I asked about what carts the city was going with next and the guy said they just got another 4 year contract with rehrig. It is not me operating the truck i was trying to get a video of the smoke coming out and the new clamps that the truck had.

Most of those old cans were perfectly good. I wonder if they'd let me take an old can if I were to plan a visit.
wow that sucks! rehrigs for another 4 years, you know they are probably going to stick with them for a long time because rehrig doesn't cost as much, and has somewhat good quality, (to me nahh rehrigs suck) and fit the amreps.
I was so mad I couldnt go this year. Great pics! I love the picture at 2:37. The green rehrig in focus with the glow from the light around it actally looks really cool along with the rows of carts to either side. Another 30 green LA ssi like mine! And the green SSI with otto wheels is something I hadnt seen before. They sure have a lot of 30 ssi in the yard! They all look brand new too!
I was there! I have a picture exactly like the one at 5:32. I think I might've seen you in the cart yard. I'm the one operating at 6:09!

This is amazing! I would love to have an LA zarn sometime! You are very lucky to get to do this! Sucks that la is rehrig again. They need somthing else.
Wait then the value of rerhighs go up because they will slowly die out but I would LOVE if La did Otto and Rehrig-Pacific bins
@3amrepmike3 Are you going to go to any of the other open houses? I think all of the 30 ssi that i saw were from germany except for one of them.

Nice, it fucking sucks that Rehrig will be around for another four years. At least there are a bunch of new fully autos, I really hate the NBs lol.
@ASLman237 Yeah I agree, however I like them more since they are not as common as the NB, I still hate them though.

My High school in HB had a green Zarn and an black otto wheelie when I was a little kid. It was so weird because back then Huntington Beach was manual, so someone at the school must have been crazy enough to snag a couple carts for recyclables. I always was obsessed by them. I used to think LABOS bought wheelies, zarns, and rehrigs because they fit the Amreps better than the toters and rotos. I clearly did not know much back then lol.
Poor old oTTo s first loved and known for quality then fucking rehrig douches swoop in and kill them :( OTTO LIVES ON IN ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!
