Brighton have sold all of their best talent season upon season and arguably had an injury record equalling that of Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool this term - being without most of their best attackers in March, Mitoma and Ferguson etc for massive spells. De Zerbi will do well at a big club. Just like Pep, he needs top quality players to play the way he wants to play. That current Brighton squad, especially with injuries, just can’t do it. Bayern have the players and the budget to build a squad that can.

You often see with managers when a 'boring, defensive' manager leaves, a charismatic, attacking new manager will have sudden, immediate success when they come in. Martinez at Everton got enormous credit for the way Moyes's team played when he took the brakes off a bit. De Zerbi got massive credit for the way Brighton played. As time passed, both teams lost their solid foundations and became too easy to beat. The last thing Utd need right now is a manager who can't organise a defence.
