I am one of the few who really enjoyed this episode. The personal stories and fueds mixed with the battle encounters are something fresh and new. And it reminded me of the many flashbacks Ragnar used to have, I dont want to let this serie become another game of thrones. By just throwing in massive battles. This made it more unique for me. I thought it was really well made. I didn't know about all the backlash this episode received untill I went on the internet. Think I should stay of the internet more often then :D.
They're Vikings, in case you didn't notice. If you're calling someone a sicko, then you must hate every Viking on this show since they're all murderers and some rapists.
TitanGT66 The History is written by the victors. surely the Christians in that time made the Vikings a bunch of barbaric and murderous, rapists, even Michael Hirst said this (not all what was said about the vikings was real) but the fact is in every nation there are good people and bad people
In Norse mythology, Huginn (from Old Norse "thought") and Muninn are a pair of ravens that fly all over the world, Midgard, and bring information to the god Odin. That is what their presence is meant to signify. Odin is essentially "watching" what is transpiring.
it makes me so very pleased to know you enjoyed and appreciate the editing and going back in forth.. remember the episode is called "Moments of Vision" .. and its quite suiting .. alot of backlash about this episode but i thought it was a masterpiece
Eyy! Enjoyed this episode, great concept! Kinda depressed about Halfdan though, started to like him and Bjorn's relationship, as well as his and Haralds relationship. Also that 300-like scene of Ivar and the arrows was so badass 😎
this is a rough translation to the song Halfdan and Harald sing : Þat mælti mín móðir, at mér skyldi kaupa fara á brott með víkingum, fley ok fagrar árar, fara á brott með víkingum, fara á brott með víkingum, stýra dýrum knerri, standa upp í stafni, stýra dýrum knerri, halda svá til hafnar stýra dýrum knerri, halda svá til hafnar höggva mann ok annan höggva mann ok annan. "Thus spoke my mother That for me should they buy To go forth with vikings. A barque and beauteous oars To go forth with vikings. To go forth with vikings. Steer a dear vessel Stand in the stern, Steer a dear vessel, Hold course for a haven, Steer a dear vessel, Hold course for a haven, Hew down many foemen Hew down many foemen."
I actually liked the fact he died from an allergic reaction a lot. We often forget that people died from almost anything in those times and most of those things was trivial as fuck, that also extends to kings and other important bastards hehe :D
When you said you didn’t want anything to happen to Halfdan, I was like, “Uh-oh” 😂 and I’ve always taken the raven to mean Odin, but thinking of it as Ragnar is pretty meaningful too. I’m so glad you liked the editing of this episode because it felt like most people either hated it or didn’t understand it. I enjoyed it and took the pre-battle sequences to show their inner conflicts or the reasons they were fighting. Thanks for the reaction!! 🙌
Michael Hirst is like Ragnar, Ivar, and Bjorn how they anticipate their enemies moves; he anticipates what the viewers think is going to happen, and does something different. irregardless of what actually happened in history and maybe even in spite of history.
This is awesome, man! But in defense of the bee sting death. I didn't find it underwhelming at all. Just because it was the dark ages and maybe that was an allergic reaction and the inflammation blocked his lungs and people didn't know what to make of it.
Just watched this episode on blue ray with commentary, apparently the Forrest Battle with Bjorn's new wife was all done in one shot. It was later edited with cuts, but the actual filming was all done without cut.
Honestly the show went a total different way with Ivar. I thought that after Ragnar took him to England with him and gave him the blueprint to being a wise OG he would mature a bit more, but although his battle planning skills are next level, like Ragnar, he still act like a little boy.
Hi, I'm a fan from Brazil! I enjoy so much pretty much all of your reactions..you're such a nice guy and has a contagious laugh...looking forward to the new reactions to come of the other shows
*sees 5x10 reaction video by SIth in suggestion.Clicks open.clicks like.starts watching :3 PS: less than 2 mins into the video, and its eerie how good your predictions are bruh xD Great video as always :)
10:24 I don't know why but this is just the most bad ass looking version of Bjorn right here imo. He just looks like a man you would never want to run into on the battlefield.
I am giving all your old videoes a fresh round of views, 1 because it is good content, 2 because you're such good company, and 3 because I am waiting every second for SoA 2x10 😭 Today would be a good day to upload, Sith, just saying! 😁 Sending love from the other side of the sea ❤️
Sith! great vid been waiting! You are my favourite Reactor and do all my favourite shows... but could you plz plz plz do SPARTACUS NEXT! No one has done it yet be first! It Got more blood and TnA then vikings and game of thrones put together! SPARTACUS IS MADE BY THE SAME PPL THAT DO BLACK SAILS AND ASHvsEvil dead!
He died out of stupidity. Following someone who he owed nothing. Bjorn put him in danger by not judging the situation around him even though halfdan already realised something dodgy was going on.
very strange...almost not viking...viking episode..turning into something //worse. Why is people scared of Ivar? he hasnt swung a axe once...all he does is scream..writing..im worried about this show..an god WTF is floki's part in show now... that side story is horrid
I hate to talk crap about my favorite TV series ever but the last 2 episodes have been the most underwhelming since it began in my opinion... I sure hope it picks up in the second half. At the rate these 2 episodes went I only felt disappointment. Episode 9 felt extremely rushed. Nothing really "happened" except they rushed the story line in every aspect to get it to fit for the future episodes I assume. Lackluster and confusing episode without true development that would make sense. And then we have this finale... The only thing I can describe it as is "Alice in wonderland" ... but with axes. People on shrooms with hallucinations everywhere, flashbacks back and forth. Chop down a few side characters here and there without much sense or reason. Some of the fight choreography was also the worst I've seen in the series. In particular one scene of the fight where two "vikings" are seen standing around waving their swords at each other weakly like they're 80 year olds with rheumatism. Björn's new wife's scenes were terrible in my opinion too. Her "weapon" looks like she's swinging a yo-yo without much force, not something that would actually deal any damage. Then she stumbles across the battlefield like she's invisible as nobody sees her until she walks up and practically commits suicide by axe to the face. Please, please come back to the vikings series I love. This was not it.
I'm glad I'm not alone in being upset about Halfdan. I was hoping they'd keep him on the show for much longer. I wanted him to be Björn's Floki!
Kelly Marie indeed! Would have been cool. The friendship between those two is just so nice to see
That Ubbe-Hvisterk moment was the best scene of the episode man... Great acting by both of them.
I am one of the few who really enjoyed this episode. The personal stories and fueds mixed with the battle encounters are something fresh and new. i LOVED this episode.. a TRUE work of art
I think like you. This episode was different and i loved it. It is a pity that many people only want simple battles ..
I loved this episode. Love the way it was done.
Halfdan's death really fucked me up too man, I really liked him. The fact that his own brother killed him just makes it even worse for me.
Marley Mal - It messed me up too bruh 😔
banana kid then whats the point of you watching Vikings? All of them are rapists
They're Vikings, in case you didn't notice. If you're calling someone a sicko, then you must hate every Viking on this show since they're all murderers and some rapists.
from where you get that info about all the vikings were are rapists!! but the fact is you say that to defend your favorite character
TitanGT66 The History is written by the victors.
surely the Christians in that time made the Vikings a bunch of barbaric and murderous, rapists, even Michael Hirst said this (not all what was said about the vikings was real) but the fact is in every nation there are good people and bad people
Halfdan singing to Harald is the most epic moment of the series. Imo
You should watch the Halfdan's tribute that Zurik 23M did. It's amazing man!
In Norse mythology, Huginn (from Old Norse "thought") and Muninn are a pair of ravens that fly all over the world, Midgard, and bring information to the god Odin. That is what their presence is meant to signify. Odin is essentially "watching" what is transpiring.
I like your idea about the crows being Ragnar, but i think i symbolises that Odin is watching
it makes me so very pleased to know you enjoyed and appreciate the editing and going back in forth.. remember the episode is called "Moments of Vision" .. and its quite suiting .. alot of backlash about this episode but i thought it was a masterpiece

