Guess what ? I will just stop going out to eat!!! Stay home save money and stop making other people rich !!!!! Home cooked is so much better anyway ❤️
That's true...
Much better. Invite yr Friends.
Home cooked meals are healthy and so many great recipes pit tgete I love to cook cam, preserve its very rewarding and fun
I unknowingly was charged for a 'take out' order. It was noted on the receipt as a 'take out up charge'. I was pissed and didn't go back for months. Recently, I returned and learned that no longer add such a BS charge. My guess is too many complaints resulting in lost customers.
Nobody has time for that 😂
They're charging for convenience. Now they're just making it more convenient to stay at home!
Brilliant!
I haven't been in any of those places for a couple years. They priced themselves out of the market.
Yes!!
California pays for bags. I think that is good. Why? Prevents TRASH!
The government will then raise real estate taxes or create a new convenience property tax, rent will go up too, so people pay for the convenience to stay more at home.
Crazy days..crazy world. I Dont use starbucks EVER..
High prices was all it took for me. LoL
Vote with your wallet folks, vote with your wallet.
I don't waste my money paying for OVERPRICED food and drinks at restaurants.....
I won’t be paying because I won’t be going
I can sit at home with my coffee, food and internet. 😊
Absolutely, me too!
And use my bathroom when ever I want.
That’s the plan they want you to stay home and not feel free
Yep definitely
It's called Keurig with my coffee grinder, nothing better!
We stopped going to McDonald's
McDonald's is becoming more unaffordable anyways. 😁
Third world countries charge for restroom usage. We are there with our monopoly money and known criminals walking around. I use to tell my third world family "my country doesn't do that". Now my country is worse than El Salvador.
They're going to be putting themselves out of business much quicker.
Agreed
Very good. Gone yet ??
They don't care. They are just an arm of the Global Death Cult.
I hope so. Don’t go out stay home and enjoy
They have been charging for public restrooms in Germany for years now. I always knew that communist style thought process would make it here eventually. Welcome everyone to the NEW not great at all United States of Communism!
It sounds like you're describing a communist system! I grew up in a communist country and had to pay for using tables and bathrooms in public.
Communism is slowly making its way to USA....😢
That's probably where we're headed now.
No, that's where we are. How you like it Biden voters?
@@zelinaworden111Politics is a ruse.
I remember pay toilets as a kid. We had to crawl under.
Starbucks regular coffee cup is almost $4 . Complete madness and what a rip off
They are SO over-priced... Their coffee makes My stomach hurt Bad. I'm not paying money to feel Bad. I hope they go out of business.
yyyyYUP
I am in Ontario Canada. There was a Starbucks inside a book store here. One day I got curious enough to go inside. They had their menu on a chalkboard, and I did not recognize any of the names. Also, the writing was in cursive, and poorly done. Anyway, this was years ago, and the coffee started at five bucks. No thanks.
Never buy tgete the coffee I make is much better than theirs. St around 30cents a cup
A large coffee at Starbucks’ blue collar cousin aka Dunkin costs $6… I’ve never drank so much water as I have in the last year, so silver lining I guess?!?
Fast food has been sloppy and nasty lately 😢
That's exactly why I'm about to grill up a sirloin steak on my George Foreman... And I have an unopened bottle of A1 sauce in the fridge chillin' 😋
@@Ruggins62I agree
Charging to use the restroom? That is ludicrous!!!
Then don’t go to Europe
Everything is charged
They did that in Europe and had an attendant as well. The bathrooms were very clean.
Back in the early 1960s stores used to have a box on the bathroom door to put a dime in to unlock the door.
"Here I sit, broken hearted. Paid a Dime and only farted. Next time I took a chance. Saved a Dime but crapped my pants."
@@Panzer4F2 That's hilarious!
I see why.. Businesses will go out business....
Charge me for the restroom, no thanks, I'll just relieve myself in your parking lot!
😂😅😂
If you have to go and charge to use the bathroom, than I won’t ever use that establishment ever again!
Piss aroni the San Francisco treat
There might be a law made against that too..?
