- Gardening this year has been a battle of heat and bugs! So far I have little to show for my efforts....1 sad green bean, no squash, cucumbers, and tiny "beefsteak" tomatoes (ha ha). But I'm still in it to win it!

Wow. Yes the heat is a whole mess this year. Keep growing Mrs. Jones you got this.
@@TheEducatedNatural Thanks TEN! I hope yours will yield a great harvest above and beyond what you could hope or ask!😇😇
I'm having hell with stink bugs!
Yes the Heat is ridiculous🔥…
The Watermelon vine looks Great…
Thanks for sharing…
Salute!🍃🍃🍃
@@blackgunsandgardens I hope I get something....so far so good!
#relatable big yt channels showing success. but most of us have gardens that look like those low soil pots.
stuff needs to be in amended ground soil not fast drying pots like that especially since you have the property for it.
I live in the city, pots is all I have in the concrete jungle.
Yes, we are fighting the heat for our food 😅
Darn heat and pest.
@OCDishChick Aweful isn't it? Might have to plant in the shade 😎
Thanks for sharing 😊. It is a battle, but you got something growing 🙏🏾
We put up a 40% shade cloth over our herbs, peppers, tomatoes and squash. Also BT thuricide will kill the squash bugs. We're in West TN and it's been a UPhill battle I must say. The sun has been a BEAST!!! At least we have a longer planting season in the south.
Thank you for that....I just purchased a 30% shade cloth....I hope you posted about yours...I plan to check it out and get ideas! Again thanks for sharing
It is very hot here also. I am having problems with the animals taking all of my fruit. I think they are taking it for the water content. We will be fine!!!
@@SheSaid3697 I hope they don't get them all...my strawberry plants all died!
@@JonesTRUTH I am so sorry!!! I didn't get any strawberries this year! I have plans and most of the things I need for changes in the garden for next year.
One year I planted a bunch of tomatoe plants in plastic containers that where not exactly pots. And when spring was over and it got hot they didn't do well. They didn't even produce any tomatoes either. I suspect they don't like every color of plastic that's my nursery is always use black plastic.
I'm thinking a shade cloth would help with the sun and the bugs, I haven't bought any yet so I wonder how expensive it is? I need some badly myself for strawberries .
