video is just amazing. The music, the vocals, the skill of the players for the time period, the epicness of the storyline, the moment of defeating the lich king.
+Daperdator HFC is one of the better raids I've down. Just... not hellfire assault. Unless on mythic, Assault on mythic was fun the first few times. Beyond that nearly every fight was fun, and didn't feel as boring as half of ICC (Frost/plague wings)
+FatherMischief Sadly there was a time when it was great, but from my POV Lich King was the last raid that was awesome ....all released yill now is fckn sheit....
+Myrmidon No. Arthas was drawn to Frostmourne by revenge. He was guided by the dreadlords. He was warned when they found Frostmourne that it was cursed, but Arthas was so swelled with revenge that he took the Frostmourne, and soon was guided to the top of Icecrown where he merged with Ner'zhul.
+Myrmidon Even if his intentions were good, killing his father and then Uther (followed by many others) before even coming close to the Lich King's domain, is kinda, you know, messed up. But w/e. He is YOUR hero i suppose.
Myrmidon Well he obviously didnt kill them before he took up frostmourne, but he did that before he became the lich king. For all intents and purposes, he was already a pretty mean spirited guy. Arrogant, reckless and so consumed by vengance that he laid waste to his entire kingdom in the end. And that was before he even became the Lich King. Saying that he "contained" the Lich King is to me a really strange thing to say, BUT i understand where you are coming from. I do. But nontheless he was a servant of the scourge. If he was still in his own way trying to help Lordaeron, he failed miserably. 1. Ruined the kingdom, more or less. And personally saw to the destruction of most of Quel'Thalas. 2. Killed almost all of the Silver Hand Paladins, and effectivly dismantled the Order. (Why would you annihliate an entire order of the most effective undead killers out there if you were trying to save your people) 3. Saved the LK from being destroyed by Illidan. So there is that as well, lol. Anywho, i kinda understand what you are saying, but i'm just being picky.
Ive never heard so many voeels uttered together in all my life(Finnish language). From all the shouting from 16' onward you'd think the Soviet Red Army had been driven from Finland a second time.
Sadly I was to young to Experience this WoW Expansion. I Started with The Ending of Cataclysm/ Beginning MoP. It looks like it was an Honor to fight him back these Days :) Congratulation for all the people who killed him^^
I like how Terenas says the same speech every time you go into frostmournes room. "You have come to bring Arthas to justice?! Well first you MUST escape Frostm-" "Dude, we were just here like 40 seconds ago. Don't you remember?"
I've watched this killvideo so often, that I always associate the soundtrack with it. I always forget that it's originally from the Transformers movies. It fits so well to this video
Nothing will bring back the feeling of the old days except the old days. That is how time works. Things change and you can either accept that change and have as much fun as possible or be resistant to those changes and be absolutely miserable. The choice is yours. There is just as much of a chance at stopping change as there is at stopping time.
this was truly the greatest boss fight in all of wow. i remember watching this when i was younger and really feeling like i was witnessing history in the making, Paragon taking down the Lich King.
arthas is dead nut nerzul is still in the lich king armor (helmet) what bolvar has on him nowdays but we are never going to kill them cuz there is always haft to be lich king
The thing is that Bolvar is supposedly able to control himself even under the control of Ner' Zul (I don't understand how he does). That makes no sense to me though.
When I watched the original 10-man world first video to try and get the fight down I found it absolutely hilarious that it's impossible to complete the boss at appropriate level/item level without wiping. Truly, the most epic boss in all of Warcraft history.
Quite honestly the hype at the time, Arthas, this fight, all of it.. I don't think we will see something quite like this again for a long long time. Just the pure epicness and the incredible lore you know you face when you finally meet him on his frozen throne. Still, almost ten years later, this fight remains my most memorable video game moment. Just Incredible.
The point is that he was supposed to be stronger and scarier and more powerful than the heroes, but they just refused to die and refused to be afraid of him.
There's something just so... Pitiable about the Lich King's death animation, how he falls to his knees gasping and heaving in disbelief, reaching futilely for the Helm of the Dominator as it falls to the ground and rolls away from him. Makes me sad.
Just watched this having been posted on Blizzard's "history of WoW" page and man the end. the feels are real. amazing to this day that 20 minute long fight was held together. i only dreamed back then to be a part of a guild like this! amazing job not only on the Raid team that completed this first, but on Blizzard for making such an amazing encounter! Bravo!
Ive never heard so many vowels uttrred together in all my life(Finnish language). From all the Finnish cheering from the 16' onward you'd think the Soviet Red Army had been repulsed from Finland once again!!!.
Ah yes. The good ole days.. I remember when I started playing.. The day I hit 70, the prepatch and talents came out for level 80. Although Cataclysm was when I was in my prime. This expansion was probably my favorite. So fun!!
came back for the nostalgia, not disappointed. FUCKING TIMELESS. I'm having a nostalgic emotional breakdown right now, those sorta feelings. Fuck. This video is a drug for nostalgia.
So I've been here for about 30 minutes now, constantly replaying the last 4 minutes of the video. This whole era, the story of Arthas, the music, the fucking dialogues... Everything is so epic and poetic. It might be weird to say, but it gives me some of kind of hope about everything in my life. God damn I miss those days.
"Tell them only that the Lich King is dead.. And that WoW died with him..." Am I cool yet? Seriously though, I've lost count of the amount of times I've read this, WE GET IT, GEEZ
***** He never implied you're a noob, but at level 100 it is considerably easier (as you hit harder like he said 500k+) but If you try it on a level 80 toon it might be a little harder, because you don't hit as hard... People these days..
***** how can you be so dumb i couldn't understand really .. he just said that you need try to kill him at lv 80, because they played at Lich King not in Wod.. At lv 80 you cant even kill a single mob in this Instance at hard mode.
WotLK is the best expansion in my opinion. We saw great guilds rise and fall. Today blizzard is still trying to replicate these raids. Thats how amazing these are. But, they should never be repeated, they were the first and should be the last so we can always cherish the great memories doing the best fights. This is the first expansion they added more complex fight mechanics than just stack out of the fire, and kill adds. required great amounts of teamwork that sadly we will never see again. What a great raid. great memories

