Great and most valuable tutorial. I always enjoy tutorials from RadiologyChannel. Learning a lot too. I am a neurologist, but I often take a look outside my speciality when possible. Thanks a lot.
so if the left heart border bulges in left atrial englargement why do they say that straightening of the left heart border is a sign of left atrial enlargement/MS
+tashra01, hello, if your Q is why straightening and why not convexity, then I guess it's called so because left heart border is s'posed to be concave and the loss of that normal concavity is termed as straightening in the initial stages of LA enlargement. Thanks.
Oh my knees get swollen my thighs are probably swollen but I don’t know since they are fat anyway. But around my knee is like fluid does it have anything to do with my enlarged left atrium. I’m also having chest pains.
I have an enlarged left arterium of my heart they found it an ekg yesterday. I see a cardiologist on july 23rd. I thought I would get my blood test results today but didn’t
@@sandilobianco6734 hey... at the hospital they ran couple test and said that it was a false result i got from the previous test... but i do have a stress test schedule for next month... after all i been tru pass couple months i've stopped drinking & smoking & started exercising also trying to eat better... since then i've been good... i also got magnesium glycinate and have been taking it... seems to help over all i guess for me...
@@travissingh6090 I hope your stress test goes well. Good job with getting back to eating better and quitting bad habits. How did you stop with the liquor + smokes? I need to stop my addiction to sweets.
I got my blood test results since I watched this I have a UTI thursday morning is my last pill that will be 10 days of taking antibiotics. My vitamin D and B was low so taking more vitamin D taking a women’s multi vitamin that has vitamin B, my cholesterol is slightly high but other than that and the heart condition there’s nothing wrong with me.
Font listen to ekgs people. Apparently I had this along with demand pacing and tachycardia, I have no pacemaker, my resting bpm was 78 so f knows how that's anywhere near tachy, closer to Brady and still way off and following EKG showed no left atrial enlargement. You have to have these actual heart scans to show this
I had an ekg done today and it said i have possible left atrial enlargement... so you're saying that test is more than likely inaccurate when it comes to showing this?
@@travissingh6090 It’s just the ECG results you get often put the computer automatic interpretation at the top and that often isn’t useful. It’s really sensitive to noise and to lead placement. Shivering or shaking can cause noise that throws the computer interpretation off. Go by what the doctor or cardiologist tells you, not what it says at the top of the ECG. Echocardiogram would show anything wrong, and chest x-ray likely would too.
