They were such a tight band. Everything was so on point- Axl’s voice, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven. They were just incredible! This song came out when I was 17 and it made me pick up a guitar.
The other essential classics to listen to for GNR: Welcome To The Jungle, Estranged, Paradise city (incredible solo), Don't Cry, Civil War, You could Be mine (Terminator 2 soundtrack) and Knocking on heaven's door (live Tokyo version)
@@chrisdennen2894 I have tried to give the list really of the best known to the general public. Because if we add the other jewels, I add Rocket Queen, Nightrain (my favorite), It's So Easy, Mr Brownstone, Double Talkin Jive, Coma, Don't Damn Me, Locomotive, The Garden ahaha (Tokyo 92....good choice...)
Your dad used to play this driving y'all around in the car? If he's available, you should invite him on to share what he considers classics he wants y'all to know.
Axl Rose, for the longest time had the widest range for any vocalist. He has sung notes that would span from the second-lowest octave in scientific pitch notation, F1 on the low end (There Was a Time - from the album "Chinese Democracy"), to a B flat 6 on the high end(Ain't it Fun - from the album "The Spaghetti Incident?"), and sometimes above it. Rose has a lower baritone than Barry White, and can reach higher notes than Tina Turner and Beyoncé even Mariah. That's pretty much 6 octaves.
When any song brings a smile to your face or maybe a tear to your eyes, that means the singer and writer have done their job to leave a lasting memory on your musical soul you will always remember So give them credit where credit is due.
Guns and Roses debut album Appetite For Destruction was the album that took over the best selling debut album from Boston after 11 years at #1... It's a great album, but I credit increased population and Mtv for that accomplishment.
Slash in this video was the reason I picked up a guitar for the first time. Changed my life. Also for live GNR, check out anything from their Live in Tokyo '92 show. Or, their Live at the Ritz '88 show for a more raw performance.
Thanks George and Patrick. One of my all time faves..SLASH blows me away, too!I I really love this video, . ..yes, and it's a good driving tune. The whole album, Appetite For Destruction is incredible. AXL at his best. "Welcome To The Jungle", and "Paradise City", and "Night Train", and "My Michelle". Lol, all of them..🤘🔥
These guys definitely brought lightning and adrenaline- every time. 🤘😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️seeing you guys enjoy this band= Priceless! Thank you. I love Slash too.....we all do.....🎸⚡️
My favorite Rock band. Axl has such a great Voice and Slash is just Slash. 🤘 But, people don't give Steven enough credit. He has great Drumming skills.
Izzy was always right on point w his rhythm playing and Slash was great on lead. I was a teenager when I heard this song on the radio in 87’ and it made me pick up a guitar….
Even if you don’t like GnR, you can’t go past Slash as a guitarist. He is absolute fire on the guitar. My favourite performance of this song, is when GnR were inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame. The pure pleasure on Slashs’ face on the solos is pure joy!
Most people will sit down after dinner and discuss the future of their lives as a family. Where do we go now? So the only difference is that he screams this out. We keep our cool...and we're still alive and together because of it. No slash.
Fun fact: allegedly, towards the end of the song when axle was asking "where do we now" he was actually asking that to the other members and they just ended up keeping it...
Axl has 5 octaves!! I love when you sing (Bro in grey) - you have a great voice. Great reaction guys. Definitely more GNR!! They are bad ass. "Welcome to The Jungle" it's a total anthem. You'll enjoy Motley Crue as well. Another kick ass 80's band. "Kickstart My Heart" "Girls, Girls, Girls (uncensored version) & "Dr. Feelgood".
This was such an awesome reaction. You guys should react to Guns N' Roses - Double Talkin' Jive live in Tokyo 1992! Slash does a crazy solo in that live performance
Axl Rose, the singer, wrote this song for his wife, Erin Everly, who is the daughter of a famous 50's duo The Everly Brothers. Don and Phil Everly had harmonies that were so smooth. Unfortunately Axl and Erin's marriage didn't last. Axl Rose is from a college (Purdue University) town called West Lafayette in my home state of Indiana.
It’s so fun to see people’s reactions to this. I don’t remember how I reacted to it because I have known and listened to this song since I was a little kid. Love your reactions! Subscribing and going back to see if you’ve reacted to other GNR videos. Side note: Slash also started his own band called Velvet Revolver.
Love GNR!! Their whole Appetite For Destruction album fire. Also, their video trilogy of Don't Cry, November Rain, and Estranged is so good and def worth checking out. Great reaction!! 🙂
Guys great job with your reaction to Sweet Child Of Mine from Guns and Roses . Quick side Note about the director of this video is name is Nigel Dick the same person who directed Hit Me Baby One More Time from Britney Spears .
Haha! I was around 12 when this one came out! Such good times! First like grown up rock I really listened too. Slash is an amazing guitarists, glad I got to see him live when I saw him with with Velvet revolver. Big day for me Other good solos: "As you are" by Travis! And anything Jimi Hendrix! Best guitarist ever that's where all this comes from. Also please please please listen to Paranoid Android and Lucky by my favorite band Radiohead! ❤️
Believe it or not this is the intro song to my wedding video. My husband and my song. First dance, Honestly by Stryper. Another Beautiful song to check out.
This song started as just finger exercises Slash was doing on the guitar to stay loose. Axl walked by and asked "what's that?" Then he went and wrote a great ass song for a girl.
Have you done the While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Prince, Steve Winwood, and Dhani Harrison? It is AMAZING!!!!!!! Dhani is the son of George Harrison from the Beatles and he looks exactly like him! Watching Dhani and Prince smile at each other while Prince tears up that guitar is just the best thing ever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This solo is one of the best.
I probably wouldn't put the song in my top 100 favorites, but the solo itself might be my #1 all time.
@@TF-lk6co 3d favorite for me (behind a7x’s afterlife and megadeth’s tornado of souls)
@@Ohokk0 nothing tops the tornado of souls
@@TF-lk6co Yep!
I think it's Slash's best solo.
"welcome to the jungle" is a great one by these guys as well
I never ever need to hear those Songs in my life again😂.
I was 18 , drove my BMW Cabrio , beauty Girl on the Left ... and Guns + Roses full Level on the Speakers .... unbeatable

We're talking solos but this is one of the best vocal performances I've ever heard......20+ years later.
More Guns N´ Roses!!!!!!!!

Civil War is the best song of them, in my opinion.
Regularly cited in the top 10 greatest solo in history.

'Rocket Queen' is one of the best G&R song

Slash and Gilmore both play “old school” style solos. 🎸🎶
I really really enjoy you reactions boys!
Slash played the Michael Jackson live song "Dirty Diana"
CIVIL WAR would blow their minds!! 🤯
I have a rule in my home. No one speaks during Slash’s solo. Momma’s serious about her music. Lol.
You guys need to see them live .. and record your reactions. :)

Wait until you hear late Chris Cornell’s voice! Highly Recommend: Audioslave: Like a Stone.