I’m also so mad about Halfdan, but at least was edited in a interesting way
As soon as I saw the desert I knew Halfdan was going. I cried.
I actually liked the fact he died from an allergic reaction a lot. We often forget that people died from almost anything in those times and most of those things was trivial as fuck, that also extends to kings and other important bastards hehe :D
After Vikings ends? I will miss Sithfurion more than either Ivar or Ragnar :D
''Y'a'ne mean''. LOL That's Sith's word....ya'ne mean.
Kahina Loren yeah great guy.

Bill The Bull Gates Det er så typisk! Jeg havde lige slukket alt, og ville lægge telefonen fra mig 😂

Halfdan was my best character. I will miss him

Thankyou for recording vikings too love this show along with game of thrones and peaky Blinders.your the man.
Yes been waiting for your reaction
This is awesome, man! But in defense of the bee sting death. I didn't find it underwhelming at all. Just because it was the dark ages and maybe that was an allergic reaction and the inflammation blocked his lungs and people didn't know what to make of it.
Neo Bryce Largo - That's exactly what happened. 😔 They are living in a time when shit like a bee sting or a common flu bug can take you out.
Hey, don't worry - your reactions are worth waiting for!
I cannot wait to watch this reaction! I have missed watching your reactions!!!!
William Peters do you know the name of the song in the beginning of the video?

PS: less than 2 mins into the video, and its eerie how good your predictions are bruh xD Great video as always :)
The crow thing is a real saga of a islandic man who had a crow on the shoulder and that built island to what it is today
And Ragnar being the crow is so true
My linear algebra test can wait
10:24 I don't know why but this is just the most bad ass looking version of Bjorn right here imo. He just looks like a man you would never want to run into on the battlefield.
Excelent music intro man xD
FINALLY! :D Don't worry, take your time.

I forgive you for the delay because you make part 1 and 2 for this reaction..and because of the intro 😂😂😂
Finally!!!!
Yeah, started to really like Halfdan. It's sad.
He died out of stupidity. Following someone who he owed nothing. Bjorn put him in danger by not judging the situation around him even though halfdan already realised something dodgy was going on.

"Weh weh, you don't love meeeee." Good grief, Ivar. Grow up already.
Pls can u react to stranger things
peaky blinders plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
