Dream car of mine, but missing that dream bank account to get it!
F that slap a LS in there and wide body it!
The irony of advertising it on UA-cam is the number of those watching who could afford this car could be numbered on one hand. The only place worse would be on TikToc
Hit up Blake Wilkey... He'll make sure you fit an LS, and make it stand on the back tires.
I would love to see that sucker with a wide body, modern Porsche 911 Carrera motor and transmission, and some gunmetal grey Do Luck double six wheels on it. I think it would be a fun and fast car.
When he says he called a friend he means he called Dennis 😂🤣
Yup the expert 👍
Richard sounding like a kidnapper with a hostage..." Give me $85K or im gonna butcher it.....i swear i will...." LOLOL
Lol
Best sales pitch ever: buy it now, or else i put a Subaru engine in it...
We're just waiting for the angry mob of purists to form outside of Gas Monkey Garage now 😂
if you don't i would put a 20b in it.....
@@GasMonkeyGarage oh no. the adenoids and thin gold glasses crew......
At least a subie flat 4 would still be a flat engine.
Dennis would have brought it already if it was a keeper.....lol.....Make it unique and dount that bitch........
That dust is not correct for 1980 … looks like 81-82 dust .. 🤣😎
thing is im sure not ALL that dust is from 1980.. even after a year it would still have minimal dust on it. thats many years of dust buildup. should take some of the dust off and put it into baggies and sell it on ebay as a collectors item
@@anonemusly HAHAHA!
Don't be cruel. It's numbers matching dust....
It’s Texas dust though and land is a lot cheaper there than other places if it was nyc dust it would be worth 10x as much at least
🤣🤣🤣
Most important, Richard needs a new beer sponsor.
He’ll be making his own brand .. count on it :)
He needs one fast... before he sobers up!!!! 😂😎
Why isn't he featuring the G.M. Energy drink ?
But he only drinks Miller Light. No idea why they don't sponsor him
too rust free for me,
🤙mustie1!!!!
Got to have a little more weight reduction on’er to be in my taste
Mustie1 is in the house! Next: a Will it run video + how to fix a Porsche with no money invested. Respect!
Ya rocker panels, gas tank, tank support plus plus plus, the front is VERY DUSTED!
Hey Mustie1 !! Fancy seeing you here !! 👍🤘✌
How you scooped your boy DC on this one is miraculous! Dude can smell a porsh 50 miles away. Way to go.
Gonna have to be faster than Triple R next time!
@@GasMonkeyGarage \ Outlaws (Emory family) and their hotrodding history is totally proper... But then again I'm not a purist and kutomize Ferrari's to our own special flavor...¡☆☆☆
Dennis would not be interested in it as it is not a genuine numbers matching car! He possibly put Richard on to it in the first place!
@@johnmoncrieff3034 Really? He didn't say "any 911 in any condition, I'll buy it" in one of his videos? And I bet that 912 with a VW engine wasn't numbers matching either. ;)
haha love this. Richard giving porsche fan boys an ultimatum.
As Porsche owner/enthusiast, I say let him go ahead and do what he wants with it. There are plenty of older air cooled Porsche’s out there, you can go on line right now and find a 1968 911S for $100k, matching engine/tranny, new paint and it’s a running car. You can buy a fully restored 912 for less than what he is asking for this one.
@@cnoone915 see, now, you should have stopped after you said to let him do what he wants...all the rest just makes me remember why I really hate brand loyalists...if it's fast, I dig it. ...if it's an overpriced piece of shit rust bucket, I don't have much use for it...if it's cheap, I might pick it up just to do something fun with it...build a ratrod beach buggy with a hopped to the gills VW engine. ..most would keep it stock, I say that if you can't modify it, it ain't worth spit....y'all have fun now, hear?
What exactly do you disagree with in my remarks? If you actually read what I stated, we are in agreement. He overpaid for a no numbers matching, rusting Porsche that we don’t even know runs. As a Porsche guy I actually agree, it’s not worth restoring this car to original condition, not unless you want to throw your money away. Do a resto-mod and have some fun with it, but you would have to get the car for maybe $25k, it’s not worth more. What I don’t like is his ill attempt to pass this off as a real gem, thinking the Porsche guys are stupid enough to fall for his Shtick and the $85k asking price, he even insults Porsche enthusiasts in the process by telling them to F-off. Here if you don’t believe me on how ridiculous this is, look at this 1968 Porsche 911S that can probably be had now for $100k or less (numbers matching, re-painted and in running order) -

I’d love to see Gas Monkey do this, standard outside but messed with anywhere else
Very awesome UA-cam video man!! Had me laughing at some of your comments you were making love it!