@relaxationsounds6981 I wish I could even pay to use a restroom sometimes, I work at night driving, in King County, I cant even find gas stations that will let me use their restrooms. Let's just say I carry dude wipes, and where I have to go is where I leave it
People are more hateful and crazy every day.
Our shopping migrants grunt when you say excuse me, from another planet!😮
Yep people unleashing their demons... All my coworkers are bat shit crazy
@maryivanchick4976 you must work at Walmart, they all there look depressed!
Heaven forbid people just make their own coffee at home 😅
No clean up, no employee, no loss
“If you’d like to speak to a human there will be an additional charge of $1.99.” 🤖
😂😂😂
The coffee shop in my communities "downtown" no longer has tables, chairs or even a toilet for it's customers. They had to resort to this because of rampant drug use.
That’s not the real reason.
This will make mobile restaurants even more money. It may cause some people to open up old style restaurants where a person could socialize and enjoy.
I can see why restaurants would change for "table time" especially during their busy time when lots of people are waiting for a table.
Also why are people having "business" meetings in Starbucks without buying a drink? If you are going to use their facility, at least buy a drink/pasty to pay for the lights/electricity. That's how they can stay in business.
I eat out at least three times a week and I have not seen any of this so far. I have noticed during the school year a lot of establishments don't like them in there because they're disruptive and destructive.
What's next, selling tickets to go inside? 😂
Nah, they be charging you $1.99 for every breath you take
I say that as a joke but with how things are heading.... I would not be surprised if its coming in the future.
I bought some La Choy sweet and sour sauce ( I'm looking for a good recipe for it ) some tempura batter, cut up 1 chicken breast into small chunks, cooked a cup of rice and have enough sweet and sour chicken to last a few meals. People can literally find recipes for anything they wanna consume and make it themselves.
Saddens me because I’m a long-haul trucker and I’ve been driving for 31 years and since the pandemic so many of these diners and sit down, restaurants have been going to fast food and closing their dining rooms. It used to be that was literally the only interaction with other people that myself and a lot of other drivers have is to go in and sit down and enjoy a nice unhurrieddining experience and now they’re taking that away from us mental health is rampant among the trucking industry lately and I believe everything going on like you’re saying this video has their part to do with it and making it worse
Get a good thermos, prepa yr coffee, go chill at at rest stop.
I feel for you. Kids these days have no idea what they are missing. Walking into a diner at breakfast and actually smelling the eggs, coffee and steam. I miss the old Woolworth's lunch counters too.
That is unfortunate that there will be a certain portion of the population that will suffer because of these changes, like the distance truckers. I almost always just pick up my drink/food @ drive-thru or exit afterwards. I prefer to eat in my home or in my vehicle, if traveling. It's a different world now, not necessarily better.
Stand outside yer truck with sign that reads FREEconversation
@@rmar1957You completely missed the point. 🙄
Charged just to use the bathrooms, this is outrageous. 😮😮
Behind the alley, dumpster. Where I always go, if no bathrooms or to crowded. When nature calls. Nature calls.
Did you ever think about who would clean it up after an accident?
It's all over the world it's not only in Starbucks it's everywhere
We pay 10 cents for bag in CA too. It’s unbelievable.
I would leave Cali
If this is true the economy is going to suffer people are going to be staying in a lot more
I already do. People who don't like thier home are living in the wrong place. I often stay home for a week or longer. Low cost and peaceful in BFE. Walking or biking around neighboring farms gets me out and about if I feel the urge to travel. LoL
That’s their goal, to shut down the economy and bring in digital currency.
I cannot say I disagree with charging for table time beyond the first 30-60 minutes. That space costs money to the business if other paying customers cannot sit down because you decided to make it your office. The rest of these little nickel and dime charges are BS though.
That would make sense only if the place is busy. Not when there are a bunch of empty tables.
Why can’t they just include it in the food prices and let us keep our dignity? Why charge for a bag or a napkin?!?
Seriously insane! That means no one is going to eat oit or go out anymore!
Do we get to charge businesses for the time we all spend having to wait for service? McDonald’s can’t even get you the right food you order most of the time here. Where’s our money for all the incompetence they provide us ? 😂 ❤
It's the people working for McD.
