I hope they win it all but not expecting it. Its year one after all. Im happy with were the program is at. Pope is such a good dude. I believe we will win one with him in years to come.
Right there with you. The Bam, Fox, and Monk team was the last great team we had. We had some other good teams since, but a lot of inconsistency and a product that was hard to watch. Love this years team and all they have done so far. It has been so refreshing. Hope in Pope! Go Big Blue!
I’m 39 too. Became a UK fan during those seasons. My father born and raised UK. I was lucky enough to remember 94 - 98 as my first real UK memories. Hated what Cal did to this program. As a Pitino kid I never felt comfortable with Cal. Love this team. One of the best.

Team isn't soft at all. They just have had a game at UGA that they were robbed of, Clemson they just didn't play well, and ohio st they just couldn't hit shots. Usually if the game turns into a slow foul fest they struggle. But when the refs let them play their crazy good.

If there were a world for acceptable losses in competitive sports, then maybe I could live with the unranked Clemson defeat, but never ever should they have lost to Ohio State on National television inside of Madison Square gardens. The difference between a good shooting night, and a bad one is focus. Kentucky is the mecca of college basketball, if they can't get focused in for a national televised Madison Square garden, then shame on them and the coaching that did not prepare them correctly for THAT game. I do agree with you about the Ohio State game though. They really lacked focus. Too many plays and proposals I guess lol, but to lose like that, in that game, at MSG, in that spotlight, was terrible. They missed layups and easy shots. That is focus. It is also the one game I felt Pope didn't coach us up because OSU completely controlled the pace and we did nothing to speed the game up or anything. @@Ray-hr9tb yeah I agree that is the standard at UK, consistently being in the conversation to win a championship, staying top 5 -10 every year, winning or competing to win SEC championships, ect. But as for we shouldn't lose to football schools, eh, it's an entirely new era in all college sports, the landscape is a level playing field now. So there will be schools that normally couldn't compete , that will be able to now. Same in football. The Ohio State game I think the players weren't focused and didn't really lock in considering two of them got engaged on the trip up there. This team with the way they play will have nights like that where their shots might not fall, so they have to get better defensively and forcing turnovers.
Kentucky isn't flawless, but the SEC is crazy hard this year. Winning on the road is not going to be easy at all. Miss St. was ranked 14th and beating them on the road is impressive no matter how you slice it. Losing to UGA wasn't good but nobody in the SEC is going to be perfect this year. They're still a top 10 team and I don't think they'll drop all that much on Monday in the rankings.
As mentioned earlier LT I’d right what do they do if they can’t score 1 for 11 from the 3 against Texas A&M ! So let’s see how they play a 50 point scored game

Kentucky was robbed at Georgia because of bad officiating and they had a suspicious background history and then there is the Alabama game where the same officials from the Uga game and the officiating was terrible that game too where it almost went on for 3 hours. In my opinion that specific officiating group needs to be moved to a small conference or fired because they are ruining the sport
