That was the stupid lockon bug,if you see on the minimap,flambass wasn't locked on the iowa inspite the game showing lock-on on the enemy ship.that is the reason behind the really retarded dispersion
Is it just me or is WoWs getting glitchier and glitchier? It never used to be but I am seeing more and more of these "stealth torps", torps that go through icebergs and rogue shells.
The moment you are at 9km from a full broadside Seattle, you aim perfectly, you wait, you shoot. And the shells go to the moon and only get 2 overpens and 6 miss with your lovely Jean Bart.
Try being in a Gneisenau, shoot 6 shells (waterline aiming) at a Musashi less than 4km away AND broadside, and watch 2 shells sail OVER the superstructure. The other 4 miss completely, one going in front of the bow and one behind the stern. WG is simply run by stupid programmers. There's no other explanation for the level of idiocy in the code.
A lot of those clips where someone takes almost no damage from ramming were from the "light ram" mechanic. When two enemy ships collide at speed they each do their total HP in damage to the enemy ship (normal ram). However, when two ships ram gently at low speed, or one is reversing away from the one that rams it, they each slowly take damage over time, until one dies. It can be a good trick to surviving rams: if a low HP ship goes for the ram on you and you have a lot of HP, reverse slowly away from them as they ram and you will likely take barely any damage.
I actually feel better now… glad to see I am not the only one seeing a torpedo from miles off, making an unfortunate move and taking a torp in the rear.… I do believe ramming is broken though, WG may have lowered the damage caused… My game has never had a hick-up in 10 months of play, but I do play the Steam version - which then on occasion losses contact with the Steam server :-(, there may not be much difference.

Yeah that's my dispersion like every shot playing a Battleship, why I switched to Cruiser full time. Lots of crap-tastic bugs that kill me. And CV's a so op'd.
I have a feeling the Jean Bart punishes you for facing towards the enemy. Maybe the dispersion values go up when the turrets are fired facing directly ahead
I've had the exact same thing happen to me so many times with invisible torps. I've been sailing along having a nice time in a DD and just suddenly blown up with no warning about torps, no red symbols on the screen and no triangles in the water. Just boom. Nothing client side to warn me.

Flambass the torpedoes that go through you or islands are a glitch. I’ve seen it several times. They will actually keep going for the entire match and never hit anything. I once saw a 8km torpedo go from one end of the map to another.
I've seen it to, with my own experience as a carrier. What I've found is that it occurs sometimes when the torpedo hits a wreck but hasnt armed yet but the ship was just sunk. It seems to put them in a state of having hit something so unable to hit anything but not being destroyed
You can always tell if your suffering from the aim glitch if there isn't a direction indicator on the map of whatever target your locked onto. Tap x to deselect said target and x again to fix it
Had 2:40 happen to me. I was in a Neptune's with 40k health and my team let a 4k Mino ram me. Instead of dying I only lost 20k health. Not sure how but I was happy and alive
I think if you’re backing off when receiving the ram, the entire ram damage is not all down due to it being tick damage. So the enemy died before you. And after that it’s just a harmless body.
avg joe gaming the speed is key. The speed in the ram damage calculation is astronomically important. If the collision is slow on both ships then this happens very often. If it’s a high speed ram on either side the damage per tick spikes up.

There it fucking is. Happened to me in smoke, happened to me behind islands, happened to me in the open ocean when i'm not within 15km+ of an enemy (as a Gearing!) In addition to the aim bug. this fucking game. Also, the ramming bug is hilarious. I was on the 'positive' side of it once richelou vs richelou.
I think that was an Akizuki in that clip. Little hard to see on the map though, especially since part of the name is overlapping with the box for C point.

What do you mean that dispersion isn't normal? I play on console and get that dispersion on my USN BB's almost every volley no matter the range. I don't know about IJN or UK, but that looked pretty standard to me.
It's a scene transition, so you have an idea where one clip ends and the next one begins. I hate watching videos where if I blink I missed something or didn't even realize I wasn't watching the same thing anymore ;)

NO if ship is running away from the rammer they nearly always survive and the rammer dies.
