I remember watching this. Not sure Trump had any idea what was going on
He still lied and said he loved the game though! I have to wonder if the man has ever told the truth in his life...
This is crazy. He laughed at Doug Ellis joke.
What a funny old game eh Jimmy… rip saint and greasvie
What a nice American chap, he seems very professional. Perhaps he might even become President one day.
"It's a funny old game Donald."
Trump has probably never heard of any of those teams. He’ll always be remembered for drawing us against Man Utd 😂
That American seems like a nice man, wonder what became of him.
@@xfactorcritic he is still warm, but the liberal media worked tirelessly to try and assassinate the man's character
@@tombarryantik7115 You think Donald Trump is the best president that you ever had? That's cool. I have some magic beans and snake oil for sale. If you send me $1000 dollars cash in the post they're yours.
Never mind returning the bust of Churchill to The Oval Office.. Get The Saint and Greavsie mug on the president's desk!!
As others have said, I missed this one first time around. Saint and Greavsie were an entertaining duo for years in perhaps more relaxed times. R.I.P Saint. .
At that very moment, Hilary Clinton was opening a branch of Sketchley's Dry Cleaners in Wigan.
Trump played soccer for his military college in the early 1960's. He also played for Wolverhampton juniors during pre season when he was 16.
There's evidence that he played a bit at school but none that he played for Wolves
After Trump played with Wolves, he also trained with the great Brazilian side, with players such as Pele, Zagallo, Garrincha etc...
@@Aerojet01 He was a tremendous player. Tremendous. Very stable on the ball. Midfield genius.
Draws those numbers LIKE A BOSS!
Donald Trump loves a good Doug Ellis gag
i cant believe this exists
RIP Saint
Leeds demand a recount!
Leeds can thank Trump and whoever drew them against Man U in the FA Cup for helping them concentrate on the league, which they won. Oh, and Brain Gayle too!
Saint and Greavsie to great player, and livex watching their show on Sunday afternoon.
Wonder how many of those of those games were live on tv. And how many would be now.
make saint & greavsie great again!
Who else is here from David Squires pre-election cartoon in the Guardian?
Rest in peace Jimmy.
This was drawn during the edition of Saint And Greavsie on the USA's preparations for the 1994 World Cup
This was a mental day. They did the FA Cup draw later that night and we drew Leeds away in that too
I would dearly love a Saint & Greavsie mug. My favourite show in the late 80s. God rest them both.
Just got a mention on sky sports. RIP Saint
Excellent, the romance of the cup!
“You don’t realise what you’ve done there”
I’m not sure if this is the worst thing he’s ever done...
The last team in the bag was Leeds United anyway, so they would have played Man United regardless of whether Trump picked them out or not.
The draw was rigged.
Believe it or not, there were genuine suspicions at the time that ITV's Rumbelows Cup draws were fixed. Every round there was a clash of big teams (inevitably selected as the live game) and on one occasion, the draw was published on Teletext 'before' it had been made!
⚽️ Its a funny old Game! 👍
Trump laughing at the Doug Ellis joke lol.
Yeah ok mate.
He may have heard of him. I don't know, but maybe business people have heard of other business people.
Even if he didn’t know what was going on, that was still technically a flawless draw performance.
We’ve seen countless go wildly wrong.
This was the best draw ever.
RIP old lads
Trump has the ultimate alpha male smile!
Anyone else hear him say they'll play the week commencing the 6th of January 🤯
Only connect brought me here.
Legend
I wonder if he will have that coffee mug on show on the desk he sits at when he's announcing nuclear strikes against Russia......."Ohhhh, Donald you don't know what you've done there!"
Probably thinking:
Tottenham versus Norwich City...
Atomic bomb versus Moscow...
Greavsie the King making eveyone feel at home.
TBH though he did commend the US women's team for winning
He put the bag under the table every time😂😂😂
Only Jimmy Greaves could do this....R I.P Jimmy.
"Oh Donald - you don't realise what you've done there!" Is a sentence Americans will say every day
HGJTDHTYHT DGFHUTYY not really, just the liberals that think they know everything
And here we are in 2024. The US has never been stronger and the whole world is at peace.
Bless ✌🏻
Trump championing women’s soccer in 1992 👍🏽⚽️
Tremendous.
RIP Jimmy Greaves.
Surreal!
"Manchester United will play.....
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez"
The President got a Saint and Greavsie mug in the end 😂
"I do the best draws. Nobody draws teams better than me"
Who's here after Sid from ESPN fc?
2:50 The Original Covfefe !!
I love it I love it
Stop the draw! I won the cup.
Now he is very respectful of women after all he knew the USA won the women's world cup....."which is pretty good" as he says himself.