Richard, your TV presence has come SO FAR since the first time I saw you on FNL. Good job.
you dont give a sh3t about the "Experts" .....love it
The bus is on the new frame! Ready for the next episode to drop 🤘
New video dropping very soon!
@Randall Johnson dude they stripped the body off of the brand new truck and put a bus body on it.. I dont think they care about the warranty anymore LOL!
@Randall Johnson I think I heard someone say that as long as the failure is not a result of the modifications than the warranty holds
@Randall Johnson no, it will not...if the modification isn't the cause of the failure, that is....they chose to do it this way specifically because they wanted the drivetrain to be rock solid...you do know that there are warranties on replacement parts, this is just super sized. ..there are race engine builders that warranty their work. ..if there is a failure due to their work, they fix it. ..if she blows while you're givin' 'er da beans, it's your baby...be safe, remain vigilant, and carry a weapon. ..peace....
@@sykwookiee Well I was just repeating what was told to Richard when he asked.
I love the way its "buy it, or i butcher it"
That flat one 🤣🤣🤣 great marketing strategy!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Can't wait too see where this goes. Thanks for the entertainment.
I'd love to see a GMG style porsche with a modern EV motor, crazy torque and cool vintage style
RWB x GasMonkey would sound nice
Saw you on one of Daniel macs UA-cam shorts and your personality is amazing I had to subscribe 💯
Love these upscale VW beetles.
71 - 73 takes it. He wants a number that starts with a seven.
Richard going hard on his reverse psychology. That being said, Joe Rogan needs to buy this.
I like how raw and badass Richard is, heavyd on camera becomes soft and plight, it suits the ROCK , and vin diesel is on whole another level.
I would love to see you build the Porsche, gas monkey builds are always amazing builds.
Keep up your good work Richard I'm always going to give you a thumbs up and keep buying cars and doing your thing baby
DO IT! Hotrod that thing out, as fast as possible!!!! 🍺
One of the best builds ive seen by Gas Monkey was the black Ferrari F40 they had from the show. Some might say that modifying an original F40 was an "unorthodox" thing to do but I loved it. Gas Monkey get super creative with their cars and I wouldn't mind seeing this Porsche having a super makeover.
I swear this is like the adult version of Whistle'n Diesel. 😄
the one time he uses a coaster on a car is the one car that dosent need it lmao
this new format of GMG is awesome, but would be a perfect format for A A ron to come back!
I agree
He left cause he wasn't getting a penny from the show and reruns other then his pay and show pay, he won't ever return.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a car that would suit Richard more than this, please restore and drive daily!!!
Great video!! I miss the show!!!

Richard, why don't you invest in your own recipe for a beer and call it SOLO... lol
Genius marketing - the man with the words.....love it.
You'll just sell it to Dennis!
Moneys money🤷♂️
Dennis won't buy it, as he knows it is a pos.
@@peterobertson2086 more so its not matching numbers dennis bought a 911 filled with sand from a landside this would be a easy buy for him if it was numbers matching lol

LS swap makes them run and actually drive it with out needing a AAA towing card
i think an NA LS, with a trans axle can fit in there ngl
My vote is for the wide body/ Subaru conversation!
I Would Be So Stoked If You Put A Boxer In It. LOL
I want to see an outlaw 🤞
GMG should make an outlaw out of it!
It’s not numbers matching so YOLO
I own a 71t that I originally planned to make into a hotrod, but was convinced by another Porsche owner not to because it is a matching numbers car! I’m so glad I took his advice! If Richard gets $85k for this car, my 71 is worth $150k+
Hope Richard isn’t struggling with a beer sponsor needing some money
Worst and the best ( because it'll work ) sales pitch EVER! 🤣🤣🤣
I thought you’d send it to Barrett Jackson just how it is … sweet car though 👍
Would be very interesting to see what a very rusted WRONG MOTOR “S” would bring! I’d only want to be in it at around $20k
Awesome sales tactic…love your “unchained” content. I hope it sells to a Porsche collector who restores it…if not I’m really digging the idea of an LS swap…GYSOT! And what happened to the beer sponsor? Come on Beer companies get this man a sponsorship stat! And a freaking beer assistant while you are at it.
The LS is too heavy for a rear end motor car. It would be standing on it's bumper the whole time.

