The school I attend has us writing a lot of research essays, making research PowerPoints, and doing other research projects along with daily discussions posts online in response to the teacher’s question(s). After work and overtime, I tend to get home about 6:30 pm and study/work til anywhere between 10pm and close to midnight. On weekends, I might run a few miles, hit the gym, and go grocery shopping, but then I’m back in school mode. Weekend schedule can go from 5am to nearly midnight with maybe a quick nap in there somewhere and maybe lawn mowing or snow shoveling. I’ll admit I can get distracted when I’m frustrated, but I still have no idea how people do multiple classes at once. I sometimes take a day off work just so I can get everything done and catch up on sleep or do some activity unrelated to school (like a party, dance class, or a funeral). When I hear people like you and friends of mine talk about classes plural, it blows my mind. My boss attended the same college as me and said he was getting through his classes the same way I was. A coworker who also went to my college said she _was_ doing the same but got sick of how long it was taking and started doing two at once. She said her grades dropped to Cs and Ds, but she was just ready to graduate already and was sick of school. I can’t tell if it’s the school that makes a difference or if it’s the way you do your schoolwork, but I can’t imagine having homework done days in advance. Are you not reading your textbook assignments fully? The past few weeks, we’ve had to read three chapters per week for the assignments (not including the required additional sources required for homework assignments). That’s about 110 pages per week before two large-point assignments are due. And this class takes it easier on us in terms of workload than any other I’ve had. My previous teacher had us doing maybe 3 or 4 assignments per week. The discussion posts we have to do each day are separate from the assignments and require research too. How are you doing multiple classes? I’m burnt out each week trying to hold onto my As and you look like you’re on vacation, lol. I feel like you’re either a genius who can speed read and retain everything you see or your school goes about homework in a vastly different way.
