Sei Whale Stranding 21/10/23 South Queensferry - Raw Footage

Rescue attempt by British Divers Marine Life Rescue. Unfortunately the 9.8m Sei Whale passed away before the tide returned.

I hope she will pull through, we have gems like this whale in our oceans and look what we are doing with them, pitiful, finally there are still some wonderful people like those in the video♥

It weighed over 10 tonnes so this was not possible.

Lots of shipping noise in a confined waterway (and possibly active sonar from a sub) is not good for these beasties.

Sometimes this happens when there in fear of something chasing them they will swim into the shallows to try and get away.