Vote with your wallet and change restaurants. I have been going to a Wendys restaurant here. The employees are mostly temporary foreign workers, and they are awesome. They get rushes with people at the counter and drive thru, but they operate like a formula racing car pit crew. Not as fancy as the old pizza guys that would throw the dough in the air, but still pretty cool.
That's because they hire Mexicans that don't know English !
I don’t need to buy anything, we have a cooler full of drinks and sandwiches and bag of snacks , we have done this for over 20 yrs and it saves so much money….
People who uses businesses for meetings and not buying anything, would piss me off because that’s a table that a paying customer could sit .
My family does use bathrooms while out but now I guess we go behind the building
All fast food I’m done!! I’ll go to a full restaurant and order a meal to go! They won’t charge me for sitting and waiting at table.
Stay healthy and safe folks.
Don’t blame them for not wanting to deal with teens or people loitering.
Teens and some adults have Neanderthal brains, having flashbacks from middle znd high school, bunch of monkeys in the cafeteria@😮
Bags are free in Missouri. I guess I’m not in the know. I just purchased a whole cow every year and make my own coffee. Lol
I do not use free internet anywhere!
Nor eat fast food or buy stupidly expensive coffee.
I make my own meals from scratch, not premade junk.
I live on ssi. Even before ssi junk food was rare for me.
I like knowing what is in my food.
Fast food is horrible unhealthy and expensive!
Shopping always takes me more time cause I read labels on everything
And try to get farm fresh produce whenever possible.
Now the fruits and veggies are coated in some sort of nonsense that is toxic and can’t be washed off!
GMO is everywhere! It’s nuts just getting basics!
Casey's bought a gas station convenience store in the small town I live in and they immediately remodeled and removed the sit down booths that had been in there. A regular local group used to come in every day for coffee. They are not supportive of the community as they claimed when they bought the place. Very sad
The auto industry has been doing this for more years than even I have been alive.
Pretty soon I expect the salesman to ask if you want a windshield in that new vehicle.
If you miss that monthly payment they will take their windshield back.
Being charged more when it's meal times. I ate at The Ram last Saturday and was floored by the prices!! Looks like I'll be staying home and saving my money. I have my own bags. I eat foods as close to their original form as possible. This world has gone insane. Greed has destroyed many lives.
This administration really drove the nail in a coffin... I'm going to buy japanese house and retire in japan.
México is cheaper than Japan.
they are not finished yet...................
Japan is beautiful. I watched a few videos about people that live in capsule hotels in Japan. Quite fascinating. It would be a good use of the empty commercial space here in North America, but our social problems would make that impossible.
Want to use the restroom in your japanese house? Thatll be $$$$!😮
I live in Vegas. We don’t pay for a bag at our stores or a fee on our cans like some states do. So far we’re good here. I’m lucky all of my grandkids speak Spanish and English so I don’t need a translator. It is annoying to go into Starbucks after school and have lots of young kids in there who have no parents at home so they do come up to ours to hang out. So far I get plastic everything at my fast food places. Thank you for the heads up. I will be watching to see what happens here.
Living in California I was paying deposits then recycling those cans & bottles to get my money back; 10-cents for bags or free if you bring your own; during the c-demic I had to bag my own groceries as to not spread my germs to the cashiers (I didn't have those germs); .... then moved to Las Vegas where their are no deposits, no bag fees no matter how many bags you use (of course, most of the bags are thinner with holes ... but they're free!) ... but, honestly will not pay extra for napkins, condiments, table time ... I just won't eat at those places. World is changing for sure
Sprouts charges 10 cents for a bag .
@@Nancy-qw7uf I don’t shop at Sprouts. Not interested in their organic products or high prices so I don’t know what they charge for bags. Thank you for sharing. Definitely not my store.
Businesses no longer care about your business, there is plenty of other people to replace you.🤔🤨🤧🧐🤓
Spot on can't disagree with you they no longer care about people
The last time I visited friends and family in Norway, McDonald's charged an extra fee to sit at a table (even if it was only five minutes) because it costs them money for cleanse to clean the tables. Also, we were shocked to see that their prices (along with a lot of other things) was TRIPLE the price. Of course we had the food to go. We didn't want to pay the table fee. Also, grocery stores were already charging for bags long before America started doing it.