This still gives me the chills... The voice acting in this bossfight is just fcking phenomenal. A majestic finish to a such a epic story.
"THE LICH KING, MUST FALL!" "APOCALYPSE" and so many more gave me chills..
Icecrown was quite literally the pinnacle of World of Warcraft.
Best IceCream I've ever tasted T-T

Almost 2020 here to say RIP Paragon. One of the greatest guilds to ever play the game. Thanks mates for the memories! 🙏
this was truly the greatest boss fight in all of wow. i remember watching this when i was younger and really feeling like i was witnessing history in the making, Paragon taking down the Lich King.
It is 6/16/2019 and this is still by far the best kill video ever. Truly an epic fight and video.
I wish Arthas/Ner'zhul would still be alive. IMO this is a legendary character of the WarCraft series and it totally killed it for me when he died.
i know the Lich King is my favorite charackter in wow and warcraft. It kills me to watch this
arthas is dead nut nerzul is still in the lich king armor (helmet) what bolvar has on him nowdays but we are never going to kill them cuz there is always haft to be lich king

i dont understand that too arthas came "bad" cuz of the lich king armor (helmet) so why it doesnt effect to bolvar that all can just think

This is still the best raid/boss kill video, the sound clips, music selection, everything is just awe inspiring. Love you Paragon! Thanks for this!
terenas have the most amazing voice ever
"WE NAMED HIM DRANOSH!!!" The person who wrote this, man ... that was so touching ... the feels. Great job (:
Epic fucken moments. I love when first kill vids are made properly with RP in them. I could watch them over and over, like the Kil'Jaeden world first.

Goosebumps to this day watching and hearing this (especially all the emotes and the music)
Best WOW-related boss fight video to this day. The intro, the score, the voiceovers, the cuts to different player perspectives, everything is perfect.
Still the greatest killvid in WoW
I haven't played WoW in 3 years and I still watch this from time to time because it's epic beyond words.
When I watched the original 10-man world first video to try and get the fight down I found it absolutely hilarious that it's impossible to complete the boss at appropriate level/item level without wiping. Truly, the most epic boss in all of Warcraft history.
Yes, but how many bosses did you ever fight where wiping was a necessary stage in the fight?
Still badass as fuck.
The way his father, his first victim, helps us defeat him. Just epic.
Legend says Usso is still taunting. This still gave me chills and shiverings after all those years
2019, i did this fight ten years ago, and this video is still stirring up some serious emotions
Still the best WF kill and video of a world first kill in wow. Don’t think anyone can steal that throne. Paragon, I salute you!

"Now I stand, the lion before the lambs..."
nah, more like the pinata before the kids armed with bats and slingshots
I know this was a joke, but he was right. He was the lion, he was the most powerful being in Azeroth, just not powerful enough.
The point is that he was supposed to be stronger and scarier and more powerful than the heroes, but they just refused to die and refused to be afraid of him.
This is the Most epic Video Ever Made. I still watch This in 2019.

***** He never implied you're a noob, but at level 100 it is considerably easier (as you hit harder like he said 500k+) but If you try it on a level 80 toon it might be a little harder, because you don't hit as hard... People these days..
Skorpion112 do not feed the trolls
Legends say:
That Usso is still taunting in 2019
still watching this after all these years, most epic video, even up to this date.
2020, still watching the greatest moment
I still come back and experience once again this legendary moment. 2019!
That ending still gives me chills
