And I've loved him 50 years worth in 6 months! Just think, I could have been driving myself crazy over someone I never met 45 and a half years earlier if I hadn't started messing around playing country music. Truly tho, I don't think I've ever heard anyone whose voice I would love to listen to every waking minute, and I wish I could hear him sing every song I ever liked and it hurts my feelings so bad to know that I'll never hear those songs sung by the most beautiful voice I ever heard.
my husband is not his regular drummer. but my friend is his keyboard player when he is in fl.i saw jay black last year but i was black stage so the video came out bad.i will post more whenever i see him again. debbie
Man, he's still got his voice! He looks a little ragged physically and the comments allude to a recent illness or stretch of bad health, but if you close your eyes it is like the 60's all over again!
Thanks so much for filming this and to your husband for posting it. You answered my question posted on another of these songs, and it's so good to know he was out and about performing his magic this weekend. Now if he would only come to South Texas, I might get to see and touch him in this lifetime (mine). Love this man!
@salliannable Hehehe, you and I can't stay away. I was afraid he was going to retire, after seeing posts saying he was in a power chair at some appearance. Like heck he was, look at that fine man! I keep thinking of all the ones I wish he would do, but am so happy he's still singing and cracking wise and just being his Scorpio self. Like you, salliannable, I have to listen to him every day and could just listen non-stop.
@longnailz Debbie, you are in danger of becoming my newest heroine! As you can see, your following is guaranteed, at least for us cougars, or Jayettes. I'm in South Texas, but old and decrepit. Still, I'm getting really antsy about seeing Jay this year.
@longnailz Oh, thank you! I hope he is recovering from his recent slump. Zoom in as close as you can, we want to see that crooked smile and those bedroom eyes close up and personal, at least in our minds.
He's just the greatest male vocalist of the rock and roll era.... Truly spectacular!!!
Awesome voice! Exceptional❤
What A voice !!!!
The greatest voice in music history!

i have a feeling he will perform again in florida. if he does i will take video. glad everyone liked it.
Vocally, he reminds me a lot of Roy Orbison- (don't ask me why!)
jay did all the lead vocals. the guitar player did back-ups.
