    In today’s hair tutorial I am showing you how to four strand braid. This hairstyle reminds me of something you would see on the runway during NYFW. Let me tell you this was an ambitious braid but I broke down the steps, and shared my tips to help you easily achieve this hairstyle.
    I’d love to know if you tried this braid, & what you thought.

    I learned this style : spread for 4 and then make 2 twisted braids and then turn them both otherwise together.

    You know, I think this is a great little right-brain exercise. I'm sure my shoulders/arms will also agree after they start aching from reaching back. I'm going to try this tonight =)
    Also, this girl is BEAUTIFUL.

      I watched a crochet sort of tutorial and I can maybe explain it more simple:
      1. devide your pony tail in 4 sections.
      2. Have two strands in each hand: right and left. These have different rules.
      3. Left: always swap the top strand OVER the bottom one.
      4. Right: always swap the top strand UNDER the bottom one and than OVER the strand that is now the bottom left strand.
      Otherwise said:
      On the right you swap the top OVER the bottom strand. Then you look at the middle two strands. You swap from these the right OVER the left.
      5. Repeat.
      So on one side OVER and on the other side the rule states UNDER and than OVER.

    Alex your tutorials are so easy to follow and the outcome is gorgeous. I have one question. How do you prevent dry ends at long hair? I have always struggled with this and after some time they look like they have been fried so I end up chopoing off 20cm in one go. I have tried many masks, hair oils, heat protection sprays (when using heat to style my hair) etc and they do not seem to work.

    • @AlexGaboury
      @AlexGaboury  6 років тому

      That means a lot to me, thank you so much! I actually stopped using hair oils before I style my hair. Since I stopped my hair has grown soo much and my ends are a lot healthier. I'm not 100% sure that's the reason why, but I believe using oil on my hair + heat was frying my ends. Try just using oil after, hopefully it helps.

    • @MetalDenni
      @MetalDenni 6 років тому

      Alex, thank you so much for your quick reply! I will definitely try not using hair oils before heat. Love you

    I make the very same braid but so much easier! You just place the section on one side over the nearest two sections, then repeat the same from another side. And that’s it! The one on the edge over two in the middle, the one on the other edge over two in the middle.

    My hands would hurt so bad😂 really beautiful result😍 my hair is still dry and frizzy, I use one hair mask a week and I use herbal essence now because it smells really good (I use the one that smells like roses, it is meant to make it soft too and works). Try finding shampoo’s and conditioners without silicones because silicones makes it dry and at the same time weights it down so it gets greasy faster, use heat protectant and oils with silicones though because it protects against heat. What shampoo&conditioner do you use? I used to use pantene before but I prefer herbal essence for the smell and because it makes it stay clean for one or two days longer but pantene makes it shinier. I wish I was up at 01:00 am but I was really tired, usually I would be up and I could watch your video❤️ it is 12 pm here now when I comment❤️

      Good morning love, it's about 9:00 am here and starting to feel like Fall, it's so chilly! Wow it sounds like you're doing everything right, your hair is going to be so healthy in no time. I like to alternate between shampoos, so I'm currently using Kerastase Elixir Ultime (Smells amazing) & Garnier Whole Blends. I'm definitely going to check out that Herbal Essences one, I loved their shampoos!

      Alex Gaboury same here, it is so beautiful outside now that fall is creeping in😍 I wanted to take a picture before I went to sleep but I didn’t have the energy to get out of bed, the heaven was purple💜 I kind of regret it because it looked really pretty, I feel so bad now because I just went to the store but my card didn’t work there so I had to go home and find my other card but I didn’t find it. I bought so much and feel bad for those who work there but it is so embarrasing to go back now😭 I like living like I am rich but I am not rich
