About tv series Metsolat was very popular early 90's in Finland, every episode were getting around thirth of finnish population on tv at same time You can find it on youtube, i have watched about 4 times..make me smile everytime. Hopefully we get more finnish maps on console in near futurre Vaara is rocky hill with lots of wood on it Come visit in finland so you could see finnish agriculture...

Have to compliment. Your translations is as good as non finnish speaker will have with google translator. And pronounciation is spot on! Urjanvaara would translate in this case to urjan hill/forested hill. Same "vaara" is also directly translated to "danger". Easy to mix up.
@@fs_dave Kuusela might 1 of the 1st broughtly spread maps. Therr has been few others in smaller usergroups that might have been even earlyer for 22. But Urjanvaara IS the 1st official Modhub and Console map for FS22.
Got about 30hours on this map so far and I LOVE IT….the way they made the terrain “accidented “ plus the heavy snow makes logging in this map SO FUN….I get the point why its really dark in winter: its finland its how it is. But for gaming purposes maybe an update make it a little less dark during winter. Other then that, one of my favourite map ever. And i been playing since fs13.
So you cant translate finnish place names. Vaara is translated more like stonyhill. Or that is what it mens. In northern finland in winter the sun does not show for months and below the horison. north of the artic circle. And south of that the sun shows it self few hours a day. And the sun does not go down in midsummer.
Yep, real Kainuu region is pretty much on that edge between no-day winters and no-night summers and this map shows it so well! Having maybe 2 hours of "daylight" in December where streetlights turn off is just something special. And so far, for my first playthrough on this map, snow feels just about right between "lots" and "just barely manageable" -- as it should be!
Urjanvaara is hard to translate! It means dangerous/brave/wild. Kalajärvi means Fishlake, and Lintujärvi means Birdlake.. I had to ask my friend from Finland.. I really like this map! It reminds me of Sweden.

Yes, it is dark, cold, wet and miserable here in Finland. 9 months of cold and 3 months of VERY cold! And we have drug using teenage girl as prime minister with gang of green hippie minions following her.

nice map my fps seems stable between 55-60 fps which is great with all the trees, but the dirt tracks kinda put me off, the sides of the main roads look like they have been smoothed out but when you get onto the dirt tracks the ditch edges are really rough and hidden by the grass no smoothing out done and if you go off the track a bit you get thrown all over, its almost like a saw tooth edge, this just puts me off but all in all nice map. with a bit more attention given to the dirt track edges i would have played the map
kinda SAD you didn't show off the winters since they are something special for this map? don't you start with 1.500.000,- on the farm manager "normal" mode? and 100.000 on easy and 500.000(300.000 loan) on hard?
Agreed he missed the selling point of the map by not showing off the winter environment. You missed the fact that an easy start also gives the player all the equipment needed to start, a farm with some fields, the 100k along with easy settings, this map just gives the player easy settings, 100k and a good luck pat on the back lol.
As a Finn, I LOVE this map, the details are spot on, well, a few flaws. But this map is the definition of a finnish farming map. Also I have bought the Ponsse Scorpion King AND it's winter so logging is super fun! I may be a bit biased but this is a great map for non-Finns and Finns.
I don't like the sheepfold on this map. Why, in order to unload feed for the sheep, do you have to go inside the building? Couldn't the unloading trigger be located nearby?
Are you the creator of this map? We need an update urgently 😁 First, change the farms on the map so that they can be bought and modified. Second, change the buildings on the farm to usable buildings (cowshed and silo).

it is a really different way to start a map many chances for jobs