Little did they know they were talking to the future president. And no wonder the USA women tram won the World Cup for women.
Wait ….. so it's thanks to Trump that United were able to dispose of Leeds in the LCQF …. (and the FA Cup 3rd Round coincidentally the same week) ….. thus freeing Leeds to concentrate on … winning the League that season !! .... thus strengthening United's resolve to be even better the next season ... sign Cantona .... and win the League in 93 ….. and the Double in 94 !! And the rest is history !!
So, Fergie, it's all thanks to Trump that United were so 'ugely amazing, fabulous and dominating for 2 decades !!! Voila - thanks Donald !!
When Saint, Greavsie and the ITV camera crew eventually left the building, I bet Trump said in his flamboyant American accent "the Rumbellow's what? who were those guys?"
Remember seeing this as a 12 year old Posh fan having no clue who the Yank with Saint and Greavsie was, guess I know now. What a season for Posh though can't remember who we beat in the 1st round but 1st division Wimbledon (the original "the crazy gang") in the 2nd, Newcastle in the 3rd, then the mighty Liverpool in the 4th, Garry Kimble scoring the only goal early on, then some resolute defending and great saves by the man in the mask Freddie Barber. Was there with my nan massive crowd to normal, had to of attended the Hartlepool(or may of been Darlington) league game to be able to get ticket( as wasn't a STH). Middlesbrough (who went on to win Promotion to the newly branded Prem) the easiest tie we could of got managed to draw at home, knowing a semi with Man Utd awaited if could win at Ayresome Park, TV chose to not show it, so radio instead, Stuart Ripley late on winning them the game, the dream of the semi gone. Season would end in success though going unbeaten in last 13 ( maybe 12) games of the season to sneak into the final playoff spot. Beating Huddersfield then Stockport County at Wembley to make it back to back promotions, getting to the 2 tier for the first time in our history. Made all the more sweeter with Scumbridge failing in their playoff to get into the inaugural Premier league. Keeping the magic going the next season with a 10th place finish (the highest ever finish) in our first ever season at that level, with them from the Shabby getting relegated, my best 3 years watching the Posh.
This draw was 'UGE !!
Trump was persuaded into doing this after being told Rumbelows was 'big league' stuff
Would have loved to see Trump's reaction to watching Peterborough vs Middlesbrough
As a 12 year old I had no idea of who the Yank was, of only it could of stayed that way. He'd of had to come to London Rd or Ayresome park as neither made it on to TV. Had to listen to the replay on the radio, hoping for the win that would give us the semi against United. Alas it wasn't to be.
"Peterborough United .... will play Middlesbrough."
"Ah, interesting."
Cup draws are great, aren't they?
I told you Ian!
Thankfully, there was no postal voting.
Up the posh 💙
Wait. Did he just pull that cup out of his pocket XD
We call it soccer here. LOL
UEFA, take note on how to conduct a draw swiftly.
RIP Greavsie - his death announced today brought me back to this. Could scarcely believe Trump doing the League Cup draw then and even harder to believe now. Wonder if Trump still has the mug in Trump Tower?
Surreal isn’t the word 😂
Have a feeling this video will get 1000s more views. RIP Jimmy Greaves
Love Uncle Donald, so respectful here. He did his best to try and save the West.
Good Ol' Donald is Everywhere.
ThanQ Sir !!
RIP Jimmy Greaves.
Yep, trump had no idea what leeds vs man utd were like back then at elland road, leeds home ground
Leeds beat man utd to league that season.
Good firms arise
At least Donald didn't try to grab them by the ....
The draw should've been redone
The Donald
A mug for a mug and his Covfefe. RIP Greavsie.
Jimmy Greaves “I haven’t seen a board room like this since Doug Ellis’”
Trump laughs
(Thinks - I have no Idea who that is)
It's really weird how this still all applies so well. Soccer's popularity is picking up here. The World Cup is coming here soon. Our women won the World Cup. This video could have been filmed last week 😂
Well I'll be damned.
He did well and treated everyone with respect, like any guest would. Those with political comments on here are pretty sad people IMO
david dent more wodden than that table
2:13 huh
This draw wasn't fix at all....
Afccharliee
Now it's the nuclear football that's causing him problems
My memory might be playing tricks on me, but I'm sure I remember seeing this, had no idea who the American guy was, but he can't really be blamed for that. With hindsight, we should all probably hate Jimmy Greaves, for giving us reason to feel sorry for Donald Trump...
How could he play "soccer" in High School, he had bone spurs???!
I guess those must have come a little later because in high school he played soccer, bowled, played basketball, and captained the baseball team. He actually was quite the athlete it would seem
that was the greatest draw in the history of draws
False. That honour goes to Rod Stewart.
It was fantastic, it was absolute huge!
You're right!
