Hot damn he is gorgeous....I watched Miami Vice back in the day (I'm 48 now)...it was my favorite show, not because it was a good show, but I just liked to sit and stare at Don Johnson the whole time, and the music was awesome :)
oh man this interview, miami vice, and the decade bring back awesome memories. I am sure i am not alone in saying if i could relive the 1980's i would in a heart beat. a kick ass decade for sure. proud to say witnessed it and the show as well. Johnson is the man!! blessed be to all here. VICE forever i say!
@Simpad No, this would probably have to be fall, 1989. They're obviously referring to his still yet unborn daughter Dakota who was born late in that year. Also, i think he must've gone back to shorter hair right away. Another hint is the host mentions MV was still airing first-run in the UK. The country picked the show up a bit later, so it aired a season behind the American episodes.
He's got some profound things to say about drinking and drug abuse. It's interesting in hindsight that he didn't stay with Griffith, and how her career didn't go anywhere. It also seems like he really tackled his addiction before losing his second family. I think he's an interesting guy.
I don’t know whether he left her of if she left him. It seems that at the end of their marriage Don was falling back into alcohol abuse, so it may be that she decided to end the marriage. But thankfully it seems he has been clean for many years; he’s been married to his current wife for 25 years but is still friends with Melanie. He stays busy with acting jobs and his family, and Melanie seems to stay busy with her children and her own projects even if she doesn’t seem to be acting these days.
Oh. My. God. He is so gorgeous -- it is ridiculous how gorgeous he is........Puhleeeease!!! It hurts my eyes to gaze upon him too long!!!! WOWZA!!! Though I feel a bit odd leaving this kind of comment when he is talking about such a serious subject. But DAMN!!!
Aww, too bad MV went down the tubes around Season 5... It would've been kinda cool seeing a 6th or 7th Season, especially because IMO Don's hairstyle is better here than his Season 5 hairstyle, i'm guessing this is how Crockett's hair might've been like this if there had been a Season 6.
@5eurocups2005 I love a good many S5 episodes. I know it was an 80's show but i love MV so damn much and there's never been another show quite like it. I personally think it could've and should've had at least a 6th or 7th Season. Juat because i love the darker feel and Season 5 did start kinda late. Overall i write it off as destiny. It's just how things played out. Some blame them trying to spice things up in S4 by marrying Crockett to that rock star-turned pop singer Caitlin.
@5eurocups2005 Season 5 had some good episodes. More than Season 4 especially. IMO by S5 hardly anyone cared; Especially guys like Michael Mann and Dick Wolf. Law & Order was something he was already planning right after Season 4 and episode six was actually filmed as a pilot for CBS, and that was late in MV Season 4. The budget also seems tighter in Season 5. But i still overall like it.
@Supertron5000 i thought S5 was good on a consistency level, i really like episodes like the "Cell Within" "Victims Of Circumstance" "Line Of Fire" "Jack Of All Trades" and i particularly enjoyed "Borrasca" which starred Brion James who was excellent, obviously "Freefall" is a great episode but my favorite's got to be "Fruit Of The Poison Tree" which was a very meaningful interesting episode.

TV-AM- Not GMTV, pls don't confuse that affront to television with the mighty Egg Cup House.
Aside from that thanks for the clip.
