what a beast, look how fast is the T500. 4 years of intense racing, still feels new. Love it. I like the g25 as well but the price really reflects the difference in performance.
150 $ vs 500$
I feel like the ffb of the T500rs will rip your hands off
Jason wong same that's the reason why I want one haha
OOHHH MY GOD i think im selling my GT3RS. I had no idea! I went from a G27 to a Fanatec gt3rs and I cant stand it with drifting...
You're a hell of a driver mate. Well done.
basically, the G25 and G27 have 11,500 sensors along the rotation of the wheel, the T500 has 65,000. so yeah, you can tell just from that how much more precise the T500 is.
(the proper technical term is that the G25/7 are 11,500bit and the T500 is 65,000 bit, fyi)
THANKS!!! REALY GREAT TEST!
i dont think so, i dont have one but what i know from experience (and this even applies with the G25 and G27) is that the reason wheels have been hard to drift with so much over all these years was that their forcefeedback was too weak and didnt spin the wheel fast enough therefore you had to do all the countersteering yourself rather than being able to sometimes let the wheel spin by itself to get into the countersteer you need, the T500 spins faster than anything else so its got to be better.
its a hell of a lot more than slightly, i havent used one but thats what im told from friends who upgraded from G27 to T500's that the difference is as big as going from a logitech £40 wheel from 2007 to a DFGT. from having 6 times as many bits (from 11500 to 65000) and the extreme amount more power from the motor.
T500 is great, the only drawback is the paddles don't move with the wheel, but if you get the separate H-shifter (another $160) then it's all good.
Theres a trick that people use on the fanatec wheels to give them a different kind of ffb that seems a little sharper and more g25/27 style. Fully un-install all your fanatec drivers, put the wheel in ps3 mode, then instal logitech drivers as if you had a g25/27. Since the fanatec wheel is in ps3 mode it works perfectly with the logi drivers, and many people have reported improved ffb using the ps3 mode w/logitech drivers on the fanatec wheel. Read about it in the official rfactor 2 forums.
T500 RS is honestly slightly better in terms of performance. The T500RS also gives you a better feel slightly of the cars reactions, but the main thing is that its solid its made to be punished harder the the G25. The T500 also has 2 internal fans to keep it cool unlike the G25 which after a day of playing will be burning hot the T500 will actually cool way down as you play when the fans arent needed they turn off and they are actually pretty quiet as they run. Also you can have a full on F1 ty
How do you mean slower?
I have G25 for couple of years-happy time but some people say G series is slow compared to new wheels. Ain't GT3RS the best from Porsche wheels?
it is caused by the two motors, logitech have explained it themselves and i think they know a blind sight more about their product than you do.
As much as the T500RS does have a much faster motor, to me it seems like the G25 has more variety in types of feedback and different feedback strengths. With one for grass, gravel, clangs etc. Whereas the T500RS seems to only have one kind of judder reaction. At least based on this video anyway.
The types of forces depend on the game not the driver, those demos built into the driver are just that, demos. the T500RS actually has a hugely wider range of forces since it has 65535 positions whereas the G25 and G27 only had 11500 positions.
The only reason I use drift mode is without it the GT3RS V2 feels a lot more dampened than the G25 and it feels heavy. But I am changing the wheel anyway because fanatec support is very bad. It took them 10 days to get me replacement parts for my GT3RS V2 which I bought on the 21st of may this year.
@10forgram i think you mean... quieter and smoother because most sim racers hate the csr E wheel..... base wise....neither are special. Price, I'm sorry, but you can get a t500 for 480 bucks for wheel, pedals, and one day shipping (New).. CSR E you're shelling 540 for a wheel only and basic shipping.
Glad to hear you happy, have to choose between T500 and CSW myself now and it´s really hard when no way of trying them out? Is there anything you see as negative about the T500 now that you owned it for a while? It could potentiall help me here? To me Fanatec CSW is by far the better looking base + wheel but the functionality is in it´s turn far more important and so is support! Fanatec support is not even answering me which I find scary (bought V2´s with broken sensor)
Ah the show comment button worked now and after seeing that your comment makes no sense... i wasnt questioning anyones opinion. i was explaining what happened to me in my own experience from having owned both a G25 and G27 (as i said the G27 i got because of the warranty from when my G25 broke).
This video clearly shows why the T500 is a MUCH better wheel.
When he does the test, notice when the G25 rotates, it has a up and down swing and is not fully centered? IE a bad balance. Also notice when the feedback kicks in, the many different sounds it makes? sounds like things will fall apart soon. The T500 has a very solid sound and does not have any balancing issues. On top of it, it has superior driving feel that is in another class. I don't even own either wheel, but i'm planning to buy one and i was going to buy the G27 because i never heard of the T500 until a few days ago, but just doing basic research makes me want to get the T500 now. Problem is, i never intended to spent T500 on a wheel. I can actually get the G27 for 200$ brand new. But it just looks like a TOY compared to the T500. The price is well justified.
not tryed the g25 but im on my second rs500 after being replaced as it went wrong and now this one it getting problems like cooling fan going
strud34
yeah that worries me spending that much money only to replace it.. i think i actually might get the g27 and wait for a future wheel that is better than the t500
the only thing is that the T500 with the TH8RS shifter (which I always use a shifter like this) cost WAY too much for me, even tho the quality is 10x times better than the G27, the G27 is cheaper and it comes with a shifter, perfect for me!