These same conditions existed in most places in Europe forty years ago.
Next they'll be charging for every breath we take
I don't go to restaurants I prefer to cook at home I tried a new recipes all the time I'll watch on UA-cam as they go through the recipe two three times sometimes and then play it as I do the recipe comes out delicious. I would never stand in line. And listen to everyone before me b**** complain and start fights over a 15-cent new fee. By the time y'all get home
Excellent! Like the way you said that!
It will never fly. No one will pay for this stuff. No one wants to pay for their overpriced slop, what makes them think anyone would pay for internet or table time, or the bathrooms?!
Bringing a foldable table and chairs in public just to talk to others in an isolated world would be radical and obscene. Watch.
People just make coffee at the house, once the place to start going out of business it’ll realign and the market will reset
Thank you for keeping up with everything going on in this world Today
Its REAL OUT HERE!!!
I don’t have a problem with Starbucks or any restaurant deterring people who come in, occupy a table, use free internet and don’t buy anything.
That's fine ! No dine in , no tip ! Sounds fair to me.
I actually agree with charging for table time. I remember going out with my family as a kid and after we're done eating they would sit there for hours and talk and I remember thinking to my self. We can't just do this at home? I understand sitting there for an extra 15 to 30 minutes after but an hour or 2 is just being inconsiderate and you think the world revolves around you
This is ridiculous! If they do that here in Tennessee. I may start just cooking at home. Instead of going out. 😶
I order alcohol by the case from a warehouse before they didn't charge a fee to have your order ready. Recently, they changed me a $3 fee. At the same time, they sent a rebate code to my email for $5 if you order more than 2 cases of beer. Yep, businesses are charging for every little thing, and the reason is because of out of control inflation.
Aludis you bring your own bag
You mean aldis from germany!😮
What will happen when we protest these restaurants for three ridiculous charges
They go out of business. It’s voting with your wallet
It’s actually great, because homeless people are trashing the bathrooms also, bags should be charged, as we don’t need a new bag every time we go to the store. Extra sauces they should charge for, as people grab tons of them and then just trash what they don’t use. We are too wasteful and these are all good things.
I often grocery shop at a store in Indiana that caters to upper class Whites. For about one year the store charged a small fee for bags. I think people complained because that bullshit ended real fast.
Aldi's?
They will bring it back to that store and others like it will be eventually . Trust me. United States is on the decline everywhere and in got a big economy collapse coming where everyone is effected. United States global influence is dwelling with , their dollar is losing value-dedollarization with hyperinflation. Looks like their racist systematic exploitation and legacy of slavery that benefited off is drying up. Nothing last forever especially something they never earned to begin with, off the theft of black people generated on evil
I was in shock when they told me I had to pay 10 cents at Best Buy but you know what... I'd rather have them advice me first than charge me automatically in my receipt
Makes sense. Everything costs including overhead. No such thing as a free lunch. Look at it from the business angle.
I've Seen This Already In Many Places Here In The Southwestern Region Already. The Grocery Chain Store "Aldi's" (A Walmart/SAM's Club Competitor) Has Always Charged For Bags, Unless You Bring Your Own, Plus Shopping Cart Usage Is .25 Cents If You Use Theirs; Which Are Linked Together. This Chain Store Has Always Practiced This Policy Since Opening To The Public In The Southwestern And Southeastern Region For Over The Past Decade...💯💯
Yeah I remember when the Ladies restrooms
used to charge 10¢ just to use the bathroom but that was way back .
If they charge don't use them, it is as simple as that. In fact don't use the large companies at all, use the local guys
I’ll just eat at the comfort of my own place
There are a lot of Denver Starbucks that have closed dining due to school kids hanging out. This started last year.
