      How much do you think the plastic packaging costs per box? 5c? 10c?
      Also think about the machine that fills the plastic tray. It could be that machine is much cheaper and more efficient than the alternative that would roll the ammo in paper and staple it.

      Sell it in simple cardboard boxes of 30-60-120. Something like a shotgun shell box would be fine and save plastic waste on box inserts.

    I’m glad that PSA is working on providing the gun community with some great products. I would have like to have seen the same style boxes as the Tula and Wolf. Berdan primers would have been fine maybe those two things could have kept the price point down a couple bucks. I’m just guessing but most people that shoot 7.62x39 aren’t snipers they are looking for something cheap to go to the range with and blow a few mags.

    • @2aEdu
      @2aEdu  8 місяців тому +4

    It'd be cool if you can get someone to loan you a Ruger American Ranch to try out.

That range wont let you shoot normal steel cased because of the bimetal jacket. That is why I wanted to keep them in the box, if that makes any sense.

    I'm all for range friendly ammo, but I don't have a gun range, just the actual range, ya know like home on the range where the deer and the buffalo come and crap on your grass and eat the bark off your trees. Anyway, all jokes aside, those steel core Soviet military style bullets are what you need if you plan on dealing with a SHTF event if it comes. If you are just a target shooter and it's all just a hobby and a pastime then great. I'm buying for target practice, to set my sights ect, but I recommend the original Soviet round if you want SHTF ammo, it goes through cars, and trucks and a lot of stuff at 100 yards. So just letting you know of my experience of over 30 years of AK and SKS shooting.

    I've been shooting wolf and Tula ammo for years at the range and no one has said anything about it. It's magnetic because the outside of the bullet is steel. But inside of the bullet is lead which is a softer metal. Ranges are ok as long as there's a lead core inside the jacket. This is a very common misconception in the gun world.

    While I understand that you are signing the praises of the quality of the manufacturing process that is a mood point. In the end what is the overall performance of the ammo. What is the velocity range and the standard deviation? How does it compare to another American manufacturer like Federal American Eagle which the AK 4774 operators union touted as being a premier ammo. You need to test it using a ballistic chronograph, otherwise it’s all talk.