Albert Männik When you say shit like that, it's quite evident that you never touched a thrustmaster wheel...
Albert Männik after this post, I got the G27 anyway...
yeah it rattles and feels cheap, but so far no problems and it does a good job in games like ASSETO CORSA where the FFB is very real. I still wish I had money to get a real wheel though, but for 200 bucks this g27 is a steal.
A proper test! Thanks
What program do you use to test the wheels like that?
i wish real cars have a respobse like that T500RS hahaha
GWRed Haha so true. After a long play I took my car and I said: what is this? no force feedback, no precision.
Hi BanrX1! I have the G25 and i was thinking in buy´n the T500RS. Do you believe it worths it? is it any better? I love strong force feed back by the way. In what point is the T500 better and worst comparing it to the G25? Thx! (nice vid BTW)
Is the T500 RS feedback more easier for the drifting? cause i got a G25 logitech.
its a hell of a lot better when you have to countesteer since it can spin so fast under the forces of weight transfer
megaspeed2v2 Ah perfect because I'm planning to get me one next week if possible. cause if i do, i'm selling my G25.
Filmore1991 Yes for countersteering fast but no when you need to straighten the wheel, unless you have big muscles.
Damn can't wait for it in mail, wish my gt2 was fast and powerfully as t500
Why the gloves on the T500 but not the G25? Great vid though I'd have liked to hear your opinion on their differences.
That is wrong. it doesn´t depends of the number of the motors. If the steering angle sensor registrates only one degree of steering away from the middle, the motors only have to force against the steering motion and that is possible with 1, 2 oder 99 motors. If the motors would have to work against each other, than you could feel the same like turning the ffb off.
problem? it was a test of the wheel itself not the shifter and pedals.
Holy crap, i would rather stick my fingers in a blender than being in the same room when that thing calibrates.
I see the T500 RS has more responsive FFB, but how is it with fine corrections? My G25 feels like the bearings have gone bad or something, when making small corrections you can feel the bearings moving.. or rather rubbing against each other..
Yeah, but 2 cm make a bit difference. It looks optically smaller.
great review and video but i think u best make ya mounting point stronger your wheels look like thay fall off any minute
People say that the new CSR wheel is faster and lighter to steer. I don't like drift mode much, but I ended up using it at "4" because my FFB setup. It doesn't feel light though. There are new beta driver and firmware which make wheel better according to some people. However there are still some problems and I'll wait for final release. See 911wheel dot de.
Which is better?
Sick driving Natsuki.
T500RS of course, almost 3 times more expensive than G25
T500RSでG25のシフターを使用できるようですが、変換アダプターなど何を使っているのですか?
@GuitarGasmProduction Oh yeah, they've sent me a new one at no charge, but it takes more than a week to get here since they are outside the US. Sent my 2nd one in about a week and a half ago, still haven't received the 3rd one. If this next one doesn't work, I'm just going to tell them to refund my money.
That's because so fast T500RS's wheel speed.
so It is hurt case of bare hands.
I'm so glad I went with Fanatec!
They both miss a load-cell brake. That's why I have a fanatec.
G27 would still lose, it might have 75% of the power that the T500 has when the ARC mod is applied but it still needs two motors to do it and that two motors thing is the thing that causes the dead spot where you have no forcefeedback on the first few degrees of turning (this is because to have forcefeedback there the motors would have to work against eachother which would damage them in seconds)
@MonTziK95 Thats why its called thrustmaster
best game for drifting i love it
from what i can see, the g25 made him drive better, though i think the t500rs is more realistic and has a faster motor
its not really fair to compare it to the g25, g27 yeah but not a g25 its to old compared to t500.
G25 and G27 are basically same wheel except some minor differences.
At this levels, its mostly up to the driver.
It lacks something above the gear lever
At least the T500 is centered
T500rs looks to sell steer much faster and better than the g25
No way of doing that on my GT3RS wheel without a drift mode!
how can i get the software for T500RS one that you have??
T500RS is using its full speed when turning. Dont worry. G25 can turn faster than that.
no it cant.
It is running on %100 speed setting and it can be tuned up to %150. It will turn faster with %150 speed. I know my G27 does, actually not sure about G25, but i think it can.
Darude - Sandstorm it should never be turned to 150%, that ruins the feedback accuracy. same with the T500RS the driver should be set to 60% and never higher or the feedback becomes non linear.
Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
Darude - Sandstorm good name
G25 is more balanced. because there is such a hydraulic or electric, to return so quickly in such a wheel steering angle which is achieved prepared cars for drifting. Plus, in this large steering angle of the front wheels to fit a lot of pressure upon them that after-delay automatic return of the wheel. g25 is more realistic!
do the t500 pedals have any resistance?
t500 rs got stronger FFB than real car... thats unreal
really thinking about this wheel. Fanatec has been crapping on me. Can't get a wheel from them that will work for more than a few hours. On my 2nd CSR, and it's not working anymore. Very disappointed.
next time compare the price
T500RS for those who don't own a real car :P
testing on GT5 is just unfair to G25
I heard people say T500 is hard and suffer to drifting, is that true?
i wanna drive like that
@Texarmageddon I will agree with the wheel rim, Changeable wheel rims available soon and E brake and new shifter. As for the looks, You no lik? See-thru shit? come on man! It's better then having so giant black box (T500RS) I own both CSR wheels they really do feel great!
whats your center spring at (average) on the g25?
is the t500 louder in use than the g25?
on t500rs you see the force feedback
TH8RS Shifter +T500RS + GT5 + Big TV + Carerham Seven fireblade + Nordschleife = Orgasm
But its a shame that you have to pay a extra 80euros for the Shifter ( i know compaired to other pro shifters which cost more then 100euros - its much better )
it's true that Logitech wheels are not centered well. both of mine are centered at around 40 degrees, wtf. cannot use it to play GT5, even when it is better.
this is the reason i m getting Thrustmaster
but it drives itself look on his hands movements n the steering
Dude.. you just make this look difficult.
holy F that Tmaster is fast :O
@10forgram SO being able to see metal CNC parts are now cool? Man I have to work with CNC machines.... seeing the results of CNC machines lost its wow factor to me way before this wheel came out. I could see you being ecstatic over the CSR-W with the quick release, but come on... I hope you know by base I meant in looks... not performance. I also meant to say csr wheel rim in my last comment... I even hated it when i used it.
Just got the T500 sorry but it makes my g27 look like a toy .
knocks 2 seconds a lap off my best times.
say now more .
@banrX1 you should totaly buy the TH8RS
can you tell what;s the title of this drifting simulator
Live For Speed
@Texarmageddon Quiter, Smother, Looks and rpice! CSR Elite is boss... Don't get me wrong T500 is nasty but at the end of the day Fanatec's CSR Elite provides so much more!
I also have beta firmware 744 and driver 129 which feels great.
回る速度はT500RSの方が圧倒的ですね FFBを最大にしたときの重さもやはりT500RSの方が軽いですよね?
Live for speed
mate dont question are opinions the T500RS costs way more then the g25 g27 yes its better but the g25 or 7 is cheeper and as good my opinion again
@Natsukir ありがとうございます。やり方はわかったのですかこんなに細かい動きをしないのですが・・・
Not sure which comment you are replying to (the show comment button isnt showing for some reason)
When was i questioning anyones opinions? and even if i did... thats the whole point of an opinion, its an opinion, if you have a right to your opinion then everyone else has a right to theres too.
wtf is that g25 having a seizure in the beginning of the video
Tests T500 RS. Uses G25's shifter... PWNED!
which one has stronger force feedback on lfs?
that ... thing the T500RS has inside ... is call engine , not ffb motor O_o , I don't want to put my hand on that !
Was funny 10 years ago.
if your wheel behave like that in the middle of the night....
The padles are fixed. Great idea! HAHAHAHA You can't change gears while turning.
G25 still better.
@select20 CSR? as in the new forza wheel?.... ouch man... srry to hear
Yup I moved from a G25 to GT3RS V2 and its slower than the G25
T500 less noise realistic size perfect but csw tooo good cant decide
yeah if you want to pay 600 for it go ahead but i recoment the g26 just becouse its great
Albert Männik g27....
I would buy Logitech coz the other one Is way too big and takes up whole desk
@nicio666
It's so heavy.
at least stronger than G25 pedals.
どうやってハンコンを自動で動かしてるのですか?
try racing with the driving force pro lol, that thing drowned out the racing sounds no matter how high i turned up the volume
do u wany 2 sell any ony of them
wow a 500$ wheel vs a 200$ wheel i think the g25 won because the price for the T500RS is unacceptable :/
you might say that but if you own a T500RS for 1 week you will say its reasonable, its just a lot better in every single possible way you could ever think if, there is not a single thing about the T500RS that isnt better than a G25 or G27 and i know from owning a G27 for 4 years before my T500RS (techically 2 years, i bought a G25, it broke after 18 months, at which point it was discontinued so logitech gave me a G27 xD)
Mini Pini Following your way of thinking an hypothetic Fiat Panda that costs 100000€ is better than a Ferrari F488. T500 costs twice but its performance is ten times the g25. I own both trust me.
G27 starts to make noise after a few months usage, from experience.
still quieter and smoother than a G25 by far at least ^^
I remember when i first got my G27 as a warranty replacement for my G25 that broke after G25 was discontinued but was still under warranty, the first time driving it i was so freaking amazed how it had absolutely no sound and epicly smooth, too bad that wore away noticeably with age but still epic :D
D: My friend had this wheel, i tried it..... sometimes it hurt, but sometimes it didn't hurt :p
The best is a G25 and the G27
t5000:holy shit
