If the Jan 6 committee had focused their efforts on the people who were actually violent or encouraging violence, they would have gotten more respect. Instead, they were laser focused on Trump, who, after all their interviews, evidence, etc. they still have not released anything that sounds like a call to violence. During his speech, he specifically told his supporters to be peaceful. There is zero evidence presented that he had some back channel with the violent elements in the protest/riot. I have been waiting for anything along those lines, but the committee has spent most of its time of irrelevancies, like how scary being in a riot is or that the election was fair.
Frustratingly, they have also ignored one of the main causes of the riot, which was the lack of crowd control. As the name implies, without crowd control, crowds go out of control. Did Trump rile up the crowd and make them pissed off at the government? Yes, of course. But people are going to be pissed off at the government (justifiably or unjustifiably) no matter what. Blaming a riot on the person making people pissed off is like blaming a plane crash on gravity. Yeah, it was obviously a crucial element, but living in a society with freedom of speech and assembly means that the Capitol needs to function despite people being pissed off at it, rather than trying to prevent people from getting pissed. And the Capitol police has enormous resources to accomplish that task. Resources, their leadership largely chose not to deploy.

Wonder why it’s never addressed or asked about, that the Capital security, requested Pelosi beforehand, for the National Guard to assist or be on standby for the expectations long before, of many protesters that were coming. Yet she denied Capital security’s request. Why? The protesters that were destructive on Jan 6th arrived swiftly, all at once as on a mission. Who organized that? It wasn’t the intention of the thousands who had come. Also, what of the democrat known to work with the FBI, who was videoed the day before encouraging protesters to enter the capital. Though was getting No acceptance by the protesters surrounding him at the time. Why are his actions not addressed?! The hearing sidesteps very relevant questions to focus on the quest to subpoena Trump. Who only said for them to protest peacefully. If there were more,it would have been found under all the previous scrutiny. These Jan 6th hearings are a farce.
