i believe that’s a myth, they don’t actually eat much out of their larval stage but do eat nectar from plants. i like them because you can put one on your hands and chase people who don’t know it’s not a giant mosquito around with it
oh and also they’re very short lived

A punch from lions would end a hyenas life, or if it jumps on a hyena, that would be fatal too. Hyenas bite force allows them to eat bones, but it's not that efficient against fighting bigger animals than themselves.
