"Pentakill" is an achievement you get when you kill all 5 champs on the opposite team. Most of their songs, "thornmail" "bloodthirster" "last whisper" are names of actual items you can buy in game :D

The pentakill characters are Karthus (lead vocal), Kayle (female vocal, angel), Mordekaiser (guitar, very big guy), Yorick (bass hat dude) and Sona (redhead on a keyboard). The 2021 album/concert also includes Viego. Just thought y'all should know for your concert watch.

The IRL singer for Kayle is Noora Louhimo, who is also the lead singer for a metal band called "battle beast". They shred HARD! My favorite song from them is "Lightbringer". The song has no association with the pentakill song of the same game.
For the interactive performance there was multiple teasers that even had puzzles for the community to solve to get the next teasers ahead of time with a final longer lore teaser. To watch all of these along with the concert takes a around an hour iirc.

so the OG 5 skins came out in 2014 and they started making music. the Mortal Reminder video was a release of a 6th skin, the angel at the end. then 2021 was called "Lost Chapter" and was the new 6 skins. that is the interactive one you saw in the playlist

Definitely do the interactive, that was insane doing it live, I don't normally listen to this style of music but it was sooooo damn good! and the interactive was the "new" music video for them, a different kind of experience.

I could be wrong, but based the reactions I've seen of people watching all of the cinematics(Awaken, Warriors, The Call), I really don't think there are any copyright issues. Riot's just cool like that. I think the only content people have to navigate carefully is "Enemy by Imagine Dragons; Feat. JID, Arcane; The Show, and Star Walkin'; Feat. LIL NAS X
Lil Nas X is the more troubled music video, like, Riot didn't even claimed copyright, but the Columbia records to the video (and when lil Nas uploaded the song on his channel, even 5 seconds would end on a copyright claim that again wasn't make for Riot) and Imagine Dragons idk, until few months ago i saw many people reacting to them

Riot Games, Inc. has their own music department (or company?) called Riot Games Music. They have their own YT channel with music uploads.. they already have 2 lofi sets and 1 edm all of those uploaded music were free to use.
You guys ask why they haven't made more Pentakill music, they literally made 3 albums, the latest in 2021. K/DA only has 1 album so far. True Damage only has one SONG. They also make their Game BGM, future projects' music, and TV show music. Keep in mind their in-house team is like 3 people.
Riot's in-house productions are not copyrighted. The Riot Team makes music because they love music, and believe music is a major part of the gaming experience. That is why they don't copyright strike their music. Money is not the main factor that drives their creation of music, contrary to what Hman said. However, they do use it to promote their games/skins.

That was not the only one. If you look at the Pentakill III: Lost Chapter - An Interactive Album Experience that you pointed out, it's on Riot Music video channel... It is league of legends related too.
The UA-cam channel of Riot Music uploaded "prequels" with short context for the third album, from 30 seconds to one of 5 minutes that explain or give voice to storys already written, so yeah, i would recommend seeing those before listening the interactive concert
If I remember correctly they created the skins for the characters then it lead to them actually getting artists to bring them to life.
pentakill is the first "virtual band" from riot, the first album was riot experience with riot songs as the skins set already existed, but riot music tradition only started on 2013 with "get jinx" and "wariors" the release of pentakill was amasing but they didn't go all out
the best song in 2014 is lightbringer, but the 2021 they made a live online concert, during the pandemic, an 45 min long interective show with motion capture
The last album is watchable as the virtual concert, which is 45 minutes of metal fun.
If you are interested who's the voice behind Pentakill that will will be Jorn Lande. Norwegian hard rock and heavy metal singer and songwriter. One of the best voices out there.

Riot made skins first and then turned them into actual band. Mortal Reminder is not even their top 10 song, IMO. You should listen to Lightbringer, Tear of the Godess, Gathering Storm and Blade of the Ruined King. Those are real bangers
Jorn Lande is the singer and composer of pentakill he got Tommy Lee to drum on album 2 for some songs.

Alright to clear some things up, Riot has its own music department. The guy who made arcane, iirc, basically pitched that Riot should have a full time in house music team (more info in bridging the rift episode 4 I believe) so a lot of the music that riot makes is created in-house and that’s why a lot of it is streamable. Only when songs are created by bands with little to no influence by riot is when they tend to be copyright strikeable (ie Warriors by Imagine Dragons and Starwalker by Lil Nas X)
When riot songs get popular artists to give voice to their music it’s kinda like just getting a voice actor to give a character a voice.
Absolutely react to the concert! Also note that it was mocap'ed live so the animation isn't going to be as smooth as with the music video but dare I say it's more impressive!

You should obviously react to the virtual concert, but also the song Lightbringer (that has no video) is amazing and it also has an acoustic version.

The problem is, as much as they would like to make more songs. They cant really do it, when they make a band they can sell the skins. If they make more songs using the same band they can not sell the skins as effectifly.
So we would have to accept either they keep making new bands from champions for music videos or they will have to enforce copyright claims on the videos to be profitable

Riot games doesn't copy right strike their videos or music. There are only two things that get strikes. Arcane stuff because Netflix strikes it and there's one song that the creators kept the copy right for but everything else is free game. Riot has said publicly that they WANT people reacting and showing their stuff.
They should probably talk to all the companies that are copyright claiming our videos then since they 100% have claimed multiple videos regardless of how many people say this.
We upload all videos in full first. We only make adjustments when a claim has been issued

"Pentakill" was initially a skin set, and they decided to make music videos to promote it. This was WAY WAY before KDA, and i think they've always kept it at the back of their minds and kept working on something more "poppy" that would work better and sell more, but this is what really spurred the creation of KDA and True Damage although we have not yet seen the latter in action

Plenty have told us and plenty of times we've been hit for copyright, we launch all videos with the full music and only adjust once we've been hit for copyright. Riot themselves may not hit the songs for copyright, but others do.
there are way more pentakill songs than KDA songs. They just don't have the same amount of animations.

Pentakill doesn't get near the respect they deserve for really being the first Riot band (with skin line) and being the ones to kick off the whole Riot Music studio fully. They predate K/DA by years.
You all should check out the whole discography even though they haven't gotten the videos they deserve.

First of all the champion themes alone are worth their reactions for sheer musical quality.
Go listen to Aphelios' theme. Then Jhin's theme. Do it. DO IT NOW. I don't even care if it's in a reaction video, just go listen to all the champion themes and then realize again the Aphelios has the best theme.
The league content rabbit hole is deep, dark, wide, and very scary. You've already begun the journey. You cannot end until you've consumed every piece of league content riot has produced. Then you will be like us. Chomping at the bit vicariously living through reaction videos on youtube just to experience what it was like listening to or watching a video/song/animation/random piece of art for the first time. For the 10th time.