69 Porsche: I'm WAAAY Rustier Than You Expected huh ?
Richard: Where's My Salesman Hat ?
The whole lower front, gas tank + rockers look badly rusted+++ what we can’t see! It’s a $30k loser without the “S” motor!
@@danopureblood7066 Richard knows this... AFTER he got trigger happy and wanted to buy " the meme " car before any one else did. He probably tried to sell it to Dennis and that's when he got told..... it's worth 1/2 what you paid ! So Richard said....." let me put on my best salesman hat, and pawn this garbage pile quick, and make it some one else's problem, while I make a profit, so I can go back to Dennis and say HA ! told ya ! " lol. He's starting at $85 but will take what he paid just to get out of it. Actually, he'll probably insist on $56,000 as bottom dollar so he can say he won. lol.
Hell yea
In today’s market a find like that is a major cash cow for a business man😁 not to mention a whole lot of fun along the way. It’s a win win in my book. I’m happy for you brother 👍👍👍
Love what youve done here lol scooby lump for the win 👍
I would have had that car washed in the first 5 minutes of owning it lol that drives me crazy especially being dirty for that long
The thing is, because of the meme, I would have just shipped it as is to Mecum or maybe Amelia Island dust intact. The barn find meme dust actually adds substantial value in today's weird market.
Not a good idea with a barn find it loses it's value
I would clear coat over the dust. Seal the meme
Triple R should do a build for Triple H !!! 👍👍👍
@LagunitasBeer my man needs a beer sponsor
A marketing genius at work! lol.

Way to tease the bus. Damn excited.
Great video
If I had your money, I’d bring it to Singer, and save it from myself.
She’s just asking for a EJ25 with a wide body. 911 WRS
Like the old saying, "you make money buying, not selling"
Richard Rawling love the videos gas monkey garage, I miss your other show restoring struggling garages
I feel if it was really that rare/ a good deal, Dennis would have already bought it off you,
I think he paid to much without it having the right motor/transaxle? It’s a $100k away from being right without a motor? Don’t think a wrong motor 69s would bring $155k?
@@danopureblood7066 with how hot the market is right now, i think if he cleaned it up and made it run, he could get 100k for it at least. If he restored it, i could for sure see 155k
Without the “S” motor it’s not worth investing the $100k it will cost to restore it! IF it was a real matching numbers 69s it was worth $55k but not now!
He realizes he overpaid on the original $55k and is now using his shtick to unload a car that will require a ton of cash to restore, only to realize little to no profit. The plastic cup/napkin on the layers of dust was hilarious. He is hoping a gullible Porsche enthusiast will come to his rescue. His pokes at the Porsche enthusiasts in the video only serve to alienate him from the Porsche crowd and give his groupies what they want. I hate to break it to him, but Porsche guys like myself are not that stupid.
Give it that GMG treatment..whooo 🤟
Richard, that Porsche did not come from the factory with that dust. Lol
im calling it now, some millionaire millennial will buy it because of the meme link and pray its an investment. people have sold lesser meme related stuff, for more than the asking price here.
It's gonna be turned into an NFT in no time too
I say cut it up and make it fast. It was a rust bucket wasting away anyway.
Greatest sales pitch ever!! Give me eighty five grand or the Porsche gets it. Brilliant!
“You make your money when you buy it, not when you sell it” A wise man taught me that.
Thanks Richard 👍🍻

Love your style .
Richard is in full pimp mode looking for free beer
Thats alot of lights and overhead in the background with zero cars being worked on
... except for our bus build 👀
How many square feet is that shop? And the building? And only 1 build going on a shop that size with the body shop outside lifts etc should have at least minimally 8 to 10 cars being worked on everyday. If this was a normal shop without old TV money funding it there is no way you could sustain.
