... And I know you'll hate me for the ending. It wasn't planned, but the story kinda took me there. Sorry.
Summary: After Steve's death, the Avengers are trying to get Bucky to pick up the shield.
He is not willing to do that, partly because he thinks no one can ever replace Steve and partly because he feels guilty for the things he did as the Winter Soldier. He knows what Captain America stands for, and he doesn't want to destroy everything that Steve's built.
He thinks Tony still blames him for his parents' deaths, but after getting his approval, he decides to take on the mantle.
The public, however, isn't as forgiving. They're only now finding out about his crimes, and they consider him a villain, not a hero.
Having lost his home, his best friend, and his purpose, Bucky honors his promise to be with Steve 'till the end of the line' and takes his own life.

Omg my heart is broken with this tragic yet stunning AU 😭😭😭😭This hurts so much... Bucky taking the shield after Steve's death hurts too much (to be honest I hope in canon if that happens its the falcon cause my heart will be to overwhelmed and want to cry if it's bucky) and then people being terrible and cruel to him? Ouch! And to end it all, you pull a Romeo and Juliette and he kills himself to be with Steve 😭😭😭😭
It's interesting that Bucky has picked up the shield (in a literal way) at least 4 times, and I don't think the Falcon has. I wonder if that's foreshadowing or they're gonna take it the complete opposite way and give it to Falcon. I guess we'll see...
@@GCArts I think falcon does take the shield once from what I heard... So they both could be an option (even though I know the obvious choice is bucky) , they both will hurt like hell if it happens anyway 😭

Many fans wanted Bucky to be new Captain America, but this AU would happen. People will start to say "you don't deserve it" "he is a killer" etc. so it wouldn't end well.
Yeah, I wanted that too, but I'm glad Falcon got it, it's for the best

As if everyone else had done much))) These films were dedicated to the original six, not other characters. And, yes, Bucky did enough to defeat Thanos. At least, he did enough to shoot the Horsemen and help hold the siege of Wakanda.