Surprise!!! I will never go back because I never have been inside of a Starbucks, Walmart, Sam's, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, etc. The time to wake up was 1989!!! 2024 is Too Late!!! LoL 😵💫
Thank God for that saying home aweet home!😮
This was what is was like in Europe in the 1980 1990 2000s. After Y2K it got more like it has been for last 25 years. Most places are shutting down in Europe now. Can’t keep up with inflation. Rates went down three months ago. Many small businesses in Europe have shut down in last month. Charges haven’t returned in Europe yet. But I’m sure it will. 😮
There will be a push back on the whole bathroom thing. I worked first as a curtasy clerk and a janitor. Here in MO no one has to pay for using the restroom. There will be a loss of customers before they are willing to pay for it. The store I am currently work at will decrease or switch to a different plastic bag supplier before they start charging for grocery bags. Mind you.... There might be an increase of people bringing in re-usable bags. I have seen it more often. Though the most often I seen it was when I worked for Schnucks. Lastly.... I am kind of glad there will no longer be a dine in at resteruants. I sort of prefered eating at my own house or with family at their houses. Though I was also fond of dash board dining on the go. It seemed to make things easier for me. However, my family was often times prefering the sit down option. My dad particularly preferes the sit down option. He hates being stuck in the office. My dad is a CPA while y mother is an OT. Both came out of retirement because they could not afford the comfortable life they want while retired.
Well McDonalds started as a walk up. Back to all that. But Wendy’s hasn’t been able to staff so many had just drive up. Not me. I quit going. I am not dipping my fries on dash in ketchup. Not eating a burger in car in my dress clothes. It can change. But not us will follow. We had paid toilets back in 50s and 60s in our airports even. Turns out that really wasn’t a healthy way to operate. And in this day in age, people have changed, imagine where ppl will find ways to cut expenses if it’s back to pay toilets!
Great session on “Paying for Everything “!!
Makes these companies sound "greedy" theyre telling you all they care is about money not the customer.
There will be very few in the drive up either when everyone hears that they are putting bugs in the food!!!
Their putting bugs in the food !!! When did that start and what restaurants
All this BS is why I buy everything on Amazon and have it delivered to my door. These policy will just drive customers away and result ini the closing of their stores. Store that do this kind of shit have lost me as a customer...Me and millions of others...they will go out of busines
I'll believe it, when I experience it.
No seats at local dunkin donuts, anymore.
Never have been to Starbucks, never will either!
Welcome to England 😅’eat in’ OR ‘take away’ prices; WC and WiFi available for paying customers; Use the services, pay for the services, as service charges are reflected in the ‘eat in’ price.
NO ‘free hang out’ places offering just free water and WiFi for kids after school or anyone else, including homeless.
Why would any good business person allow this? Even most shops near secondary schools a limit maximum of ‘3 teens in a shop at a time rule’, often with a sign on the door…this applies just to buy a snack/drink.
Take away areas have very limited, or no seating at all to wait.
Use the facilities - pay for them.
If you don’t want to pay, ask yourself why you don’t want to go and buy your own fresh food, prepare it at home and clear up after yourself. (Sounds like a lot of effort? You want the convenience? …So what’s wrong with paying the staff wages and convenience of someone else clearing up your crap and w&t on someone else’s property?
Why would any business owners allow non-paying customers to use facilities and clear up after them for free? I don’t get it.
I don't use Starbucks. They don't have my kind of coffee ☕.
There's more to life than corporate businesses. Eat at home.
Lol..I don’t do any fast food.
Do we have to pay to use the bathroom at Walmart and target
I got for you. They changed me for delivery on a new couch. 50 dollars. And I'm right by the store.3 mins.
At what price does 51% of customers stop paying for over priced coffee?
YOU MAY HAVE HAD A FREE RIDE WE DID NOT, THEY WILL GO OUT OF BISNESS.
People need to stop eating out
In the end, it all comes down to Benjamins.
Wrong ! They just remodeled 2 chick fil a’s now a server seats you order taken at table. Everything brought to table. For take out only you go to the line!
I don't use those human killing places to eat. I only eat at home. But good for them to charge the lazy teens to sit around
people will not do nothing about it they stand for nothing anymore
I see an opportunity to take all their customers
You try to charge me for using the bathroom and I will just relieve myself in the middle of your floor instead.
Costco never gave bags, not that I can remember.
Its been like that for ages in Scotland.
